  1. It’s too bad De Los santos would’ve been the 6th Astro to record a save this season but I’ll take it!

JP3 you owe that man free taqueria arandas for life!

  2. Some of y’all need to learn that our best bullpen arms can’t pitch everyday. They’re on pitch counts just like our starters are. Imagine whining because Espada isn’t going to start Framber tomorrow, it’s the same concept.

Sometimes the scrubs in the bullpen have to eat innings, that’s just the way it is.

  3. Thank you to a solid returning Javier, Chas and Urias for some unexpected extra firepower to give us *just* enough room to escape a catastrophe.

    **UNCLENCH.**

  4. Helluva way for Neris to celebrate his 10 years of service time.

Still, we had none of our high leverage bullpen available, and we still managed to eke out a W. I’ll take it.

  5. Aaaaannndddd unclench

Honestly huge win considering Javier’s first start and facing Crochet, and did what we needed to do with a shorthanded bullpen and got our leverage guys some rest

  6. Calculated move by Espada, save your leverage guys for the next two days to secure a series win

What a rollercoaster of a game. Seeing Javier give up an early lead just for the offense to light it up and then for Neris and Okert to let it get close.

Great outing by Santos and Sousa

  7. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna die 1 year before I was supposed to before I watched this game.

  8. The Red Sox are firmly in that category of ‘stay the fuck away from me in the playoffs’ because FUCK do they know how to play us way too fucking well

But man am I happy to see my favorite of our starting pitchers back. I love El Reptil

  9. Javier looked good. Pulled the string on his off speed stuff today and had a few guys looking foolish.

  10. For my mental health I basically decided to avoid watching games live and maybe check Gameday from time to time, until tonight.

Think I’m gonna go crawl back to my hole

  11. High risk, but high reward by not using Abreu or Hader to hold on to a 1 run win. I can watch replays of the Bregman and Toro home runs without being disgusted now.

  12. Entertaining, but tense game tonight. But the night still ends in a win and we now have a game lead over the Mainers

CJ started shaky but ended in pure Reptil fashion. Chas brought us the meatloaf. Doobie bringing all the anger. Espada making some interesting choices that paid off in the end. A great team win. With Correa’s first night back home, we had to win tonight and we did.

And that’s why you shouldn’t give up on a game after the first inning.
