Saturday Night Shutout | Cameron in Command vs. Twins
Bailey Ober, which Bailey over tonight, Jeremy Guthrie, the Bailey over the Royals shot two years ago or the one they’ve seen so far this year. It’s been a tale of two stories for Bailey. The past two seasons has really righted the ship against the Royals has done it with a good fastball. You see 6 ft nine one chopped over the mound and from the shortstop side plays made by Bobby Jor 12 for 25. That’s a 480 average against Sunshine late break for Mart-n and he will see it and grab it and Jord and there are two down and there are two outs for that line drive, a little stare back to Patino and a bearded nightmare comes off that shaded mound and now lefty Noah Cameron takes the mound his 16th start of the season. He enters with a 268 A and here’s Austin Mart-n, right center field at a base. Look at swing there from austin Mart-n and twins have their leadoff hitter on Ryan Jeffers 10 game hitting streak changeup on three and two. So no advance with the runner at second base and one down. Luke Khaw now on a 10 game on base streak but nine straight with a hit back to the middle. And speaking of Lofton, the Royals had him right up the middle. So the twins are to grab an early lead. It will be up to Royce Lewis to do some two out and Cameron strikes him out. So he struck out two in the inning, both with his changeup and Clemons is out one away that brings up Carson mccusker, the Twins tonight one to right shallow near the line that’s going to land fair inside the line as his second big league hit and mccusker goes up to second with two down, mickey Gaspar for his last 10 1 for his last 17 and he does walk Gasper road back to back multi hit games struck him out. So it’s the third strikeout for Noah Cameron. They’ve all come with runners in scoring position, twin stream two quick outs. Now the number nine hitter, Red hot kyle is be in a six game hit streak. He brings into this one that’s going into shallow left center field. So all those line outs in the Royals first hit is a bloop single for is be who was hit in seven straight games grounded his second, his first time up. He has one hit in the series. Garcia did not miss that one and he’s going to send it to the wall in right center field and with two outs, the Royals get a single and a double and lead one nothing. So the two out hit turns into a run here in the third inning and mike has just been on everything. We’ve seen him hit to all fields and be effective wherever he puts it, it seems. And in that case, it goes to the gap in right center all the way to the fence for mike, by the way, that’s his 30th double on the year and his 51st RB I, he’s at second with two down for Bobby short with, with speed Lee. Better be perfect and he was and the Royals settle for one and it’s Austin Mart-n who singled and a swing and a little looper in the left center that’s going to drop for a hit. Mart-n is two for two on this Saturday night, a soft single and he’s on to start this third inning to bring up ryan Jeffers and this one flipped to right and a base hit for Ryan Jeffers and Mart-n will advance to second base. So Jeffers now an 11 game hitting streak and the twins have two on with nobody out and here comes rookie luke, here’s the ground ball. The Royals will get an out at second and the twins have runners at 1st and 3rd with one out and the batter will be Royce Lewis and there’s a ground ball out to junior out at second inning ending double play. You know, Cameron gets just what he needed right there. A 643 double play to get out of the gym and keep the Royals in front. First walk issued by over tonight and kyle is, is coming up, kyle is be gets another base hit. So after Lofton’s walk, the Royals have two on with one out in the top of the order coming up for Michael Garcia drove in the Royals run in the third innings short a chance to get two key Shaw’s return in time, double play, hard hit 103 off the bat but a hop to brooks Lee and the twins turn a 643 inning ending double play. Now, Roden gets hit by a pitch. Ryan Jeffers one for two. Now, an 11 game hitting streak for the twins catcher career high is, and this one dumped into center field is rodent thinking 1st and 3rd. No, there was, there was a slight hesitation. He was not 100% and I think that’s probably why he was kind of reading it as he was going. But with how far off the base he got that ball was caught. He would have been dead. That brings up. Luke Khaw told you is hotter than hot in the air to right field. Make the play on the edge of the track two down and Roden goes to third so easy to play. The