“Competitive team” my fucking ass.
Logan ain’t a major leaguer
These are hard pills to swallow. Easier if we just got blown out every game. The opportunities are there. They are losing to themselves.
Angels fucking suck
Bad teams find ways to lose close games.
16 strikeouts…

I hate to admit it, but I kind of miss when this was happening. It at least gave me some hope for a playoff appearance.
Close game, Zef with the loss.
This was the quintessential “That’s why you don’t fucking sell.”
So close to free tacos yet so far
Lose 2 series immediately after this extremely competitive team does nothing at the trade deadline. Vibes must be high.
So if the excuse for losing 2/3 to the White Sox was “tHey’vE BeEn gOOd SinCE tHe AS breAk,” then what’s the excuse for losing to the Rays?
If you want to know why we lost:
O’Hoppe: 0/4 , 3Ks, 4 LOB
Moore: 0/3, 3Ks, 5 LOB

This team is so competitive I love it
These guys are not that amazing imo
2-4 since doing nothing at the Trade Deadline. “Playing meaningful games” has quickly turned to being six games back of a playoff spot on Aug. 6.
IT’S OVER JOHNNY.
RICHARD CRENNA FIRST BLOOD.
We lost the ohoppe trade. Send his loser ass down
Mike Trout goes 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs as the Angels lose 5-4. Feels like we’ve been stuck in the twilight zone for the last 15 years
I find it genuinely laughable that a MLB GM would look at this roster and think they are a competitive threat to the postseason late in the season. Especially given their record and run differential. They are tied for third last in run differential in the entire AL. They are tied with the WHITE SOX…
What a joke of an organization.
Angels have a better chance at finishing last in the division than they do making the playoffs. Let that sink in and then try not to laugh when you hear Perry talking about being competitive late in the year.
Tampa has a very similar to record to us and they bought at the deadline. 2 of the relievers that shut us down today, Baker and Jax, they just recently traded for.
I’m so sick and tired of guys trying to be a hero man. Bases loaded no out MAKE CONTACT.
You’re NOT THAT GUY.
We will never be true contenders until someone in the org starts preaching this to our players
I don’t see any of the cope people today? Where is the guy that was saying the plan was working and we are exactly where we need to be?!?
Are the meaningful games still in the room with us?

Well, this seems oddly fitting.
We need Stephenson back so Ray doesn’t have to rely on Zef anymore, guy just cant handle the high stress situations
I lasted a lot longer this year but that bottom of the 8th was the straw that broke the back on the season for me. Time for my yearly delete the MLB App and unfollow this subreddit. I’ll see y’all next spring training .
Moore is overmatched in MLB. He’s just about one year out of college and has missed time in the minors with injuries. He needs to be sent down and let him finish in the minors. There is no shame in that—he is young and needs the minors experience.
We just traded for Peraza. Why did we trade for him if he is just going to sit on the bench? He needs to be out there playing pretty much every game to see if he can be a part of 2026 or not. He is essentially a potential replacement for Rengifo but how will we know with him on the bench?
This team is going nowhere. Don’t compound the mistake of not trading Jansen thinking you are in it by not using the rest of the season to evaluate guys for next year.
Feel bad for O’Hoppe. This is a nightmare second half. I think he’ll get hot again but it’s too late.
Good grief, 16 strikeouts is pathetic…at this point, if the team can finish around .500 by the end of the season, I would consider that a successful season to be honest, especially compared to last season. Forget about playoffs!
So for the “make or break” homestand, they chose the break option. Fantastic.
Already looking forward to next year

I feel we’d be so much closer if Ron was still managing. We were hitting well above projected and we were especially good at winning one run games. It’s why we still managed to be at or just under .500 even with our brutal – run differential.
But, instead we have Ray, a Perry guy who was not brought in by Ron. I’m not going to pretend we didn’t try to play hero ball and weren’t having brutal strikeout numbers, but Ron had the feel for the game like no one else.
Can’t lie and say I’m happy where this team is at but what can fans do? Arte ain’t gonna sell, and we either support them as they are or find a new team.
