To a degree, I think so. If Trae extends then we will have had the 3rd best player from the 2018 draft for over a decade and the mavs would have only gotten 7 years out of the 2nd best player from the 2018 draft.
Add the 10th overall pick in 2019 (which we pissed away) on top of that, and it was probably the right choice.
Yeah, I agree. Would’ve sucked when we traded him to the Lakers.

Of all time? Based on what exactly? So I guess the second best decision was not drafting Chris Paul? And then the third best decision was not packaging the two picks they had to get Giannis?
I’m over it. There is a new, worse “dumb Luka trade” in town and I’m happy with what we have going on.
