Sweepstakes giant B-Two Operations, which operates popular social casinos like McLuck, has re-entered the market in Georgia and Alabama. The changes were reflected in the August 7th update of the terms and conditions for McLuck.
Why Alabama and Georgia were previously excluded states
Alabama was previously listed as an excluded location because there were several active lawsuits against sweepstakes operators like VGW (Chumba Casino), Stake.us, and Blazesoft Limited (Fortune Coins, Sportzino) within the state.
Georgia also had a lawsuit against VGW back in 2024, but the case was later dismissed. Similarly, Zula Casino had previously removed itself from Georgia, but once its parent company VGW, won its lawsuit, they were once again operational.
With lawsuits against sweepstakes casinos in these states, B-Two Operations previously did not want to take on this risk by setting up shop in these locations. Now that McLuck is now available again, that appears to have changed.
Encouraging news for sweepstakes casinos
McLuck’s return to Alabama and Georgia comes after sweepstakes operators have been heavily scrutinized across the country. There are approximately 50+ lawsuits against sweeps sites nationwide, with states like Montana and
Connecticut having banned sweepstakes casinos.
With McLuck removing two excluded states, it represents some positive news for sweepstakes casinos after several months of lawsuits, legal motions, and even bans on these operators.
Several other sweepstakes casinos are still restricted in both states. In Alabama, this includes Spree, Thrillzz, Vegas Coins, Pulse Casino, and others, totaling 11 platforms. Meanwhile in Georgia, this list includes social casinos like Spree, Sportzino, and Carnival Citi, amongst five others.
Given that McLuck is considered to be one of the most popular sweepstakes casinos in the industry, it may offer great appeal to casino players in Georgia and Alabama.
