This CHANGES EVERYTHING For The Los Angeles Chargers…
All right, guys. In today’s video, we’re going to be talking about the offensive line because Jim Harbaugh has essentially made his decision who the starting five is going to be. It’s the same as last season minus right guard who is going to be Mai Beckton. Now, he hasn’t practiced in a week or so, so that’s not that the end of the world obviously, but until Beckton is out there with the other four, I mean, I’m not going to be able to get too much of a grasp on the line. But for now, going off of what we have, let’s talk about it. So, for those of you that have been following my videos all summer, you know that I’m not very thrilled with the decision to essentially run it back with Bradley Boseman and Zion Johnson. I was fully on board of converting Johnson to center and then just getting another guard, but the Chargers obviously are not doing that. I don’t know why. Like, I get Zion hasn’t played center and it’s going to take him some time, but it seems like we were a little bit misled. the Chargers. The reason why they’ve been playing Zion at center is for more so just versatility. That way he can play multiple positions if there’s an injury, things like that. I just I’m not huge on them as players. They haven’t shown us any sort of reason of why they should continue playing. Like Bradley Boseman last season gave up 30 pressures. That of course was the fourth most in the NFL. Zion Johnson gave up 37 pressures. There was only eight guards who gave up more in the league. Justin Herbert against the Texans, I get wasn’t at his best, but when he’s constantly under pressure, there’s no run game. No one outside of Lab Maki can make a play, what is he really supposed to do? It just it doesn’t make sense, man. I mean, all the moves the Chargers have been making have been brilliant, but this one, I just can’t wrap my my head around it, to be honest. I mean, if you guys have something to add, maybe you can sort of change my mind and, you know, for all I know, maybe they will end up bouncing back and being better. I would have personally liked to see more Jamari Sawier. I’ve been talking about him a lot the past week. I think he was incredible in the Hall of Fame game against the Detroit Lions. He’s lost a lot of weight. He’s always had the talent. Came out of Georgia. He’s got the work ethic, man. Why not give him an opportunity? I know he was bad against the Texans, don’t get me wrong. Like, he was really bad, but he’s put in the work this summer. And I mean, I just I don’t understand it, man. I really don’t to be honest. I’d be fine with just putting Zion at the center and then putting Solier at left guard. I think the Chargers would be a lot better. But not to say that I know more than Jim Harbaugh. Like I’m not trying to say that much. That’d be absurd. But it’s just very very confusing to me just how the Chargers are just going to have the same unit that struggle. Like the offensive line, the interior was the weakest link of the team last year. So we’ll wait and see on that. And maybe we’ll get more clarity in the next couple of the preseason games. But in terms of practice yesterday, I’m recording this on Tuesday, so Monday’s practice was pretty interesting. I talked about how Trey Harris had his best practice of camp the day before, but then he had two big drops on this day. He did have a couple of good catches, but Herbert had two beautiful throws to him. One of them was on a go route. He was able to create a couple yards separation and Herbert faked a handoff before throwing on time and on target to Harris. The ball went right off of his hands and then later in a red zone period, Harris came open on a wheel to the back left corner of the end zone. Herbert threw another perfect ball. Harris could not make the catch. He did have, of course, two of his other three targets in practice beating catches, including an explosive reception on a dig route off a play action, but it did seem like a step back. And the Chargers did bring in Keenan Allen for a workout on Friday, which is interesting because this is the first time I’m hearing about this. It’s Tuesday. I had no idea, man. How how I wasn’t able to find that out. But Kino did impress. The issue is that he’s best in the slot and Laki plays in the slot. So, how exactly do you get both of them into the offense is going to be the thing. I will say that having too many good football players is never a bad thing. So, like I wouldn’t mind that at all. And this isn’t the keen non from 20120. I mean, we all know that. I do think that just having a guy that Herbert’s played with and he knows him best would certainly help the offense. Uh, and Trey Harris and Kendrick L Smith, as much as I like them, they’re rookies. You can’t expect two rookies to sort of come in here and to just get it going right away. Like that’s very very rare. I mean there are plenty of rookies that do come into the NFL and play well like llanki last season was a stud but it just doesn’t happen that