I have mixed feelings, but probably more on the it was a good move. He’s a huge part of the franchise obviously. Like my issue with him was he is so good at what he does. He’s like an ovetkin. He stands that spot and he rips it hammers one time. I feel like everywhere else he was just kind of slacking like he’d go in the corners of the boards. It reminded me a lot of like Lavier when he was kind of toward the end of his career. Sure. Sure. Great with the puck but off the puck just not really doing much for four to five. I could see that working out. But when I think they were talking seven to eight. I know, dude. Crazy. It was just like it’s going to be a rebuild eventually anyway. So like let’s get the pieces moving now. So I think it was the right move. It was a bummer. Obviously I know there’s a lot of people that are like, “Oh, we screwed him over and stuff like that.” But I think for what he was contributing, which sounds bad cuz he had a great year the year before, right? Crazy. Fantastic. Scored 40 goals. Yeah. But what he was contributing to me on the ice as a full as a full like a full ice it wasn’t it didn’t match up and it was kind of like I think it was going to probably start leaning pretty quickly down which natural is a different structure different team you can kind of see what’s happened. I can’t say it’s not it’s not part for the course, but I was bummed, but I was also like this is the right move for the franchise.
