913 9:14 we’ve got Bailey Falter. He’s with the Royals pitching for the Royals today at plus 138. Brian Beao and the Red Sox at – 155. His total of 9 and a half with some juice to the under at minus 115. Bdub, what do we think here? Bailey Falter. And when I saw it today, I go, “Oh, I didn’t realize he got traded from the Pirates.” I don’t know why anyone would want Bailey Falter. He’s terrible, but nonetheless, here he is going up against the the Red Sox who have a lot of ways they can beat you from the left side of the plate here. I would lean the Red Sox here, but again, Brian Bea is another one of these really good, really bad, you know, wide range of outcomes type of guys. What do you think here, Bub Royals Red Sox? Yeah, I think that this good opportunity for the uh for the Red Sox here. I don’t I’m with you, Kyle. I don’t know why you would pick Bailey Falter. uh up. I mean, may maybe they say they see something that that the metrics don’t, but you know, he’s the 147th uh best pitcher out of 150 guys. So, but it’s interesting because you you you wonder um what what the other what the team does see in him because obviously they thought in something, I guess. I mean, they’re putting him in into the rotation, but I’m not going to step in front of this this Red Sox train. uh they might have something something going on here. I’m not a big fan of Beao. Uh but I just think that the disparity between Falter and and Beo is is so big uh based on the advanced numbers and and one of the things that strikes uh Falter 15.3 strikeout percentage last 17 median. He’s got a BBK of 61 and a location number 31%. So just poor numbers. Uh Boston I think offensively has kind of been upgraded for me. They’re they’re about 15th in baseball, but they were down a little bit. I think that they’ve, you know, this uh uh Roman, he’s he’s got a 400 uh on base percentage. That’s that’s pretty damn good. So whether the guy can keep that going, they have a lot of young components there and so there’s going to be some variance, but I made uh the Red Sox the first five Boston uh the first leg of the bass winner parlay, Kyle. Yeah, I think Red Sox first five makes a ton of sense. We got some nominations for songs here, Kenny. We’ve got Sandman. Uh, that’s like Mariana Rivera. We’ve got the intro song is Stravinsky, the auguries of spring from the right of spring. Do not know uh what that is. We got Bobby Jensen’s Kid Rock. Boom. That one which uh you know Kid Rock seen him in concert with you guys. Do you guys not know Ball? Ball with the ball. It’s called It’s literally called Ball with the Ball. Oh, ball with the ball. There we go. So, we got uh Wham. Wake me up before you go. Okay. Wake me up before you go. That’s an entrance. No, the kid rock one would be good, but cowboy, you know, one of the best lines in the history of of music writing is, “I’m g I’m going to start an escort service for all the right reasons and set up top of four seasons.” Something like that. We’re paraphrasing it, but that that was really good. It It’s interesting because I’ I’ve been to a lot of concerts and I saw Kid Rock when he was with Pamela Anderson years ago. I saw him with Aerosmith and Run DMC at the San Diego Sports Arena. Kids Kid Kid Kid Rock live is way different than his music. He is so good live. The best live show I ever saw. I mean, he was absolutely fantastic. And I’ve seen a ton of concerts. He was really, really good. I saw him with Run DMC and Aerosmith at the San Diego Sponsor. Yeah, it was a sick concert right before homeboy died, too. Right before he died. So, it was cool to get that uh to get that in. Now, getting back to this game here, Kenny. Royals Red Sox. Like I I didn’t even realize Baya Falter was traded. Um I guess they just feel like they don’t have enough middling right-handed. I guess having Lorenzan and Waka and these other Seth Lugo, I guess it’s just not enough. They need another middling. I I keep forgetting Baya Falter’s a lefty. Uh I I don’t get it here. Uh I like the Red Sox in this spot. What do you think here? Red Sox Royals. Yeah, you mentioned it earlier when you were teeing up this game. It’s just like I feel like Beo, it’s either really good or it’s really bad. And as of late, it’s it’s it’s been consistently really good. I mean, he hasn’t given up more than I feel like this is a, you know, a fair metric of like good versus bad. I mean, he hasn’t given up more than three earned runs since before Memorial Day, like miday. So, he’s been pretty consistently solid. Now, the strikeout numbers are kind of all over the place. You know, he he got he had 10 in a complete game against the Rockies. He had eight against the Yankees, and then he’s consistently been like four to six. um a little bit more walks as of late, which is certainly uncharacteristic for him, but I still think the stuff looks really good. I’ve always been I think higher on this guy than I probably should. Um and right now I am I think for the rest of the season I’m just I’m I’m down on this on this Royals offense, man. Especially away from KC. I just again I think that I know they’re only what three and a half out of the wild card, but again, if they’re getting Bailey Falter at the deadline, I mean that doesn’t really just exude confidence that