1. when we beat the dodgers the other day and greg amsinger said that we won a game we lost. those dodgers are so good that they win when they lose

6. Honestly what I love about baseball is it’s not so tank/draft heavy. By this point I want my favorite NHL and NFL teams to lose every game for the draft and get mad if they win. But MLB? F it. Win every game even if you make the wild card and lose. You just never know with baseball. Go birds give ‘em hell

11. I do believe some of these points but the Mets will really have to continue to fall apart. Our offense and back end starters need to be better than they have been if this is going to happen.

13. Can they? Sure why not. Will they? Probably not. Offense is too streaky. Saying we have a big 4 in the starting rotation is more than a stretch lol. The bullpen has still been preforming but riding 3 guys the rest of the season and a potential playoff run usually doesn’t work out. That being said it would be hilarious making the playoffs and pushing the Mets out

16. The Cardinals haven’t made the playoffs since 2022, won a playoff game since 2020, and haven’t won a playoff series since 2019. If they make the Wild Card round even if it is only to get beat by the Dodgers of course I’ll be happy. At this point you have to show that you’re building towards something. The Blues making the playoffs last season and taking the Jets to the brink built excitement for this the upcoming season. This would do the same.

21. This team was always going to be heavily dependent on the young core. If Walker maintains his current streak and some of the other guys can pick it up, good things well happen.

    Personally, I believe the playoffs are out of reach. However, ending the year fighting for it and having our young guys start to develop into solid ball players will be a huge jumpstart to 2026.