what if game, what if he went first to third and the twins have a runner at third base and it’s up to Royce Lewis jammed him, started back, but now comes in and makes the play once again. Noah Cameron Wriggles out of danger. He strands a pair in the bottom of the fifth inning and is now stranded seven a foul tip strikeout. That’s number four on the night for Bailey over as he gets Bobby Wood Junior and that will bring up Vinny Pasin who’s lined out to the pitcher grounded to second base tonight. Shallow Lewis going out Roden racing in Roden will slide and makes the play a great recovery. Lewis in an odd spot there kind of short shortstop. This is part of what they liked , part of his profile. They like, they believe he has a chance to be above the average corner outfielder Cameron is back out for the bottom of the sixth. He may be on to phase one batter. We’ll see Clemens lines it to right field and right at Usrey who lost his footing but made the catch another diving gold glove catch by an outfielder today. Maybe a drop step back to make sure it doesn’t go over your head and suddenly he looks up so it almost appears that maybe the sun played tricks on him on that one a little bit or something up in the air. So a two out knock first hit for Lee and it does look like he’s signaling for a left hander to come out of the bullpen. So that’s going to be at Cameron’s Mickey Gasper will bat for himself has left the on. Serper comes in and the pitch and a fastball called strike three. Got him looking at 98 and Serpa finishes the job. Ryan Jeffers another three hit game he’s on now for the young phenom. Luke Shaw who is zero for three tonight line through the left side for a base hit. Jeffers moves to second. Khaw extends his career opening hitting streak to consecutive games and the twins again have a runner in scoring position and this is the spot that Royce Lewis has been in all night long and for the fourth time tonight , he makes the final out of the inning and Minnesota is zero for 10 with a runner in scoring position zero for four night for Salvador Perez. That brings up adam Frazier who is pinch hitting for Tyler Tolbert and that’s lined to left field. Frazier is on with one out, have a little action here in the ninth and here’s Jass who is bad luck zero for three tonight. He is running and that is ball four and the Royals have two on with one out. And wouldn’t this be a time for the game’s first hit with a runner in scoring position? And India lines it into left field for a hit. Frazier is going to be we home roden and the throw is off line and Jonathan India gets another big hit from the number seven spot in the lineup and the Royals lead 20. That’s a huge hit for the Royals big insurance run. Waits for his pitch in the middle finally gets one after a couple of pitches away. You see Jonathan India continues to step up the accountable and get the big hit right here. So knock in the ninth and so now carlos needs only one more out. Austin Mart-n steps to the plate and that is a called third strike and the Royals come away with a 20 Saturday shutout win at target field. And after giving up nine runs on 14 hits last night tonight, the Royals give up no runs on eight hits.
Noah Cameron tossed 5.2 scoreless innings and set the tone for the evening as the Royals evened the series vs. the Twins!

W royals keep it going
Boy – I hate to think about where we'd be without Cameron.
Cam the man, ROTY
あとは監督が休養すれば完璧。
Holy crap, the lack of hustle off connecting with a pitch is embarrassing. My little league team has more hustle to first than the Royals do.
Royals ⚾🧢💙 thanks for giving Garcia his flowers. He earns them on the daily. Noah is a dream.
Let's be real. The Royals aren't winning a world series this year. They'll be lucky to even make the playoffs. BUT.. the future looks very bright. Cameron, Ragans, Bubic and Lugo should be the best rotation in baseball next year. They'll still have a top 10 bullpen. And I'm sure(at least I hope), they'll sign an outfielder in the off-season. Not to mention the young core of Garcia, Witt Jr., Caglianone, Pasquantino and Carter Jensen. Literally the only thing they're missing is a power hitter who can get on base and play the outfield.
Way to go Royals all of your fans back in Kansas City are very proud of you guys last night and hopefully you guys saved some of it for another win for tomorrow afternoon’s game against the stinking Twins so GO,Fight,Win!!! Be Royal!!! Forever Royal!!! Always Royal!!!👍🤷♂️🤪😃😎😀😃😁☺️🙃⚾️🥎👍
Getting only one run on an absolute BUM like Ober is actually embarassing.
Great job Cameron though.