much man. So I wouldn’t mind Keen Allen at all. It’s just weird because Mike Williams retired and Keegan Allen comes back. But man these are guys that this is why I started my Chargers channel was just guys like Keen Allen and Mike Williams Herbert. Austin Eckler. Austin Eckler for those of you that don’t know he used to be the profile pitcher. It wasn’t Justin Herbert. It was Austin Eckler. big Austin Eckler fan, man. Even with Washington now, I thought he had a good year last year, but his explosiveness was way down. And I get why the Chargers had to move on. But in terms of the starting offense against the starting defense, so it was a twominute 11 on 111 drill, 40 seconds on the clock. The offense started at the 40 yard line, no timeouts, so not much to work with at all. And Herbert is without, you know, a lot of his weapons, too. So he’s going to have to make it work. and he completes a pass to Jaylen Johnson on the first snap of a stop route to the right for a sevenyard gain. The offense hustled to the line and Herbert converted the first down by finding Harrison in a comeback route. Herbert then spiked the ball to stop the clock with 10 seconds remaining. The offense then faced a second and 10 from the 20 yardd line. Yeah, I mean that’s a long ways to go with no timeouts in 10 seconds. Obviously, you have to be able to get out of bounds on that. You’re probably looking at two plays. So Herbert, he attempted to throw to the right sideline to receiver Quinton Johnson on a comeback route. Cornerback Dante Jackson jumped the pass and should have picked it off. It fell incomplete. Her ball ended the series after this play, which makes sense, too, because you have to throw a ball into the end zone at that point. Um, which, you know, it’s kind of good practice and all, but the point of the drill is to just be efficient and, you know, try to score and things like that. But um in terms of just the overall day for the offense, I completely lost my train of thought, guys. What was I gonna say? Uh oh yeah, I was gonna say, yeah, Dante Jackson, he continues to put together good practice after good practice. And I feel so proud of myself, too, because I remember when the Chargers brought him in, I was thinking Dante Jackson, I mean, he’s got he’s got potential here to to see some serious snaps at corner, and he’s just been making play after play, and it’s to the point where you can’t ignore it. The Chargers already have some very good defensive bags, but I think he’s been just as good, if not better, than them, which is pretty cool. And the Chargers did end up doing multiple red zone 11 on 111 periods. Herbert threw touchdowns at Jaylen Johnson, receiver Jaquy Jackson, and tight end Aronda Gads. Good to see Gadson whenever he makes a play. It’s exciting just because the Chargers haven’t had many explosive tight ends. Like, you know, Tamio Gates is like a goat, but outside of him, they haven’t really had that playmaker. So, hoping that Gads can become that. And he’s not even a tight end. He’s listed as a tight end, but he’s just a receiver playing tight end, which certainly has its benefits as well. And in terms of some guys who didn’t practice yesterday, Junior Coulson, Kyle Canard remains out. Will Dizzley. All right, guys. I’m always thankful to have my list of pronouncing names that you guys uh have been telling me about because I have to go check it. I don’t know why I continue to struggle, but Justin, it doesn’t seem that difficult to say, but he remains out too. the defensive line for the Chargers. We just talked about Canard. It’s giving opportunities for other players to be able to go out there and to have opportunities. And that’s actually perfect timing because that’s all I got for today. I do want to talk about Terry McLaren maybe in the next video. Let me know if you guys are still listening if you’d like to see Terry McLaren in Los

I don't get it either…why not pick up Scherff?

I really think that KLS is going to turn out to be the better receiver in this draft class
Clickbait! Thumbnail: this changes everything! Summary: nothing has changed!
The OL has been upgraded, plugging in Becton at the weakest spot where Pipkins and Salyer played poorly last season. Even with Bozeman and Johnson returning, they will be improved, there will be continuity after having played a season as a unit. Upgrading the run game significantly will help the OL with pass pro as well.
So you post a video with a thumbnail of players who no longer play for the chargers, right….
Zion should be center.Bozeman should be a backup.Zion built for it and his athletism looked good in the Hof game.Snaps will come with practice
Neither Keenan or Ladd are full time slots. I’ve been saying this for a long time now. There is room for both. Trestman and Brady will have to scheme it up!
K13 is back in the building!!!!!
We just signed Keenan…. Less than an hour ago. I was there for this training camp. I thought Rice had a really good day. As well as Dre (KLS). Harris made some good plays too.
