Pirates vs. Brewers Game Highlights (8/11/25) | MLB Highlights
It’s jose Quintana and freddie Peralta flip flop in the rotation. Quintana coming off a win his last time against Atlanta. His last two, last time out against Atlanta, as you mentioned, six innings, seven hits, three runs did not walk a batter. Seven punch outs making career start. Number 16 against the is currently 5 to 23, 23 earned run average did make a start last year as a member of the Mets against the Bucks 3 to 2 to peguero into left, sends Collins back and he’ll have to play for out number one. The hair off the end of the bat brings up Tommy to center back Lockridge and he makes the play two away, hit it on the button but right at Lockridge 32 pitch to reynolds and a swing and a miss. He got him with a curveball strikeout. Number one for Quintana. He works a 123 top half and he his 23rd start for a bounce back start here at American Family field had one earlier in the season. Bryce Tang appears a pitch hitter last night, drew a walk so that extends his hitting streak to seven games played appearance one nothing Brewers on a leadoff homer by to pick up right where they left off last two at bats for the Brewers home run. Isaac Collins yesterday with a walk off and now, Turang lefty versus lefty home run number 11 , deep drive into center field. I think he knew he got it. William Contreras, the Brewers catcher swing and a miss struck him out on that changeup. That’s the second out following the leadoff home run by Turang christian Jelic day off. Yesterday up the middle base hit for left handed hitters against the left hander extends the inning to Vaughn. That’s ball four sets the stage for caleb Durbin and hit another hit by pitch for caleb Durbin and the bases are loaded. That one came down and in nothing he could do to get out of the way. Bases are loaded for free. Sixth in the national league with a 291 average. Not so great with the bases loaded. He’s staying here pop up and it will peguero Heaney gives up the home run but the Brewers lead the bases loaded. They lead one to zero. Mart-n is hitting at 327 against lefties this season 240 overall with a home run to the right field corner a long way and Joey Bart has homered. It’s been a long time coming for the Pirates catcher opposite field, Joey Bart’s second home run of the season. His first since April the seventh. How nice it would be to get Joey Barnes swinging a hot bat one strike on Triolo and the pitch swinging a fly ball out to left center that will drop down for a base hit Triolo to take off for second base. He was that way all along and keeping his head up and looking out there and he hustles into second base runner unable to advance one away for the top of the order. And Leo Peguero into center field and another and Triola running hard, he was running third base like he was going to make it right. Mike roll, holding on to third base. Nice job getting back, watch his turn at third base here. He’s thinking about it. Infield comes in 1 to 2 and he got him big strikeout for Quintana ball inside more man to get and Tommy Pham lead the go ahead run at third base in the third and a fly ball to center Lockridge has a bead on it. Quintana gets and limits the damage to the one run. So now Jelic one out and he drills it in the air deep in the right center field. He’s admiring it as it goes back to the wall and it is gone a leap by Canario, but it’s out for a solo home run for Yelly Brewers back in front 2 to 1. Christian Jelic goes deep for the 22nd time this season. He knew he got it. Well, he’s going to want that one back. Here’s andrew Vaughn, groundball chopped up the middle, tough play. Second baseman Gonzale backhand long off balance throw. Not in time. It’s an infield single for andrew Vaughn with one out. He’s aboard bunted up the third base line. It’s a good one kind of for a barehanded pick and throw on the run. He got him. What a play. Second two out for free ground ball hit through the right side free in the right field around. Third comes, they get a shot. Reynolds throw to the plate off the glove of Bart who tried to reach out, catch it and slap a tag on up to second on the throw goes, he’s got an RB I single and the Brewers have a 3 to 1 lead in the third. Lockridge struck out his first time. So two runs home in the inning. The 02 pitch, Lockridge breaks his bat but bloops a single in the right field around. Third comes Frelick again, Reynolds has a chance throw to the plate up the line and Sal is safe. Brandon Lockridge with an RB I single to make it a three run. Third Brewers have a 4 to 1 lead. So he’s at first. Here’s Joey Ortiz 12 little blooper in the right field that’s got eyes. It’s falling in for a base hit. First of third goes, Lockridge throw from reynolds just lobbed into the second baseman on a single by Joey Ortiz. It just keeps coming Lockridge at third Ortiz first. There goes the runner for second pitches. They throw through to second base. It goes off the glove of the second