Anthony Edwards’ ex Ayesha Howard allegedly demanded $500,000 and a public apology from the NBA star in their court battle, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

Edwards, 24, claimed in court documents filed on Wednesday, August 6 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard claimed Howard, 38, has failed to execute paperwork granting her sole legal and physical custody of their daughter Aubri, born in October 2024.

The court awarded Howard sole custody and told the parties to put it all in an agreement on May 20.

Edwards and Howard have been unable to do so. Howard claimed Edwards’ team sent her an agreement that added a provision that would prevent her from disparaging the basketball player publicly. The deal also said she could not post photos of their daughter. She claimed she never agreed to those terms.

In the new motion, Edwards’ team said they eventually removed the provision but now Howard demanded additional items.

The NBA All-Star said his ex demanded a public apology from him that was required to be posted “on all of his official social media platforms, publicly retracting all false and defamatory or misleading statements made about her during” the court battle and “affirming her integrity and her role as a mother of their daughter.”

Edwards claimed his ex also demanded an “exorbitant” $500,000 in damages. The Georgia native’s team said Howard has refused to sign the paperwork without her demands.

In the motion, Edwards said he continues to rack up legal bills having to defend himself in court.

Howard tells Us, “I want to make it clear that my request for compensation was never tied to agreeing to any custody orders. I asked for compensation due to the substantial financial and reputational damages I’ve endured during this prolonged litigation with Anthony Edwards.”

As Us previously reported, after the birth of their daughter, the Edwards filed a paternity suit in Georgia and Howard filed a separate case in California. The exes went back and forth about where the case should be heard. Edwards claimed Howard only filed in Los Angeles in hopes of scoring a higher child support award.

In March 2025, a California judge sided with Edwards and determined that child support would not be set in California despite Howard’s plea. Howard has appealed the decision.

  1. These pro athletes never learn do they? $1 condom vs potential $500k lawsuit, ffs.

  2. Some condom company really should make a clever ad using this situation as a selling point

  3. These two have gone back and forth for months, it would be hilarious if there wasn’t a kid involved

    >Howard claimed Edwards’ team sent her an agreement that added a provision that would prevent her from disparaging the basketball player publicly. The deal also said she could not post photos of their daughter.

Guy doesn’t want to even risk seeing his daughter in pictures

  4. > public apology on all his social media, $55k annually for life

    lol, wut?

    > I asked for compensation due to the substantial financial and reputational damages I’ve endured during this prolonged litigation with Anthony Edwards.”

    what reputation?

  5. Free agents ask a lot more this off season, that’s for sure.

    55K annually is like:

If she were to live 50 more years (Edwards will be 74), then she would collect an additional 2.75 million dollars up until then.

  6. $55k a year for life is crazy. She don’t give af about anything except getting that bag for life.

  7. 55k anually until the kid turns 18 makes sense somewhat. For life is crazy lol

  8. It’s hilarious that this is her stipulation *for* sole custody, like if Ant says no he has to see his daughter?

  9. Half a million and 55k a year? That seems like something he’d agree to pretty quick.

  10. I feel sad for the kid. A dad who doesn’t have any desire to be a father and an insta-thot mother who created her just for a lifestyle come-up.

  11. Does she understand she wasn’t married to this man lol.

She really believes she deserves permanent alimony

  12. Not that it matters, because Ant likely knows and just doesn’t care, but to me this is only further proof that the women he chooses are only after two things: money and clout. A public apology is wild. Girl is almost 40. As a woman, I find this behavior repulsive. The more women seek to have babies with men simply because they make money and are famous, the more it sets us back. Nobody is mature enough in the situation to think about the children they’re creating and how this will affect them.

  13. lmao would any judge even grant someone $55k a year for LIFE (not until the kid is 18)? its not like they were married

  14. I was with most of the concessions until I saw 55k annually that’s insane

  15. kanye is questionable nowadays but these guys need to listen to Gold digger and just use it as a gospel

  16. 55k annually for life? Don’t most child support agreements end at 18?
Is this even possible? Also Ant fucking wrap it up dude, God damn

  17. Ant needs to wear a condom, gold diggers are gonna gold digger. And truth be told you’re never gonna win in the court of public opinion against a mother, even if she’s blatantly gold digging.

Everybody who knows Ant knows what he’s about regarding children outside of from his actual girl. The “send da video” guy makes it abundantly clear he doesn’t want these children to exist. Zero sympathy for this woman for making the selfish decision of lying down with a guy who doesn’t want kids, yet still having the baby exclusively because she wants a pay check for herself.

Ant is also…. a super fucking idiot. I don’t expect everyone to pull a Paul George, but folks gotta take responsibility for preemptively traumatizing these kids. Definitely stupid behavior, if you wanna nut with no consequence then either get the snip or actually work out something in writing.

  18. Yeah she doesn’t want baby support, she wants money for herself. What a POS mommy
