San Diego Padres vs San Francisco Giants – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 11, 2025 MLB Season

And a grounder right to CS at second base. Fernando out number one. He has been on fire at the plate. Grounds this one right side at Smith who will take it himself to the bag for out number two. Shadow with two down here in the first inning. And that is strike three. And he gets the bad news from Gwen Walun. He thought he had ball four. Giants are coming up. Takes it the other way down the right field line. Tatis on the run to the corner. Will make the basket catch right at the fence. Nicely done by Fernando. Had to go a long way and he makes the grab. I didn’t think he was going to have a chance to get there, but he does. Double figures and wins with 10. Ground ball again down the first baseline. hits the bag and that will be a fair ball and a board. Bogart’s down on the count, one and two. A little check swing, ground ball to first. Smith will just wait for the arrival of Bogurts and the tag applied for route number two as Merrill will take second base. [Applause] Sheets was just 0 for one on the home stand as this one is grounded right side. CS to first for the out that ends the top of the second. An inning and a half done from San Fran without a score. There’s a liner into center field and a base hit make it a 14game hitting streak for Dominic Smith. Runner goes at first and a ground ball softly hit left side. In comes Machado. He’s going to have no play anywhere to be an infield hit for Lee. That might have been a hit and run. Not sure. on the ground. The short stop Adamus was right there. His throw in time for the first out of the third inning. Now a grounder left side. It is cut off by Chapman who spins and fires. What a play. Matt Chapman covering all kinds of ground and somehow got the throw there in time and accurately. That was special from Oh, the flamingo. He held it there for a long time. Little flare that will fall. His first major league hit sharply hit. Could be two. Diving didn’t get him. Nice bid though by Arise. Runner goes again and the pitch is high and tight. Throw is into center field. So Gilbert just picks himself up. Heads for third. Here comes the throw to third. He will be safe. Wow. We’ll see if they’re going to challenge this. It was close. Vado looking in the first. Here’s another ground ball. The short stop make it 10 ground outs in a row and a good pick at first base by Dominic Smith as Machado is retired six to three. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Paul Clemens first base umpire said he offered and Adam yelling in his direction. So that’s uh gives you a different look as well. Over is a rise into foul ground and he’ll make the catch and ends the inning. It’s a seven pitch inning through four was scoreless in San Francisco. Jackson Merrill leads it off here in the fifth inning. Grounder by the mound up the middle into center field. So another ground ball, but this one gets through and a good start to the fifth inning. He’s looking for a double play. Gavin Sheets trying to find a gap. Popped up into shallow right center and it’ll drop. Merrell will take second base just out of the reach of CS and Cronorth grounds one right side. First baseman Smith will go to second for one and that’s all they’ll get. They get the middleman and Gavin Sheets and a swing and a miss. Struck him out. Third strike out for U Darish. First out of the fifth inning. Three hits and three runs. And strike three gets him looking. A sinker. Back-to-back strikeouts for Darbish. Four and all. Two down. Swinging a miss. He struck him out. You know what that means. Oh, here we go. Phone a friend out to right center field headed for the gap. That’s going to get down off the bat of Fernando headed for two. Falling down was Gilbert. Fernando will pull it up around second and he’s got himself a double to begin the sixth inning. Line into right field. A base hit for Merrill from second base comes Tatis. Machado will be stopped at third. It’s an RBI double for Jackson Merrill. His third hit of the night puts the Padres’s on top one to nothing. on the ground by the mound to cost at second base. His throw is in time and the inning is over, but the Padres’s do get the game’s first run. It’s a one- nothing San Diego lead after five and a half. Did it again. Yep. Fly ball left center field. Struck pretty well. Merrill going back. That’s gone. This game is tied. Raphael Devers takes it the other way. His 23rd home run of the year ties the game at one to one. That was a sinker that he took out. This is the right approach. First of all, let’s go to the pitch. That’s not where he wanted it. He wanted it up and in. He wanted to try to tie him up. See the glove for mean? And then he goes down, has to go out and get it. He’s going to make that mistake, that pitching mistake, that error. Line to right and that’s going to end up in the corner. So an 02 pitch that sheets turns on, headed for second base. So the throw, it’ll be late and a double starts the inning on the ground right side. Base hit into right field. Johnson being waved around and the throw will be not in time. Padres’s take a two-1 lead. Jake Croner driving it in. Croner takes off and a fly ball to left field off the bat of Fine. It’ll be a home run to left field. That’s out of the yard down the left field line. Firm mean will touch them all. Fair ball and gone. Two-run shot. Padres’s take a 4-1 lead. This happened quickly. And there’s that mistake I was talking about. That’s a breaky ball that backs up. Doesn’t break. Wasn’t down and away. And yes, line to center field. A ringing single for Manny Machado here. and lifts the fly ball to short left. Bryce Johnson is there to make the catch for out number one. This one is off of Estrada and kicks to third. Machado stays with it. His throw will not be in time. He actually pulled a rise off the bag. Swinging a miss. And for the first time tonight, Merrill is retired this time by way of the K to second on to first. Double play. So that’ll end the inning as Johnson crowds in to the DP. That ends the inning. Web went the first six and a third. Swinging a miss and he goes chasing after a slider. CS out number one of the eighth. Swinging a miss and he struck him out a change up. Yeah, you’re right. You think about the gas when you think about Mason Miller and so far. Swinging a miss. You know what that means. Oh, here we go. Twice in one game is what it means. [Applause] Ah, the strike three gets him looking. Just kind of froze him. They’re out number one in the ninth inning. Fly ball to center field. Lee in a few steps [Applause] able to make the catch route number two way off pitch and it’s line to left field for Fernando Ramos headed all the way back to the wall. Fernando into second base who will pull it up with a two out double. Reaches out. It’s a one hopper to the shortstopus. His throw is in time and that will end the inning. It is closing time in San Francisco. On the ground right side, Croner slides to his left and throws to first route number one of the ninth inning. [Applause] [Music] Lines to center field. Jackson Merrill headed over to make the catch. Route number two. From right center to left center. Two down in the ninth. Fly ball left field incoming is Bryce Johnson. and he’ll make the catch and the Padres’s win. They take the first game of the road trip, first game of this series against the Giants as they win this one four to one. And a big night for Jackson Merrill.

  1. Hell yeah Pads!!!
Sorry to be old-school here but, is anybody else sick of BS like bottom 5 when Bailey strikes out looking on a pitch that’s in the zone THE WHOLE TIME yet he looks back at the ump like the call was garbage?!!
So sick of them getting away with that crap disrespecting the ump that!
Kids, and even worse, their parents, do the exact same thing because they see big leaguers doing it, TRULY sad💯

  2. This loss tonight by the SFGs can be pinned on one person… BoMel. He's becoming one of the worst managing MLB tacticians in Giants history. Webb barely got through the 6th inning. He wobbled through it and once Devers got them even, Webb's night should have been
done. But instead, Melvin let him start the 7th despite 90 shaky pitches when it was clear Webb was on fumes. So, instead of leaving with a no decision, he got an
"L"….Melvin didn't pull him…. unfortunately, the team had to endure another dumb effin no move by Melvin! The worst decision Buster made this season was extending Melvin's contract! This manager and his entire coaching staff should be shown the door!

  3. Padres trades at deadline are paying off. Watch out LA, Padres have now fortified their offense to go along with one of the best starting rotations, and, quite possibly the best bullpen in baseball.
GO PODS, time for a championship run!

  4. ついにドシヤースのしつぽに手が届く位置にきた⚾⚾去年も2ゲームまで来た! これで越した越せないかでシーズン決まりそう、、直接戦いも今月の有るしね!😊
