Houston Astros vs New York Yankees 8/8/25 MLB Pick & Prediction | MLB Betting Tips

What is going on guys? Brad here from pits.com and I got a pick in this Astros versus Yankees game going down on Friday, August 8th, 2025. You’ll see all my premium picks there. But let’s get right into this game, guys. We got the Houston Astros headed into New York to play the Yankees. This will be game one of the series. You know, both these teams had very different weeks, I would say. You know, the Astros went into Miami, played a tough Marlins team, a Marlins team that’s been pesky, a Marlins team that’s been hot, and I thought they looked great in that series. You know, they won that game, they won that series two games to one, put up eight runs in game one, eight runs in game two. Um, and you know, even in a loss, they put up four runs in game three. And I think that’s very positive for this Astros team because if you look at the series before that, they got swept by the Red Sox and they’re they couldn’t hit a beach ball in that game. um their offense was terrible. So, I think that’s a positive sign for the Astros. Whereas the Yankees win into Texas, lost game one, lost game two, won game three. If you watch that game though, because I had the Rangers in that game, the Rangers had chances to pull that one off. So, I was a little bit pissed there. But when you look at the the Ranger or the the Yankees last, you know, couple series, they got swept by the Marlins and then they lost a series two games to to one to the Rangers. So, the the Yankees have lost five of their last six games and now they have a really tough Astros team coming into town with their ace Hunter Brown on the mound who look Hunter Brown had started off the season incredible. He has had some hiccups, you know, over the last what month or so, but in his last two starts, he’s he really cleaned things up. Uh he allowed one earned run against the Athletics on July 26 and then he had another great start against the Red Sox only allowing one run in that game as well. On the other hand, you got Schlitler. Cam Schlitler, probably the worst last name in in all of sports. I mean, he’s nothing to brag about. I mean, he’s he’s only had four starts this season. He’s two and two with a 458 erra. I’m giving the edge to Hunter Brown, guys. And I think all around, I think the play has to be the Astros here. This Yankees team is just not a team I want to back for the rest of the season, man. Um, I just think there’s a lot of questions and I just think they’re they’ve been trending downwards since, you know, kind of before the All-Star break. You know, they start off hot, but if if if you’re a Yankees fan, man, you got the Red Sox surging, you got the Blue Jays playing great ball, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Yankees don’t make the playoffs, man. I I I really wouldn’t. So, I like the Astros in this spot. I think it’s going to be a great game for the Astros, and I honestly think it’s going to be a pretty solid series for the Astros as well.
