How Angry are Pittsburgh Pirates Fans? #mlb #baseball #sports

This is already the angriest I have ever seen the Pirates fan base and it has been mostly raging for decades now. The bucko bricks, right, where the team took out those commemorative bricks from out front of the stadium and trashed them and didn’t tell anybody they were trashing them and then had to backtrack and say, “Well, we’re replacing them. We’re going to do something else with them.” But people’s bricks were found in the dumpster in the recycling bin miles away from the ballpark. the Clemente wall when they had the commemorative 21 with the circle around it to kind of mirror and mimic Three Rivers Stadium back in the day and then they took it down for um uh it was a surf line ad hard hard seltzer hard vodka or no hard hard lemonade whatever um they replaced a Roberto Clemente tribute sign with an ad. It’s no disrespect to the company. It’s literally what the baseball team did. The team’s failure to even lift a finger to build around ace Paul Skins this past off season. All of it and more has lit a fuse. People have had enough. Their rage has gained national attention. And it really has. I’ve noticed this in the last couple years, and I’m several thousand miles away. When you have a plane flying over the home opener at PNC Park with the banner that reads quote sell the team and fans booing the manager before the game and the tiny crowds that do show up ready to erupt in the sell the team chant at any moment. I think the message is loud and

  3. Brodie, since the Commissioner basically forced Rays owner Stuart Sternberg to sell, then it's time to put Bob Nutting on notice.

  6. I doubt Nutting actually knows what his employees are doing. I’m pretty sure he would have not approved of removing the Clemente sign or the bricks since he knows what the reaction would be(and was). Seems he needs to get more involved in the day to day operations and try to clean up the mess. Or fire some of his clueless employees.

  10. Every single other team, even penny pinchers like the A’s, would KILL to have a talent like Paul Skenes under team control. This is their time, their window, to go all in. Build a competitive squad around him. And they have done nothing. Absolutely nothing. If anything, they got worse. If MLB really wants to grow the sport, force them to sell so the can get Skenes to the playoffs on a “small market” team. That’s a great storyline that at this rate, won’t ever happen.
