In whatever capacity we can have him, I’ll take it. Love to see him as manager, I’d even be happy with him as a coach. In my heart he is the ideal fit for manager. He’s a GIFT to the team, the fans and the city. Gratitude for him is an understatement.

  1. OMG. I’m going to be sitting by the dugout in Tampa. That would be amazing. I suppose he’s more likely to go to Miami since Jon Jay and others have connections there.

  2. Honestly at this point, I think a coaching position of some sort would be better than manager.

    1. I am firmly in the camp that if we make a managerial change soon (next 2-3 years) it should be from outside the organization. It’s all just stale at this point, we need some fresh air. Bloom as the Mo successor was the start, snagging Cerfolio from Cleveland was another great move. Let them choose their guy, let’s please finally put a stop to our main strategy being “nostalgia”.

    2. At the moment Yadi clearly has other shit going on, and that’s cool. He’s had that like special assistant role for years, and this is (iirc) the first time he’s really shown up. Don’t thrust him back into “mandatory” full time management, give him a coaching role that allows him full access to the team and stuff, but if he wants/needs to go back to PR for something it’s not a major disruption. That just seems like a better situation for all parties.

Now, if it was a situation of him saying “I’m going to manage an MLB team next season. You get 1st dibs” ………….. let’s just say I hope it doesn’t come to that

  3. Word on the street is that once Mo is OUT, Yadi is in. They’ll get rid of the the puppet and we will have an actual manager. Also David Freese is in talks of coming back in someway with the organization, only if Mo is no longer involved.
