This is genuinely INSANE… | Cincinnati Bengals News

This is absolutely insane and it happens every single offseason. Welcome back to the Bengals Digest channel. Hopefully you guys are having an amazing day. My name is Carson Loki. Um, and every single off seasonason I feel like we dive deeper into offseason madness, if that makes sense. the crazy ideas, the crazy debates, um the hot topics, you know, everybody is trying to make that next video or tweet or whatever that’s going to break the internet with some wild take of there, some hot take, you know, and I feel like every single offseason, it might just be because I’m a Bengals fan, and you guys probably have noticed this way, but I feel like every single off season, there’s something about Joe Burrow that gets brought up. And I think maybe it’s because he hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet and people are expecting him to win Super Bowls and when he doesn’t they’re like yeah he’s not good every offseason it’s always all right it’s always a debate of who’s the best quarterbacks you know and in my personal opinion I have a list but I also don’t don’t really think it matters. I think what’s more relevant is um the tiers. So obviously right away I have Joe Bur Joe Joe Burrow in tier one. I think he’s a tier one quarterback in the league. Or if you want to go like tier S, tier eight, all that, he’s a tier S quarterback. If you don’t know what that means, tier S is the absolute best you can get. Um, and I think right now there’s only four tier S quarterbacks in the league. I think that’s Pat Patrick Mahomes. Obviously, I think that’s Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow. Um, then if you go to tier A, I think a name that pops up like like a Jaylen Herz would be in a tier, like just right below him. Um, but every sing every every single offseason it’s always this debate about Joe Burrow and whether he’s actually a good quarterback or not. And he always gets fans say he gets these excuses of he has the weapons, he has Jamar Chase, he has T. Higgins. And in my case, I’m like, well, both of them are elite talents, so I’m like Jamar Chase and T. Higgins, they have Joe Burrow. The reason they’re as good as wide receivers as they are is because they have Joe Burrow throwing to him or throwing to them. And Joe Burrow is as good as a QB as he is because he’s throwing to wide receivers like Jamar Chase and T. Higgins. I don’t think it’s either the wide receivers are good so the quarterback’s good or the quarterback’s good so the wide receivers’s good. Both of them make each other better. So I think that argument is just thrown out the window immediately. They do the same thing with Brock Pury. I don’t think Buck Purit is as good as Joe Burrow, but I don’t think he’s terrible. And I don’t think the only reason he led his team to a Super Bowl was because of his weapons. Um, you got to be a good quarterback to lead your your team to a Super Bowl, at least a little bit. Um, so that argument I think is absolutely stupid. It makes no sense. You can’t blame a guy because of the elite talent around him. Um, because if Joe Burrow actually sucked as a quarterback, it wouldn’t matter who his wide receivers were. He would just suck anyways. Um, and then always it’s like the list again and everybody’s putting Justin Herbert over Joe Burrow. And once again, let me clarify. Any quarterback that I mentioned in this video, I do I’m not saying they suck. Um, but I’m just trying to get my point across. They’re like, “Yeah, Justin Herbert’s better than Joe Burrow.” I’m like, “Okay, how? Why? What is your Are you saying he’s a better passer, a better runner? He’s probably better runner. He probably can move around a little bit easier.” I think that’s an underrated part of Joe Burrow’s game. They think he’s stiff in the pocket. Actually, Joe Brow has one of the best pocket presences in the league. Um, and then avoiding sacks, but his offensive line sucks, so he could sack so much, but he actually has a does a great job of avoiding a lot of them. Um, so that’s another argument. And then there’s the talking heads on the ESPN’s, Fox, NBC’s, any anything you name it. And it seems for some reason, especially ESPN, they just love to dog on the Bengals. They’re too cheap. But now we pay our players. Oh, they’re spending too much money. So, what do you want us to do? Do you want us to not pay our players or do you want us to pay our players? Um, they were mad at us about the Stewart deal saga. Um, I don’t think that was the Bengals faults either. I think, as I’ve said multiple times, there was fault of both Jamar Stewart and his agent and Bengals, same with Trey Hendrickson, which has to be solved out. But then there’s people like Chris Kanty and I love I like Chris Kanty. Um I think anybody who is up in that status of being a on air personality talent at the ESPN is up there for a reason. Obviously he played NFL all that good stuff. So you got to take his opinion, anybody’s opinion with a grain of salt. Um but this is he is he always seems to be talking bad about the Cincinnati Bengals. I don’t know why. I don’t know what he did, but this is what he had to say. Um they were talking about the Bengals chances in the AFC. I think the Bengals every single season have are a contender for the AFC Championship. I think that’s without a doubt not a crazy saying. Uh but this is what he had to say. He said not just the Bengals, but he said Joe Burrow’s best days might be behind him. And then later on they were talking about elite quarterbacks and he said Joe Burrow is not an elite quarterback. And his reasoning, though I don’t agree with it, is what he this is, let me explain what he said. He said, if we’re going through a podium, right? Number one gets a gold, number two gets a silver, number three gets a bronze, the fourth doesn’t get anything. So he’s saying Joe is the fourth best quarterback in the league, meaning he’s not elite because he’s saves that for the top three guys. Um, I disagree with that. I can see that. Um, and if you don’t think Joe Bro is a top three quarterback, I think one that’s the problem. Um, and he started talking about bodies of work. Obviously, Patrick Mahomes, um, three Super Bowls, MVP, Super Bowl MVP, the guy is obviously the best quarterback in the league right now. And then he started talking about body of work for Josh Allen, amazing talent. And Lamar Jackson, amazing talent. And in my opinion, I already said my tier S, those are the four big names, the four elite quarterbacks. I think there’s four elite quarterbacks in the league. Once again, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson. Um, but he was talking about their body of work. They’re saying the body of work that Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have done or have accomplished in this league is more than Joe