No one is giving Cam $40m in the current CBA, it just wouldn’t make sense unless you believed he was going to become a superstar imminently

    Dennis Schroeder once turned down a 4 year 84 million dollar deal, only to sign a one year 5.9 million deal afterwards

    Nerlens Noel turned down a 4 year 70 million dollar deal, signed the qualifying offer, and then signed for a minimum contract after that

  28. If he’s just going to take the QO, why not just renounce his rights and let him sign elsewhere? Seems like lose-lose for everyone involved. I’d hate to see him walk but would hate even more watching him play on a low prove-it deal with full autonomy to walk next season when the FO clearly doesn’t plan to have him here long term.

I will point out to cam Thomas that Collin Sexton who is the exact same player as cam is only making 18 million dollars a year while being more efficient. Then I will tell Cam Thomas another player that is similar to him norm Powell is only making 19 million a year. Then I would tell him and this would be the last thing I say to him and his agent, coby White who I think is a better player than cam Thomas is only making 12 million dollars a year.
