Astros vs. Yankees Game Highlights (8/10/25) | MLB Highlights
The Yankees have taken the field on a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in New York City, Max Fried about to begin looking for his 13th win today, which would tie him with Peralta and Crochet from Boston to tie the major league lead. And that’s two quick outs for the Yankees left hander. As you hear the introduction of Jose Altuve and the response, a familiar one here at Yankee Stadium, altuve heard that response Friday and hit the ball out to left field on the first pitch against Cam Schler. Altuve delivers deep to left field again and that one is gone. Second home run of the series 15th against the Yankees and he continues to turn that negative energy around here in the Bronx. It’s one to zero Astros before it again. If you want to get locked in on the road, just continue to boo him. That is a remarkable and milestone home run for Jose Altuve as he hits the 250 career home run. So two quick outs on three pitches and now three straight have reach and Jesus sanchez will bat playing in a miss on a high sweep will do it, does damage early. It’s 1 to 0. Houston there is Jason Alexander pitching in the Bronx Houston Alexander has not played as big a role at Yankee Stadium since Jason Alexander played George Costanza as this Jason Alexander gets a swinging strike. His first strikeout that changeup. We talked about it. It’s a great pitch. He’s got that kind of depth of movement on it. He’s going to be all right, here is Cody Bellinger. This one’s popped up and it will be in play. Caratini looking into the high sky behind home plate stays with it makes the catch for the final out. Jason Alexander works through the first Astros lead 1 to 0. Top of the order here is Jeremy Pena and Correa Altuve Pena swings at the first pitch, loops it into center. What a play by Chisholm in medium range, center field for the out makes it look easy. But that is a in betweener that is going to drop in front of the outfielders. Great job by free, getting ahead of Altuve 1 to 2 and a little punch shot into right field. That is a thing of beauty for Altuve free gets so many of those strikeouts on the back door with his breaking ball tube was ready for it just punched in right altuve with another multi hit game. He’s had a multi hit game in all three christian Walker into left field sending Dominguez back near the wall that bounces off the wall and over his head. Altuve being waved around. Here comes the throw into the infield. It will be held up. RB I double christian Walker Astros in front 20. The ball beats him to the spot. But right here if you get that cleanly in Altuve from scoring once it hit the grass, no chance at the bottom of the third Astros Yankees and Grisham Aaron Boone. Not happy with that call. That was one of the better ones , part of the zone and he’s gone. We told you, Aaron Boone wasn’t going to like it if some of these pitches were to be called. And Aaron Boone just got tossed by Darick Thomas Derek Thomas has ejected. Aaron Boone here in the third inning on a pitch that looked down, but it also looked like it might have clipped the bottom of the zone. It was close. Here’s Ben Rice. He walked his last time up. There’s two outs. This ball hit pretty well, but this half room, it looks like he does three fly out to center field. Jason Alexander thriving in the Bronx. It’s a two nothing lead. All the Astros hit to be with two outs today. Fried has retired the first two batters in every inning. Here’s Chas mccormick who lined out to right now, he stays soft and Chaz drives one to left that goes Dominguez near the wall. It’ll be what happened over the wall. Bad break for the Astros. Dan scores easily. If that stays in play. Instead, it’s a two out double putting runners at 2nd and 3rd was in business as they head back to the top of the lineup. Now, free with two outs still has an opportunity to get out of this inning. So here’s Pena, that’s a fair ball. Pena did not run by Wells and that will do it for the inning. Correo walker sanchez, your three base runners big spot for Freed Astros leading two to nothing here in the bid. You have not touched the plate from the Yankees still two runs. You’ve got to get that out here. So big opportunity for Cam zero for two today looks like he’s really kind of setting up that breaking ball again, two high fastballs and the kind of cut go back to that breaking ball or not get the call on the strike three right on the outside corner and he went with another fastball and that ball, I mean, as a pitcher, you’ve got to have that in the big situation according to the box, it’s a strike. So you understand why you want it. So now start to marry, go around bases loaded. They’ll go on a 32 pitch line drive base hit to right field, two runs are gonna score. Sanchez heading to third. He’ll be held out. Cam Smith in the second with a two RB I double. It’s 4 to 0 Astros. Big swing from the candy man right here in the Bronx got extra life with that pitch being called a ball on the edge and it pays off. Jason Alexander now, 32 years old getting a second opportunity in being a starter at the big league level. He’s basically earning his next start with the start. He’s currently pitching in. He went around what a transition for Jason Alexander from the assistant to the traveling secretary to now dominating the Yankees in their home stadium through five. Jason Alexander has thrown five , no hit innings and the Yankees take the ball from Max Fried and they’re going to go to Devin Williams, you’re going to straighten them out. These are the games to do it. This would be a low leverage situation for Williams who has been battling it, especially here at home where his fans have been frustrated with some of them standing as he walks off the mound here as he had a 123 inning striking out the side when you’re getting shut down like this and you remember, you look at what we got no hits