Burrow. And to me, I disagree with that fact. Yes, Lamar Jackson has won MVPs. Yes, Josh Allen has won an MVP. I don’t put as much value on an MVP as most people would. One, I think it’s a quarterback award and it’s a popularity contest. Think about Lamar Jackson. Amazing talent, but he wins because he can run. That’s not a once again, that’s not a crazy thing to say. He wins because he can run. Josh Allen kind of the same thing. Um, and I think they didn’t want to just keep giving Lamar Jackson MVP every single year. So, they went with with Josh Allen last year. But if we’re saying out of the four big names, who’s the most valuable to their team, which is what the award is called, most valuable player? Joe Burrow is the most valuable player to any of those four teams of any of the four big names. Patrick Mahomes with the Chiefs, Josh Allen with the Bills, Lamar Jackson with the Ravens, and Joe Burrow with the Bengals. Joe Burrow is the most valuable to his team. If you take all four of those quarterbacks off their team, the Bengals would be the worst. He is the most valuable to their team. Um, and I don’t have to go through the stats. You guys know all know his stats. He led the league last year in passing touchdowns and passing yards and was the least amount of blitz quarterback, but the most sacked and most hit and fastest hit. Um, with being the least blitz doing all those things with, um, Tigers out for a little bit, Jamar Jamar Chase was out with for a little bit. um and with a terrible defense. And people use that excuse or like oh he had to stay play the entire game because his defense was keeping it a close game. I’m like most quarterbacks play the entire game. Joe Burrow was just lighting up every single defense he played. How is that his fault? That’s he’s doing what he’s supposed to do. He’s supposed to get points and that’s what he was doing. He was getting points and that led to him leading the league in passing yards and passing touchdowns. But then Chris Kanty went on to say, “The only the only thing that you can tie to Jo’s name is the fact that he beat Patrick Mahomes on the road to eventually losing to the Super Bowl.” I put more weight I put more weight on winning an AFC Championship and making it to the Super Bowl, at least a Super Bowl appearance. I think Joe Burrow will win a Super Bowl eventually, but I put more weight on winning the AFC, being the AFC champion than and getting a Super Bowl appearance than a MVP. I think for Joe Bberto, even if if that’s the only thing you would credit him with, with the fact that he has an AFC Championship, I would rather take an AFC Championship win and trophy and a empty trophy case that says we made it to the Super Bowl one time over MVPs in my personal opinion. I think that body work is better than MVP because even look at Joe Burrow’s playoff record. Joe Burrow hasn’t made the playoffs, which is not his fault. In the past two years, the last two years he has not made the playoffs. He still has a better playoff record than Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen combined. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson both have combined have a worse playoff record than Joe Burrow by himself. What does that body of work show you? And also neither of them have won a AC championship. Neither of them have even been to the Super Bowl. Once again, Josh Allenar Jackson, amazing talent. If we didn’t have Joe Burrow and we had Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen instead, I would I love them to death even anyways, but you know, I would love them to be the Bengals quarterback. Not saying they’re trash, but I’m just saying with that argument of the body of work, I think the AFC Championship trophy leading your team to an AFC Championship when they had a a mid-tier defense and one of the worst offensive lines in the league, winning an AFC Championship with that team and at least getting them to the Super Bowl, I think that’s a better body of work than a couple MVPs. Once again, let me clarify. I don’t put a lot of a lot of um weight into the MVP award. I think it’s more of a popularity contest. It’s a quarterback award. All that good jazz. I think Joe Burrow will win a Super win a MVP eventually, and I’m going to love it when he does. And I think he’s going to win a Super Bowl eventually, and I’m I’m going to love it when he does. But as of right now, the body of work that Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Andrew Burrow have had, if I was a team, if I was a head coach or GM of a team, right, and all their accolades, right, got put in put in front of me and there was nobody’s name tied to it. Just one of them said one MVP. The other quarterback said three MVPs and the other one said leads you to an AFC championship, wins it, and gets you to the Super Bowl, but you lose it. I’m picking the quarterback that’s taking me to the AFC Championship, winning me an AFC Championship, and then at least getting to the Super Bowl because then I’m like, “All right, I have a quarterback that can at least lead me to Super Bowl, and then we’ll get it done and win it in the Super Bowl eventually.” That’s why I would put Joe Brow number two and say, “Yes, he’s a of course an elite quarterback.” And I think every offseason, the fact that we try to argue that he’s not is stupid um and needs to stop, Joe Burrow is obviously an elite quarterback. And if some if somebody says they’re not, he he’s not um don’t listen to him. They don’t know what they’re talking about. They don’t know football. But this video was a bunch of ranting about Joe Burrow in the media offseason saying that he’s trash or whatever. But I think we all know that Joe Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. I put him at number two and I think if you just if you agree that there’s a big four, then I think we can agree to disagree on the order you put those four in. 1. A title with Burrow as the QB will probably be the only thing that will shut the majority of people up, but there will be people that will still be hating on Cincy. Is it so wrong that Cincy actually wants to pay the guys and actually make sure the guys gets as much as they say they are paying. Using void years on a contract is just another way to lie to players…

  2. What’s up Carson , good to see ya again! I think you nailed it with all your talking points! I agree with everything you said!
I did not realize Joe had more playoff wins than Josh and Lamar combined?
Kinda blew my mind with that one!
    WhoDey!

  3. What are you talking about bro? I have yet to see any major media person to not have the top 4 QBs as Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe and Pat in some way. Maybe a couple of hot take artists say dumb shit but everywhere has the top 4 the top 4.

Yes the national media hates the Bengals and they will be under rated.
