It’s been a rough couple years for us Twins fans. This is a nice cherry on top of the bullshit sundae we’ve been munching on since fall of 2023.

  1. Quite the twist after their epic sell-off. Hopefully there are better days ahead for the fans.

  2. As a White Sox fan, this is the only time I’ve ever felt empathy for Twins fans. I see you. I hear you. I’m sorry for you.

  3. Well, good news for the greater MLB community, start the bidding on Ryan and Lopez now! We’ll take a 32-year-old AA “prospect” for either.

  4. At times like these, I’m reminded of the journal entry former president Teddy Roosevelt made the night his wife and mother both died.

“The light has gone out of my life.”

    The boycott continues, in perpetuity.

  5. I don’t have a lot of faith in these new minority investors if they looked at this situation: declining interest and revenues directly related to malaise with the Pohlads at the helm, and they said “Yes! Let’s throw in a bunch of $ to help you pay off your debt while you continue to choke off revenue streams by further killing fan interest”. Some real tycoons coming in…

  6. I feel bad for the Twins fans. Every team needs ownership that cares more about the legacy of the team, the fans and winning then they do maximizing profits.

  7. You may remember in the year or so before the Wilpons sold the Mets, they stopped the sale and said they would sell the team but retain power for the next five years or some nonsense like that. Cohen walked away at that point and the deal looked dead. Fortunately, they changed their mind and eventually sold to Cohen.
TL-DR: don’t give up hope yet!

  8. So looks like the only baseball I’ll be watching in person is the St. Paul Saints and the northwoods league for the next 20 years

  9. “A wealth of experience” does NOT equal “a wealth of money,” though, does it?
