This is actually a good idea. Fans are so starved of football by now that a probowl to kick off the season would be much more entertaining. I’d watch it.
I’m guessing the NFL doesn’t want to combine two of their events like that. They like to spread things out so that NFL conversation is evenly distributed throughout the year. Combining two lessens that.

Injury risk in the Pro Bowl was low but not non-existent. This change will never happen.
Since it’s the “Hall of Fame” game you should have the players about to be inducted, play the ones that have been inducted within the last decade.
The Toilet Bowl should replace the Pro Bowl. Two worst teams play for first overall pick.

This would be awesome if it was all somewhat recently retired players. Would love to see Peyton out there throwing bombs to megatron or some shit. They could play flag or touch for all I care.
Hall of Fame Game – two teams made up of absolute stud retired legends who haven’t made the HOF yet – either team would be admissible on a given year. Team that wins gets in. So much glory and entertainment.

Martial arts has pro wrestling. Basketball has the Globetrotters. Baseball has the Savanah Bananas. The pro bowl should become football’s equivalent. A pre scripted game full of shenanigans and stunts were the end result doesn’t matter.
