[Music] What’s going on, Jerome homies? Beautiful Tuesday. Birds are chirping and stuff and it’s time for another Vikings news dump. So, Monday, Monday, Monday. Um, you know, in shells. I had the shoulder pads on. Uh, shorts. Well, people didn’t get get our joke about Darasaw and the shoulder pads, but it’s okay. It’s all right. Uh, but another another day of work, another day better. uh day off tomorrow, then joint practices with the Patriots. Then preseason game number two at home, US Bank Stadium uh against the New England Patriots as well. And it’ll be good time like this will be the crux of training camp uh this entire week because you know third week of training camp is always sort of you know what whatever but stacking up good days. Love to see that. Also love to see Justin Jefferson, who not only was out there without a sleeve on that hamstring, uh, participated in warm-ups, participated in the walkthrough portion of practice, dropping bombs to equip equipment guy Terrell. I mean, he’s the most famous equipment guy in the league. I mean, come on. Who’s got it better than us? Nobody. Uh, speaking of better, get yourself better. Uh, get some purple for the win gear. Where those uh assault bikes are kind of tough, man. And also O’Neal, that’s a good look for him. Like honestly, once O’Neal hangs him up, he should pledge Sam Crow riding through this world. And I I I know that a a lot of people have banded about the idea of the Sons of Anarchy nickname for Jefferson, Hockinson, Addison, except I feel like it takes too much explaining, you know? So, I don’t know. It was uh I know that Happy was a great sergeant-at-arms for Sam Crow, but I mean, who’s gonna f a Brian O’Neal, man? Come on. Right. Also, uh, play of the day yesterday, it was Max Bromer, Bromer, whatever. Uh, dropping bombs over Baghdad. Kevin Seafford, ESPN, who is not Corbett. Uh, many people at Vikings camp are excited by Max Bromer’s perfect placement of a 40-yard touchdown pass to who? Tim Jones with Isaiah Rogers in coverage. It was against a first team defense, which is pretty damn impressive. Everything was in sync. Everything was good to go. Uh great uh great route and great catch by Tim Jones bring it in again if you squint really hard which is easy for me. You kind of see the the the Minneapolis Miracle. Is that Case Keenum out there? Is that Stefan? Hey, we’ll see Diggs this week. It’s going to be fun. Also, we see Garrett Bradberry this week. Come on. Come on, man. Also, he was great, too. Vikes fan page. Vikings DB Khif Hassi raise hail and praise Dale on his two interception game. I knew this is coming. I mean shoot before this I had no interviews. I told myself after this game I’m going to have all the interviews. That’s that’s a great line. That’s a great line man. And Halassi has been looking good. I mean he’s been getting some run uh with the first and second team defense as well as has cornerback and safety flexibility. Good special teamamer. John, you could say like, well, I mean, he he I mean, the ball just sort of came to him. Well, there is a skill set to being around the ball and being about the ball. That’s exactly what this defense is about, man. So, uh excited that he gets uh two more preseason games to really uh really solidify his spot. I hope that he does. Really good guy. Really easy uh guy to root for uh in training camp. Also, Vikings have a new guy in training camp. Uh the Vikings have claimed guard Michael Gonzalez uh via waiverss and have placed uh tackle Matt Nelson on IR. Nelson popped a bicep uh last week uh at the night practice, finally putting him on IR. And Gonzalez was a 2025 UD FA out of Louisville originally with the originally with the Falcons. Uh 51 career starts for the Cardinals, you know, 6’4 291. So, you know, we’ll see. It’s a little late in the game. Uh but maybe he shows a little something some summon that either maybe practice squad uh or also just keeping a player in the rolodex is important. And you’ll see this too where you know last week of preseason there will be some roster shuffling where you got one preseason game left, a couple of practices and you’re like how why I mean it’s tough to make a decision uh that that late but also it’s about getting just a couple of good reps in. Maybe you don’t make obviously don’t make the 53. Maybe you don’t make the practice squad, but in season teams generally have a rotation on the practice squad. Uh where they’ll let a player go, they’ll bring one in, they’ll let another player go, bring another one in where it they’re always cycling through. And sometimes players don’t even clean out their uh their their lockers, uh even though they’re out of contract on the practice because there’s a wink nudge agreement that the player is going to be back next week. All right. So, uh, this is important because, you know, Gonzo, you could say, well, he’s got two weeks left. What’s he going to do? Could do a lot. Never know, right? Also, speaking of what we do know is Jordan, I’m fired up about Jordan Mason, man. So, all this talk about, yeah, JJ had a decent drive or uh Sam How looked good, Lucky Jackson looked good, uh Xavier Scott, our guy, looked good, Max Brosman looked good, but Jordan Mason, you can just tell like and also through training camp practices, whether it’s padded, whether it’s a walkthrough, whether they’re in shells, there’s just something different like there’s an aggressiveness and purpose that Jordan Mason runs with. plus uh he’s very adept at outside zone where you know a lot of solidly