I realize the pitching staff is struggling with injuries right now but his ERA is almost 7.0. There has to be a better option somewhere.

I bet when Lorenzen gets of the IL we’ll see some bullpen changes.
He’s not been terrible recently, maybe something’s changed
He hasn’t been that bad since he came back from injury. I think like 4.4 era which includes 4 runs in one outing.
This is a guy who pitched in 5 of the 6 playoff games last year and was reliable. Having him be the low leverage guy and see if he can get back to form isn’t the worst thing.
I’d imagine he’s gone once our IR guys get back
Need a long man in a blowout…
We’re about to get an answer to this question.
I know baseball is very much a “what have you done for us lately?” sport, but I will remember Sam Long’s 7-30 game where he pitched a clean 10th inning in a 1-0 win. He threw 17 strikes and 1 ball.
Because he’s been pitching well lately and the coaches are smart enough to ignore the Spring numbers when he was hurt.