baseman Gonzalez in from third on an error comes the fourth run of the inning. Lockridge and the Brewers have a 51 lead in the third. Joey Bart bounce the throw even tried to make a throw on Ortiz’s steal at second base and Bart gets the error. The Pirates are thinking when it rains, it pours runners on the corners for Vaughn base hit in the walk for Vaughn squares to bunt pushes it up the first base side era to the bag. Heaney will tag out Vaughn but he’ll drive in a run in the process. There you go. Big home run hitter drops down a bunt pushes it. He gets that baseball by Haney. Talk about a self play. Quintana out there for the sixth after a five pitch fifth inning slow roller. Quintana has got it and gets it to who puts that foot on the, to get pigue. A great sign here is Quintana was going over to get that bending over, maybe something with the leg. He winced ever so slightly. Brad Epstein, the head athletic trainer, making sure he’s ok. Going full speed bending over, he’s going to stay in the ball game to center field again, Lockridge back at the wall and he makes the catch got hung up in the notch out there, still able to bring it in and get another out on Tommy Pham. I tell you Jose Quintana using every inch of American Family field. That one right up against the wall. Quintana barking at Tommy Pham got to assume it was Pham that was barking out at him from the dugout double for reynolds with two outs and he’s aboard in front of nick Gonzalez. Gonzalez, a squier Quintana drop the baseball but Vaughn is there , touches the bag and out on the play is Gonzalez talking about not giving up on the play well done. Andrew Isaac Collins will lead off the bottom of the sixth inning ground ball to first hits under the glove and into the right field corner. Collins, he’s at second, not stopping on his way to third gets by and Collins is going to be fine standing at third. It is a triple for Collins infielder is up for Contreras and a base hit 71 on a knock by Contreras gets on top of it and hits a bullet in the right about that. Shelby Miller takes over on the mound for the crew. A 7 to 1. Brewers lead Miller making his second appearance with the crew, his 39th overall. He has a 193, a and out away from 1/10 straight victory. Gonzalez ground ball Miller off the mound. Bare hand pickup for the Brewers. What a what a run these guys are good for them doing everything, right. All things golden for the Brewers.

I remember the Brewers dropped a game by a run in the Spring of 1987.
I'm about ready to buy an Isaac Collins jersey!
In the bottom of the 3rd inning, when the Brewers had consecutive hits, No. 20 hit a single and No. 10 sprinted from second base to score. However, the broadcast showed No. 28 crossing home plate instead. Was this a replay of the previous run or a broadcast mix-up?
How good are the Brewers? If they go 22 and 22 the last 44 games of the regular season they will tie their all time win record of 96 wins in a season. At the rate they're playing right now, they will have well over 100 wins which has never happened before in Milwaukee. Almost as if the top brass in the MLB wants the lowest budget team to win the world series so people can't say that the Dodgers are buying the world series every year and we need a salary cap for teams. If the Brewers win, that will in turn assure the Dodgers of at least 10 more years straight of winning the world series after this year.
Pat Murphy is a coach that will look you in the eye and tell you what you're doing wrong including telling the media what the team or he is doing wrong! The Brewers old coach Craig councell looks lost in post game interviews! He never looks anybody in the eye!
YOU DON’T MESS WITH THE BREW CREW, YOU MESS WITH THEM, YOU WILL GET ROCKED!🍺🍻😀
Brewers are unstoppable right now OK I know it the Pirates but still if the Brewers can fix their playoff mistakes their winning it all too.
🍻
Calling a Brewers vs Mariners World Series
There’s nothing more depressing than being a Pirates fan
Can't wait for the brewers to lose first round….again. seriously, stop trying if you're going to fail in the playoffs
God I hope we don’t go cold in the playoffs 😭😭
Love Pittsburgh, but an absolute clown show from them.
I’m a Bucs fan so this is strange… brewers fans… I’m rooting hard for you guys to win it all. You’re a great fan base with a great team. I know we are division rivals, but I can’t help but root for you. I hope we beat you this series somehow, but I hope you go all the way. Good luck. 🎉
And another W
GO BREWERS!!!
The Pirate clown car has come to town. The only thing they forgot was their makeup.
Great win and the Brewers can't be stopped right now,#BrewCrew #GoBrewers
My great grandma was a Braves fan since she was little, and a brewers fan since literal day 1 of the franchise. She’s starting to slowly decline, if there was ever a time to cash in a championship, now would be an awesome time. She deserves to see her team win one before she goes. Turning 100 in September.