to six. I mean, you start noticing that like the fourth and there’s the Yankees first hit. Rice goes the other way and picks up a single so now they can breathe a little easier. They have a runner on and judge coming up a one out single five and a third, no hit innings today for Jason Alexander shift focus a little bit for joe Espada in the dugout, you shift from trying to protect what Jason Alexander was trying to accomplish to trying to win the game sharply and Correa flags it to second for one six innings. A one hit shutout. Baseball for Jason Alexander, you got bases loaded and only one out. So you’ve got that opportunity to try to jump back in this game with a couple of good at bats with traffic out there and one out, the Astros are going to ask Brian Brady to do some heavy lifting 3 to 1 on Mcmahon. No place to put him popped up. Trammell makes the catch tagging and Chisholm Astros sleeping. He scores on a shallow fly ball to left field. He’s at first runs lead 4 to 1 trying to take the final game of this road trip. Carlos one for four today. A single and a run scored. Correa tries one to left field and he caught this one all the way back and gone. Carlos Correa hits his second home run in an Astros uniform in 25 and the Astros lead this 15 to 1. It’s been a while but that is in CC swinging the bat. Well, since coming back, he was number four in Minnesota, but he’s number one in our hearts. How about Altuve and Walker on a combined eight times today getting it done in the 34 spot. They’ve had a lot of traffic for victor Caratini Victor hoping to come through here a little pop up beyond short, but the infield in can get back there. He can drop in. It is Bellinger. He can’t make the throw and Altuve scores. If Bellinger was able to make the throw, he might have had a shot at altuve. Instead it’s a flare hit for and a 61 Astros lead. Now, why not force the issue against the Yankees defense? They’ve been prone to making some big mistakes but it’s ugly for the Yankees. It’s ugly. Cam smith trying to add to this five run lead. Little tapper Dub-n might beat it out and he does run scoring infield hit Astros now lead 7 to 1 crossing the plate. Christian walker with a three run ninth inning. Just Bryant’s second outing of his career against the Yankees and hoping to give the Astros a series win today, he’s one pitch away. Strikes out the side. What a bounce back from Brian King and the Astros win it 7 to 1. They take two out of three here at Yankee Stadium and they finish off this road trip winning four of the last six. Plummer. That’s a good weekend in the Bronx.

Keep booing Altuve! Idiots!
Altuve keeps pounding on the Yankees. He's an all-around player. He pokes at everything, and either it lands in the field or out of the field. You gotta pitch him low and away. Don't the Yankees look at stats?
Yankees need to get better on playing defense. And hitting
The Houston Astros are 66-52🔵🟠⚪️🚀
I know NY and Boston have been rivals since the beginning, but the rivalry between Houston and NY has been the best, and most exciting in baseball over the past decade.
GO ASTROS!!!
Bye bye Boone, but for good !
You would think they would learn to quit booing. Superstitious. He thrives on that energy now. Go Altuve. He is the BEST!!!
its like watching the Astros vs. a little league baseball team 😂
Yanks folding like lawn chairs.
Correa hit that ball to Yonkers!
Only yankmee fans make clowns of themselves. Then the players throwing the ball in from the outfield look like t-ball superstars 😂 I can't make this up.
😂😂He caught the Astros sleeping😂😂😂
Love this 😂
Yankees do it all the time so don't complain when the other team frams a pitch yankees complain no other team does complains
It's amazing that the Yankees are not in last place.
Yankees looking like little league team😂😂
The Astros’ starting pitcher has the same name as the actor Jason Alexander who acted as George Costanza in the comedy sitcom Seinfeld. Coincidentally the sitcom Seinfeld took place in New York and George Costanza worked for the Yankees. The commentator did mentioned George Costanza at the beginning of this video lol.
Fire Boone. Fire Cashman!
Yankees are matchfixing cheats… keep fading this failed organisation
Yankee stadium looks empty to me….
This is the Astros first series victory over the Yankees since the 2022 ALCS.
How bout them Astros lets Fn go!!!
es lamentable cómo se está manejando el equipo :/
Hay que olvidar a los Yankees ya esto no se puede ver son el peor equipo ahora mismo
Yanks peeps: it’s probably better the Astros knock you out now rather than in the playoffs 😊😅
Imagine getting no hits for 5.1ip
Jason was not playing today
You think Yankees fans would learn by now that booing Altuve is equivalent to giving Popeye a can of spinach, it only makes him stronger. 😂
Don't care how many home runs Altuve (or Correa) hit, keep booing them. Neither should be anywhere near a baseball field.
absolutely outclassed today.
So Altuve hits another homer AND its a milestone 250th homer, AND its in the yankees backyard, AND the returning Correa hits a homer, AND Astros win the game, AND win the series. Yep, good Sunday
¡Qué gracioso y chistoso Cody Bellinger! Me hizo reir a carcajadas. 😂😂😂
Yankees lose! Yankees lose! Yankees lose!
Jose needs to bu an ad in the paper asking everyone at Yankee Stadium to boo him in unison
Umpire, yesterday was squeezing Valdez, big time
7:50 ??????
This last month will be fire
Bellingers throw? That's terrible.
If Bellinger's bloopy attempt at a throw is made into a poster; it will sell millions
Noooooo!! I wanted a disaster to wipe out Aaron Boner and Joe Mama Esnada today! Oh well, maybe for the next series! Rangersforever❤
Two free runs on a bad strike call…..nothing like an ump with an, uh, thing against a team
I wanted to use another term but YT may have been upset……
Yankees are in bad shape
when are the yankees going to learn to stop throwing high fastballs to altuve?!🤣🤣
