Michael Jordan is competing in the White Marlin Open this weekend with his 82-foot Bayliss fishing boat. MJ and the Catch 23 crew are currently in second place after weighing in a 71-pound white marlin. If the result holds, they’ll walk away with $400,000 in prize money.

  1. That’s just cheap change for guys with their own yachts. It’s like a $10 bet for us piss poor lads. Lol

  2. My cousins husband fishes on his boat and is the one who caught that 71lb marlin. She was posting pictures of him on local tv with Jordan.

He’s fished on MJ’s boat in a bunch of tourneys.

  3. More evidence that MJ really only likes competition, the particular sport does not matter

  4. 71lb marlin is good for 2nd place?

Holy shit. Who’s in 1st and what behemoth of a marlin did they catch?

  5. Jordan is fueled by competition. He probably couldn’t care less about the 400k he’s just super competitive.

  6. I did some work on this boat regarding the monitoring and control system!! Nice to see it’s competing!

  7. Love seeing former athletes have real hobbies. Seeing the likes of Shaq in every IG comment or trying to go viral, some trying to rewrite history on podcasts… just go live and enjoy the next chapter.

  8. I was there at the same time as this two years ago, we were parasailing and while suspended up in the air we saw MJ standing at the end of his Air Jordan boat while he and the other boats were coming in towards the end of the day. Was super cool

  9. This is very much what a kid from Wilmington, North Carolina, would dream of doing when he’s older.
