Rays vs. Angels Game Highlights (8/5/25) | MLB Highlights

Unfortunately are 55 and 59 right now. The Angels leapfrogged them in the standings last night with their 51 win over Tampa Bay. They are 55 and 58 as jose Soriano has been pitching better here in his home ballpark of late is on the mound, especially when you go back to that game. He had against the Texas Rangers. He threw the ball at his one earned run in seven innings pitched and he takes strike call from Soriano in the strike zone. The batter is Cray home run and RB I leader swing and a miss strike three strikeouts in the inning for Soriano and the inning comes to an end well, taking the mound tonight for the Tampa Bay Rays going to be right hander ryan Peep six and nine on the season. Er, a 380, pretty good whip there at 118. Trout was one for four last night. He has a little three game hitting streak going 237. His season average, another 22 is top of the zone called strike three on the outside corner locates well and gets a 123 1st with his first, getting his first start at third base goes after the first pitch and grounds one on the left side. Nice stop there by and he get him at first. He did. That was a real nice play there by Oswald Perazzo is getting his first start as an Angel. One of the reasons he’s in there tonight at third base. Yoan mcada was placed on the restricted list, lost two strikes on Deluca on a swing and a miss. And that’s another strikeout for Soriano. Here’s hunter Fuc hard parra with the backhand pick sets himself and throws out fuc see his hands. That’s a tough play line drive. One hop made it look pretty easy and it was not an easy play. Two outs here is Simpson as he hits one in the air right center field, joe Adell got a good jump. He’s there to end the inning. Bryce Teodosio stands in. He had three hits yesterday in the number nine spot swing and a miss. He got him with a beautiful change up on the hand has gotten the leadoff batter on a ground out and the last one on a strikeout, he’s perfect through three were scoreless. Well, both pitchers off to rather good starts I would say is the first batter for the high bouncer and Moore can’t hold on this time and there’s the first raise quickly looked over, unable to get that baseball in the transfer though. So now Brandon LA who had been the only other raised batter to reach base so far tonight, swinging a ball driven deep in the center back on the ball to the wall leaps and it’s gone a two run homer for brandon Laue. His 20th of the year, Rice Teodosio made a heck of an attempt and Brandon Lowe gives the Rays a two nothing lead. His third straight 20 homer season base hit three straight hits to start the inning for the Rays. Josh robbed of a hit by Peraza at third. His first time next pitch is ripped in a right, a base hit for josh Lowe. Como makes the turn at second. He’s headed to third. Lowe going to six. Joe’s throw will come into the cut off man. It’s a double rip to right for josh Lowe. The Rays have four consecutive hits now in the fourth. Now the infield comes in for the Angels already down. Two nothing man had a bouncer back to Soriano his first time and be the hitter here. Look at this thing through the infield and it will get two runs home as Jake man drives in and Lowe. Jake Man. Baltimore chops it past the draw field and the Rays have doubled their lead grounded out to first time up swinging a ground ball the other way. It’s against the defense and rolls on the left base hit man makes the turn at second. He’s going to third fuc digging for two and he’s in there without a throw, a little roller for a double and the Rays once again get run to scoring position. 2nd and 3rd. That will bring the infield in again for Taylor Walsh. The, the flip to the plate safe at home as Mangum scores Fiducia to third five nothing raise Riano desperate to get that out at the plate. Simpson in his return to the lineup is lined to right and struck out, looking sliced down the left field line, another hit Fiducia scores to third base and holding walls and Simpson to second with a double and the Rays have half dozen in the blink of an eye against jose Soriano walls to third Simpson at second to shortstop. Juggle to third Simpson is out. Diaz will get an RB I and the Rays now have a 7 to 0 lead as they take on the extra point retired all 12 batters that he has faced. He has struck out the last hitter in each inning to start the fourth bouncer in the hole. It kicks off the wall so the Angels get their first baserunner thanks to a misplay by a shortstop that rarely makes those home run for Adell last night, 22 home runs overall this year for Joe 23 Joe and now socks one into the bullpen, a two run homer. That was an absolute laser out of the ballpark. That was 100 and 16 miles per hour off the bat, the hardest hit ball by an Angel all year 20 three home run for Joe Adle with no hitter gone and the shut down gone. The Angels can put together the big inning that the Rays gone in the fourth inning. And aaron a homer now a man on base for Christian Moore grounded out his first time and a base hit for Moore. The cap in right center. It goes all the way to the wall. Oh, Hopi’s to third base. He’s being waved home. Here comes the throw and he’s out. Oh man. With nobody out in the inning and two runs home. There is zero reason to send O’hoppe there, there’s a broken bat roller, tough play with the bare hand too late. So it’s another hit. Now, runners on the corners, an infield single for Peraza. Now one out here’s Teodosio line drive to second caught by Louth first in time, double play. Brandon Laue has done everything tonight as Teodosio hit on the screws and the rays were positioned perfectly hit a rock of a home run. His last time he’ll have a chance to swing the Angels right back into this game single handedly pops this one shallow, right. It might drop coming in, man. He won’t get there base hit Adell trying for second base and he goes safe as the ball gets away and Taylor Ward who could have had a chance to score there stays at third. Trout comes in, it’s 7 to 3 and the Angels caught a break there at second base it into the base hard and it finishes Peep’s night. Flair Griffin Jacks coming in. They made it seven to three. Now base hit could make it seven to five swinging a shot to first on one hop. It’s snared by Diaz and Jack gets pep out of trouble and damage. Johnny Deluca will try to become the first base runner against and a chopper off the plate rolling to second Moore has got it bare hand, can’t make it cleanly and Then the ball goes off his bare hand in a shallow center. Deluca goes for two and no throw by the shortstop netto and the Rays get a hustle double their first baserunner against the Angel bullpen, two out runners at second and Diaz and it will take a hit for the Rays to tack on here, fly ball to right here. Give him three scoreless innings. Good job by Carson. Fair closer for the Rays has 18 saves this year. This is not save chance with a four run lead, but we’ll see the closer in a four run game. This should be the first out in the inning is de Luca puts it away and there’s one, 32 inside corner for called strike three. I mean, what you can do with that? You’re hoping that it’s, that’s it. Here. Is christian Moore doubled up the gap in right center field a big point in the game because that’s when Logan Ope was thrown out at home. No fastball. And it ends the night anyway, he Fairbanks does slam the door and the rays indeed come up with a victory over the Angels. Their first win of this 12 game four city road trip.

  1. What was that 3rd base coach for the angels thinking? You’re only down 5 and you would’ve had 2nd and 3rd with no outs and the next batter got a hit to add to that as well.

  2. I’m over being an angels fan. Terrible coaching, awful GM. We have had the talent for 10 years but bad coaching and GM have kept us injured and in motivated.

  3. A win? Am I seeing this right. What is a win? I’m a Rays Fan. I don’t know what a win is. I only know about losing. Someone please explain to me what a win is. Gg Angels

  4. Rays playing spoilers at this point, after digging themselves quite the hole.
They'd have to go on a 15-20 game win streak just to be 10 games over and/or in the mix.
    Possible? Yes.
    Probable? No.
    Call up Williams and Seymour.
Let them play out the rest of the season.

    Big changes coming this off-season!!!

  5. I have nothing to say today.😬
We want to win tomorrow though .💪 Hmm, Anderson starting ? He hasn’t been winning lately, so I’m a little worried …。 Stay strong !!! 🔥
