  1. I think it’s better to end your career this way then being a random bench player. Especially if it’s not on a contender

  2. His team won 4-1 in the Finals series.

I looked for more details, and it seems Javale McGee is playing there as well, off the bench (he did well)

[Here are the games they played this season](https://basketball.latinbasket.com/team/Vaqueros-de-Bayamon/1677/Games), including the playoffs (the last one on the list is the current one, stats isn’t available yet there)

I saw McGee signed with a team from Australia (Illawarra Hawks).

Chris Duarte (played for the Pacers in case you forgot) was also there, but he left in July if I saw correctly (signed with Unicaja Málaga from Spain)

Edit: Renaldo Balkman also took part.

  3. I can’t for the life of me find his salary now but the salary cap on the Puerto Rico league is 1.5m so he’s probably making a little bit less than that.

Fun fact: he is the highest paid Italian athlete ever

  4. Gallo was my fav player on the nuggets. Such a shame he had those bad injuries. Was hoping he become an all star

  5. I watched the Vaqueros throughout their playoff run. They play fun basketball and have a great fanbase. It’s cool that Gallo has suited up for my two favorite teams(Thunder and Vaqueros).

With the limited number of roster spots available in the NBA, more NBA talent will surely come down to Puerto Rico. It makes a lot of sense for guys who can’t make it in the NBA and want to keep playing basketball while staying close to home. Don’t be surprised if more vets similar to Cousins and Gallinari end up there.

  6. Yall should check the PR league. A lot of NBA players end up there. All the big Latin artist own teams down there and usually hook it up for the starts that want to live up in the island. Remember they don’t pay federal taxes in PR so they make most of their money

  7. Cool to see him still playing after all the injuries throughout his career. When he was at his best he was really fun to watch. Congrats Gallo!
