Minnesota Vikings Training Camp Winners & Losers This Week | Who’s Rising, Who’s Falling

All right, welcome back to the One Bar and Lepagus show. I’m One Bar with Lupagus. We’re going to be talking about the top winner and loser of the week practice. Are we going to include the preseason game? You’re damn right we are. Why would we not? It’s the same week and it had huge implications on this Vikings roster. I love it. You know, it’s a lot of money. When we hit 15,000 subs, we’re going to be giving a doing a giveaway. Joey Browner signed jersey, but let’s get into this. Winners and losers of the week. Let’s uh end on a good note. We always start negative. Who is your loser of the week? Uh yeah, this one might be a little controversial. It might hurt, but uh Rondale Moore season’s over and maybe his career. So, um it’s not nice to call him a loser, but he lost this week cuz his season with the Wings is over. His comeback is over. very heartbreaking. Like, I feel for him. I feel super bad. I hate putting him on this list, but he’s not playing this year. He’s done. He’s He’s out. And who knows if he’s ever going to play again. Uh it’s hard. Could you imagine going through that rehab just to have it happen your first preseason game? He was absolutely dejected and I am too for having to put him on this list. Yeah. I mean, that’s really rude. Uh I mean to make him a loser on a freak injury back to back. Uh I’m assuming he probably also thought that poor guy in Stand by Me who got hit by the train was a loser. Oh, he What was his name? What was his character’s name? Ray. I had it. Ray. Uh, stand by me. Damn it. Uh, comments hot and heavy. What was his name? They can Google it. My loser is I’m I’m not even get fancy on this one. Uh, Jordan Addison. He came out this week. We knew it was coming, but it just solidifies it. Three-game suspension. I’m sorry. The dude is having a fantastic camp. He had a great preseason game. He is so important in this team and offense, but when you get suspended, uh, you are a loser. And damn it, Addison, so good. But he’s my loser. Let’s go to W. What was his name? Ray. Oh, I almost had it. I almost had his Ray something. Uh, let’s go to the winners of the week. Who we got? I’m actually go with the guy who was uh getting a lot of flack the first couple weeks of preseason. Uh, a lot of people jumping off his bad wing to the point where even talking about maybe Vikings trade for his position. and he was much maligned, much again, a lot of hate and negativity, but he silenced a lot of critics this week. Great week of practice. I was there Thursday. The dude looked sharp. I’m talking about the Hower. Sam Howell came out, bowled his ass off against the Texans, like 11 for 13. Great quarterback rating. Uh he like thrust it in for a touchdown. He couldn’t really call it a run. He pretty much just put his Gentellia forward, but he got the touchdown. He scored. He asked a lot of questions. Like I’m fine with him if he keeps this up being our backup quarterback. Yeah, he uh Sam How I’ve not been on the Howell train. I mean, he’s had some horrific practices, but like Ray Brower, Ray Brower, Ray freaking Brower. Uh how you get hit by a train, do not hear it coming. Um that’s on him. Mitchell, Sam Howell, uh you know, he’s not had some good practices, but we all, like I’ve been saying, it all comes down to what he does in the games and what he does in the game. And he stepped up. He’s like 11 for 13. Got that touchdown, played very, very well. So Sam Howell, cheers to you, sir. I’m malign. Can you spell that and give the definition? Definition because I’ve never heard that word in my life. Maligned. M a l i g nee d. Uh sense of uh dismay or disparity. I’m going to go with my definition. I’m going to believe you. That sounded very confident. I don’t know that the d in that thing doesn’t sound right. Uh seeing you soon if you don’t keep winner yourself. Winner Ray Brower. The winner for me is Will Riker. Will Riker was having some tough goes at it in practice. And like Sam Howell, I said, it comes down to what he does in the game. And so the Monday night scrimmage, the guy was nuts on uh had a perfect night. Preseason game one. What’s he do? Same thing. I think he was two for two field goals, extra points. Uh and and I think his longest was about 48. And the best part was they were right down the gut. So world record, we needed that. Uh I have no concerns about world record. Everything else was overblown. Well, you can miss a field goal on your first one in practice tomorrow. It doesn’t matter. Uh you were the guy and you were you were spot on. You got the one bar seal of approval. Yeah, they were dead center. Like they weren’t sneaking in left or right. They were just boom. There’s no question what any of those kicks.
