Chicago Bears Training Camp STOCK UP STOCK DOWN Risers and Fallers standout players

[Music] Today we’re talking about the best and worst from Chicago Bears camp. I want to talk about the players who were surprising and the players who were disappointing at this year’s camp. First up on offense, the guy who’s quietly putting together the best camp so far is secondyear wide out Rome O’Donnay. He’s my breakout player for this offense in 2025 and so far he’s putting together a really solid camp. Watch out for Rome. Next up, rookie tackle Azie Trapillo has simply looked the part at left tackle. He’s still yet to take a single snap of live action, but that’s coming up tomorrow. His preeason reps will be huge for his development. I’m expecting Azie to get an extended look even with the rest of the starters not playing. So far in camp, Azie has exceeded expectations, but I can’t wait to get some actual film on our second round rookie. Speaking of second round rookies, Luther Burton has also been extremely impressive. He missed the first three days of camp, but since then he’s made plays in every single practice. He has played all over the offense. He’s lined up in the slot, in the Z, and even split out as the X receiver at times. I haven’t seen Luther get many reps in the back field yet, but I expect that to come eventually as well. Luther’s speed has stood out, and he’s simply a playmaker. If he gets extended playing time, expect some fireworks. Another rookie, our seventh round pick, Kyle Manungai, has been really impressive in camp as well. I love that our rookies that are actually in camp have all stood out. Manungai is not an exception. He runs really hard and his spot on this roster seems to be safe. I expect him to get some playing time against the Dolphins. On defense, Jervon Dexter has played all over this defensive line and he’s simply unblockable at times. He’s extremely powerful and he explodes through the line of scrimmage. Dexter is my breakout player for 2025 on defense and he’s looked awesome in camp. Next up, I want to talk about Dominique Robinson. He’s entering year four, the final year of his rookie contract, and Dennis Allen said it best. This is a guy still learning the intricacies of the defensive end position. As a converted wide receiver, he’s only played the position for a handful of years, and most of them have been as a backup in the NFL. Dom Rom has looked more explosive and powerful in camp and he’s an intriguing player to watch in preeason. Rookie linebacker Ruben Hippolyte, he’s looked fast and he’s stood out in multiple practices and Noah Su has also put together the best camp of his young career. He’s put himself in a position to compete for that third linebacker spot at corner. Nan Wright has really been impressive. Something most people don’t know about Nan is that he’s spent three of the last four years in the NFL with defensive back coach Al Harris. He’s been running with the starters all camp long and he’s battling Tyreek Stevenson to start on this defense. Terrell Smith’s name needs to be thrown in there as well, but that battle for CB2 is really intriguing and something to watch the rest of camp. Kyler Gordon has also looked awesome this off season. Although he left practice early and he’s expected to miss a few days, reportedly he should be fine for week one, but that’s something to keep an eye on. And then potentially the standout player of all of training camp has been Jaquan Brisker. He’s fully healthy now and he’s flying all over the football field. Brisker has simply looked awesome. All he needs to do is stay healthy and his play on the football field will speak for itself. Now, I want to talk about the players who were down on this year in camp. First up is Ian Wheeler. I don’t want people to take me wrong. Ian is a player with a lot of potential, but it’s still hasn’t been a full year yet since he tore his ACL. The fact that he’s even been at camp ready to go is great news in his recovery. Unfortunately, in the first two weeks, he hasn’t done anything in camp to elevate his chances of making this roster. And then we get to Tyler Scott, thirdyear receiver. has simply not stood out in camp and he’s in danger of not making this roster. Maybe we keep him around for another year just because of his potential, but so far in camp, he’s not earned a roster spot. I do think Scott has upside and he’s a player with a lot of talent. He simply has not performed like the player I saw at Cincinnati. He should get plenty of opportunities though in preseason. Another guy I have to include is Zack Pickkins. He simply needs to do more and he’s another guy I’m gonna be watching closely over the next few weeks. And then a couple of other guys who are missing out on valuable reps right now. Tackle Karan Amagaji and rookies Shamar Turner and Z Frasier. These guys are all out with injuries right now except for Frasier who has a personal situation that’s kept him out of nearly 3 weeks of training camp. Still no word on that yet. And I just hope everything is okay with the rookie, but his chances of making this team are in danger. These guys have to make impressions and stand out. But right now, they’ve disappointed. Comment bear down below if you’ll be watching tomorrow’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. And let me know who you are most excited to see. As always, I appreciate everyone who watches. Please hit that like button for me. Stay tuned. And until next time, bear down.

  1. So much going on nfl can’t loose they playing !! So we all that luv football wanted to see shadur make his name as first or second qb…. Is it racist yea hell yea but it’s deeper they trying to break him !!! And guess what if hes unbreakable he’s a star for the nfl !!! Y is no one asking direct questions !! It’s obvious what they the beast is doing !!!I could go on I just pray he stays quiet until he can roar and roar he shall !!!!!

  2. 🐻⬇️ Roschon Johnson and Kyle Monangai!!! I’m interested to see who takes that second spot behind D’Andre Swift.

Because by years end, I believe that person will be the starter and the other will be the back up with Swift in 3 down situations but that’s just my guess

  3. I’m very interested in seeing what Sewell can bring to the field and seeing big Dex with the chains off!!! I know it’s just preseason but I’m HYPE!!! 🐻🔽

  5. Bear Down, hey swifty, I'm the guy who always gets excited over preseason football. I love watching all the young players including udfa's. Some ppl say preseason is meaningless. I disagree we pretty much know all the guys who'll make the roster, but I get excited about the ones on the bubble. Guys like Hankins, j.p. Richardson and all the other udfa's. You can't measure heart and determination. Guys who are not playing for a paycheck but for their hopes and dreams. Bear Down swifty and thanks for all these great videos.
