  1. Have as many hits the last two nights as brewers had runs tonight. Easiest schedule in the second half though!

  2. I looked for the Cubs offense at Binny’s Beverage Depot but couldn’t find it. Probably not worth drinking.

  3. I think the organist is playing Comfortably Numb. Just hilariously perfect

  4. They had Big Mo come up, be super clutch with 2 outs and clear the bases, then said no we don’t like that and now we do this, team needs change, team needs Big Mo

  5. For the “put Tucker on the IL” people … Tucker hurt his finger June 1st. He hit .311/.404/.578 that month with 5 HRs.

  6. I don’t think they’ll stay this bad so I think the wild card is still on the table, but yeesh, what an ugly three or so weeks of ball.

Seven hits across two games isn’t gonna yield many wins. In this case, it got us zero.

I’m fully on board with putting Tucker in the IL and promoting Cassie or Mo.

  7. I for one am glad we didn’t trade any serious prospects to go for it this year. These guys just aren’t good enough.

And Tucker is going to try to argue he is worth $400M in the off-season?

  8. We can’t get outhit by the Reds 15-7 in 2 games at home. So what now? 3 hours in the cage for everyone? 2 hours of pitching film? Mandatory weights? Bench every regular starter tomorrow so they have 48 straight hours of tee work? We better fucking sweep the fucking Cards. Gotta be our get right series.

  9. The rest of this season depends on if Tucker gets hot again, it’s really that simple at this point.

  10. We all really thought counsell was the missing piece. Little did we know that Milwaukee is just a much better run franchise. Craig’s probably more pissed than anyone he left.

  11. The team isn’t even fighting and Craig just seems like he has a blank stare on his face all of the time. Where is the fire?

  12. Are people still saying there’s no need to worry? Team is collapsing, this is beyond a slump at this point. What a joke. 11 game swing in the standings since we had a 6.5 game lead. Unreal.

  13. I will be taking a break from the team until they actually start acting like they want to be here

  14. Said it in the game thread but his team went from thrilling to damn near lifeless. The talent’s still there but the fire’s out.

  15. Counsell needs to be looked at tbh. Taking shota out when he’s dealing under 100 pitches, and the plate approach of swinging first pitch which worked 1-16 times today has got to stop. We used to work counts but now we’re sadly predictable

  16. I think I’m actually done watching the Cubs for a bit. Gonna watch some games I don’t have a stake in. Maybe pay attention to the NL East race. I can’t keep staying up to make sure I don’t go to bed angry.

  17. The Cubs are truly on the trajectory the 2021 White Sox were on. First in the league in the first half, everyone firing on all cylinders. Then .500 ball the rest of the way and gaps exposed in the first round that weren’t addressed at the deadline

  18. Hey Craig, put me in! I can go 0-4 with at least three strikeouts for a lot cheaper than your current guys
