Mariners fans are desperate at this point

  1. And we have some excellent players potentially returning from injury… so I think they kind of missed the boat with that remark

  2. Today, I learned that getting Correa back was putting all our chips on him carrying us.

Correa never “carried” us he was big part of a good nucleus

  3. Don’t we do this every year? The Mariners go on a hot streak, we flounder a little, they get incredibly cocky, and fade down the stretch.

Not to say they won’t catch us this year, but my God you would think they dominated playoff teams. They went 9-1 against the Rangers, Rays, and White Sox, all in Seattle. Won the games they were supposed to for sure, but call me when they beat the Phillies in Philly

  4. TBH, good on them for liking their team. It would be sad if Seattle fans started rooting for the Astros this early in the season.

  5. Yk what sucks is that I actually like the Mariners team for awhile now, and their rotation is one of my favs in the league..But their fanbase is so insufferable LMAO. I understand the hype they have right now because of their win streak and being a half game back, but stop being such sore winners until you have the damn division banner lol

  6. I was looking at the schedule and e are going into a more favorable stretch after the Bosox series fyi.

  7. Dumb discussion all around. I’m a Mariners fan and would never say the Astros put all their chips on Correa. But a fan of any team would be excited about what the Mariners added regardless of what they gave up (which wasn’t a top prospect). And by the way, most Mariner fans are not cocky – we haven’t won shit.

  8. It feels more like we filled some glaring gaps in the offense with our injuries, and put most of our chips on the gamble that our pitchers come back/stay healthy and perform well.

  9. The Mariners definitely got better. If you’re a True Fan why wouldn’t you get hyped?

I’m pretty hyped about Correa and Sanchez and the long list of players coming off the IL.

  10. We added a great lefty bat in Sanchez, an excellent utility player to shore up our depth in Urias, and an elite infield defender with a proven but recently cold bat who is also a franchise legend in Correa. To do this we gave up Gusto and a bunch of nobodies. Dana did a great job and I am not at all scared of the Mariners. They’ll crumble like they always do.

  11. You can’t “dominate the deadline” *at* the deadline. You have to wait and see. The M’s are on a heater, and we pulled up a tiny bit lately, but there’s still a month and a half in the season