this is a team that’s sending it the rest of the way. Um and they got I mean they got carved up by who was it? Chris Basset yesterday. I think they had one hit going into the eighth inning. So, I I don’t know. I think this I know that Beao is more of like a boomer bust kind of guy. So, I wouldn’t take his his standard prop, but I think if you have a spot that you like him in, I think you go for sort of the max upside here. So, I’m doing that. I did Beao uh five plus Ks and then I did a half unit on Beao 7 plus Ks. I just I’m I’m feeling a Beao outlier gain here and I want the max exposure. There we go. Uh I’m seeing some good the dip by Freak Nasty. That’s not a bad entrance song here. Uh, in the air tonight, of course, you know, that’s a a classic. What if I what if I hit you with what if you come out as a closer and I just play loonies? I got five on a Kenny and I’m just like bump and I just come out there like I’m getting baked out in the bullpin just coming out chill. I just chill the crowd like chill out. I’m going to I’m going to strike everyone out. Uh, I don’t hate that too. I wish I had an entrance. I really do wish I had an entrance. But purposes of the show, we’re going to lock in the first leg of the base winner parlay, taking the Red Sox first five. And Kenny’s got a couple looks here on Bri Brian Beo. 5Ks at plus 134 and a half a unit you said on 7ks at 5 to1. It’s 5 to1 for 7ks. It’s not terrible. Again, the Royals the only push back I would have the Royals can at times be difficult to strike out, but that’s baked into the price. That’s why you’re getting the price you are getting. Just hope that Gabe Morales is not not behind the play cuz the dude’s a complete blind Just an idiot. Just the worst. I I He’s just the absolute worst. I don’t feel bad saying it. There’s some guys that are pretty bad. He might not be as bad as the next bad guy, but I hopefully that’ll change. I think they’re going to get do the the ABS thing next year, which will be good. I can’t wait. I can’t wait for that. I I mean, strikeout props are going to go up like you won’t have these umpires. I mean, this this guy on Friday night, Jacob Lopez, throws it right down the middle. Strike three, Kito Marte, strikeout six. And he calls it two pitches in a row right down the middle. He calls him a ball. And I I I I rewatch the pitch. Like I don’t know how you could miss this and call yourself a major league baseball. I don’t know how many games you’ve umpired, Kyle, but I I did a lot when I was zero major league games. I league games. I did a lot of college and and high school games and when I was younger too and my vision was good and and these guys are older than I was. It’s it’s tough. It’s really hard to be fair to these guys. It’s hard to call the game. But you have the technology like hell you can’t even like So the strike is a strike if it hits the the corner of the box. You can’t tell me even Ted Williams maybe be the only guy that could tell you if it was a strike or a ball. He had like 1220 vision. Uh and these umpires don’t. So I I don’t know why uh MLB so reluctant. I mean, you know, you saw it work in the at spring training in the All-Star game, you know, have a meeting, put it in in play for the rest of the year. It’s just so dumb. It’s it’s it just you can’t you can’t do it mid you I agree. I want them to do it eventually, but you can’t do it mid-season. And I’m someone I I think like the league would be better off doing that, but like that’s just you can’t make that change mid-season. I mean, it’s I it’s like when they changed like when they when they implemented like that sticky the sticky stuff rule like two years ago, they implemented it like beginning of June. It’s like you can’t do that. Like you’ve already like I’m here for it. You’ve already built up the routine. But um I I agree, man. And to your point, Kyle, I feel like I’ve seen more like umpires have blown calls at home plate, you know, a thousand times over the last just it it happens. I can’t remember a time where I’ve seen more pitches that are legit middle middle right down the dick get called balls. Like that is there’s been so many like viral worthy pitches this year that just it’s it’s almost stunning. Um the one thing I saw online, this was the uh like the joking conspiracy angle was that homeplay dumps know they’re about to get rep replaced by robots, so they’re just saying f you to everybody. And that’s how it feels. It it really does. It’s tough. I mean, you’re not wrong. Like these like I get it. It’s hard to call a game, but if you are a professional paid major league umpire and you can’t figure out when a ball’s right down the middle that it’s a strike, then you don’t belong in that job. I mean, end of story. They might have been blocked out. It’s hard. It’s really I can see how that does a catcher moves and they, you know, or you just you blink at the wrong time, but it’s so dumb because we have like when we’re watching the game, we have a lot better angle than than they do. It’s really hard sometimes down there uh with with all the movement of the catcher, but it it like it exist. The technology is there like just use it. It’s so stupid. That’s what I say. Yeah, that’s what I say as well. Again, purposes of the show locking in.