built running backs and about that cutback life but he’s decisive puts his foot in the ground has a ton of experience with outside zone uh going back to college going back to San Francisco and I think he’s going to be a lot of fun he he had some tough carries uh against the Texans and we’re just it’s the tip of the iceberg plus he was in there on pass a couple of snaps and as Kevin McCull had talked about He’s a three down back. He just didn’t get three down opportunities in San Francisco, which is kind of interesting. But overall, I think that this is going to be a hell of a trade. And Ma Mason, I feel like he’s definitely going to push the issue with a Aon Jones where I love Jones, but another year older and you durability has always been an issue with Jones throughout his career. And Mason is going to be the hammer, right? Uh, so Kevin McConnell hasn’t experienced this yet, but when you can consistently run the rock with this revamped offensive line, Josh Oliver, CJ Ham, JJ McCarthy, who’s fantastic at play action, so defenses have to respect it. Just being able to pound the freaking football whenever you want to, it’s a little addicting, especially late in the season. weather gets chilly and into the playoffs. You got to be able to run the ball. You gotta be able to run the ball forcefully and Jordan Mason is gonna be a huge part of that. It’s gonna be great. Also, I know by the time you watch this, news may have broken one way or the other, but Rond Del Moore had a scary looking knee injury uh in the preseason game against the Texans, but is he done done? Yeah. Uh, so Rond Del Moore on Instagram uh posted a picture of him walking into the sta stadium before the game on Saturday. Caption blessed. So it’s one of those what does it mean? Right. So could it he it mean blessed that he escaped major injury? Could it be blessed that he has another opportunity to come back from an injury? Don’t know. Don’t know, man. But uh wish nothing but positivity for Rond Del Moore. And if it’s a if it’s small injury and come back from that’s great. Uh if if not, it’s another major one. Just uh another hurdle, but he’ll get to the finish line. Don’t worry. Yeah, root for Ronda Moore. That’s right, man. Also, this is good. All right, so Stephanie Ham, uh wife of the great CJ Ham, uh posted this uh on social media. Running back game night. See, running back, significant others getting together, playing some Uno, bonding and stuff. And you’ve seen this with position groups. You’ve seen this with the defense getting together. like a bowling like they they’ll go over to was it Hawinson’s? No, Greenway’s house because we we had wondered that because it had a basketball court that had a Hawkeye logo. It’s like Hawinson, huh? No, it’s Jack Green. But uh the Uno Uno is a game where there’s some hurt feelings, you know, where it’s like life is good, good, good, good, good. I got Uno and then all of a sudden you get hit with a draw for wild. It’s not not even your color and then you have to keep drawing. Uh, Uno is a very streaky game, man. Like just like All right, so I need a red, green, green, blue, yellow, blue, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, blue, blue. You know how it is. But you can start with the Uno and then you end up with 25 cards like no problem. Also, the large deck is is crazy. It’s like the old person deck, isn’t it? And you you know it’ll be like all right so CJ Ham has Uno then a Aon Jones or Jordan Mason they got like a draw for a while just like about to drop it on his ass but CJ’s like you want blocking. Oh man, I love this team. It’s fantastic. Uno sucks though. Can’t explain it but I don’t like it. So I do like Jordan Addison out here. Great state of Minnesota. Uh, the state of fishing. Should be a state of fishing because it definitely ain’t the state of hockey. But, uh, Jordan M, uh, excuse me, uh, Addison out here, a largemouth bass looking good. I feel like Addison’s photos are always such a vibe. You know what I mean? Because there was one I wish I I wish I had it where he was watching highlights of himself while taking a selfie. It’s like that that is so many layers. That is so many layers. spot out here. Uh what’s even better is that he’s wearing the uh Bal Balenc Balencia. I had the pronunciation up cuz I’m trying to get better at that. Balenciaga like the the slide slippers going on here. Yeah, true fisherman wearing the shance. It’s good, too. Uh lastly, uh so uh this is beautiful. yesterday. Uh, Diamond Dallas Turner on Instagram posted a tribute. Kyrie Jackson on his heavenly birthday. Uh, happy heavenly birthday, brother. Love and miss you. And I don’t know, uh, it’s one of those spots where everyone on the team that was that was on on the squad with Kyrie for a brief amount of time has nothing but great things to say. All right. He he truly was a personality. Truly was Yeah. And they always we always say this about you know someone who left this world to really like the they lit up a room and all that stuff but it was absolutely true about Kyrie and you know Turner has you know definitely you know took it the hardest and you know he’s teammates with Kyrie at Alabama and with the Vikings. You know he had Kyrie’s name plate above his locker too which is great and I don’t know like Kyrie would have been 26 way too young. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh but you know, I love love love to see uh his and his family’s foundation doing some good work out there as well. So yeah, going way too soon. Anyways, uh that’s it.
