BREAKING NEWS: Cleveland Browns’ QB Shedeur Sanders injures oblique in joint practice vs. Eagles
Uh, let’s just go right into this one. OK, so according to Adam Schefter, Shador Sanders suffered an oblique injury while throwing during the early portion of practice today. That’s why he was held out for the rest of the session answering our question from earlier in the show as to why he wasn’t getting any of those reps, Mary Kay. Also said the same thing she added, and this is her opinion, not a fact, means he probably won’t play Saturday. Dustin, an oblique injury on a Wednesday. What does that mean for his status come Saturday? I mean if he’s not practicing because because of the oblique, he probably won’t play you know those things are and I know from playing, you know, the sport I play now is a lot more of this core than um than the position I played in football, but the position he plays in football, it’s all core. So he’s gotta make sure that that that area because you do any sort of, you know, twisting and throwing and and contortion, all that stuff is, is gonna be, uh, painful. — So I’m guessing he’s probably down for the next week
— probably I mean baseball pitchers get an oblique injury, you’re down a month so it’s 4 to 6 weeks with with obliques usually. Roughly does it matter I mean we — we have no idea the severity
— could have just tweaked it and it could be a couple of day thing maybe he plays on on Saturday. Um, obviously there’s speculation there from Mary Kay. I’m guessing there’s probably it’s probably an informed speculation if you know what I’m saying, she probably has a little insight on it more than we do, uh, but I mean the good news is the guy played really well, so they have some tape of him and, and know what he can do, but. It’s unfortunate because I, I do think he was gonna get a lot of reps on Saturday. He was gonna play half the game. I, I genuinely think the plan was for Gabriel to play half and Chadoor to play half assuming health. Now you have 3 of your 4 quarterbacks, by the way, all dealing with some sort of injury and the 41 year old somehow the healthiest of the three, just, just a question, and, and we have no idea, no information. If he heard it throwing earlier in the day. Or early in the practice. Is that tend to be more of a strain? I feel it’d be tough to tear an oblique because usually when you tear an oblique, Jason, that’s from like the full on. — Oh
— you’re saying like maybe he wasn’t like going like 100% like in terms of how hard he was throwing or how how much exertion exactly because like with Carlo Stanton on the Yankees, every time he swings a bat he ends up straining his oblique and he swings the ball he swings the bat so hard. And it’s always his, he’s a right-handed hitter, so when he swings, it’s his, his backside oblique. — So
— put it this way, when I golf, I don’t golf very often and I don’t golf very well. I have one of those orange ball things in my bag that that you swing, swing trainer like just to help warm up the swing, and I use that so that I don’t get up there on the tee box and try to swing out of my shoes and tear an oblique, you know, you wanna try to get yourself warmed up. I’m sure he does all that stuff, but either way, uh. The amount of stress that he put on it being early in practice, I, I would probably, I think it’s actually a good take by you. It could hopefully is not as bad. It wasn’t a full live drill where he was really like that’s when you, you pull muscles or or really tear muscles is when you’re going harder than — you probably should or or you’re trying to really get squeezing
— a ball. — I mean
— you’re trying to, you know, guys, you know. Uh, tear their Achilles, you know, going for a ball they shouldn’t, shouldn’t go for, or they do something that they, you know, just try to push their limitations. So again, we’re not doctors, who the hell knows, but we’re hoping that it’s not as serious as a 4 to 6 week thing as it could be like a pitcher. It would be very disappointing from just me me personally speaking. If this is the end of the Shaor experience in camp, if this injury is a 2-3 injury, what a, what a Brownsian way to, to just sort of, you know, that’s whimper out of training camp. No, no, it’s been, it’s been fun training camp. — It’s what
— I’m saying. It’s been like this has been the storyline we’ve won’t have all your followers on me. Sal Paolantonio. I know well there the Gabriel lights are gonna make it a light postgame, but like Sal Paolantonio was on ESPN this morning from joint practice before it started. The Eagles are defending Super Bowl champions, and the question was what’s Shaddoor Sanders, the first question they asked him on SportsCenter is what’s the Browns’ plan for Shaddoor today? And he was like, Well, Kevin’s fancying to talk a little bit. We’ll find out what he says. But early indications are the joint practice reps will go to starter. Shador Dylan will play in the game. It’s the biggest story in camp, and it just, it, it’d be an absolute bummer, you know, our, our shows and things we talk about ESPN is gonna play the hits. Yeah, you know, you want people wanna know what what Shadoor is doing, uh, the fact that he played well in that preseason game and then the Nike commercial, like all this dude, I mean, it’s a big ass story. And it just, it, it would be a shame if the only glimpse of Shaddoor that we got against real competition, not the threes and the fours, is, is that Carolina game where he looked. Every bit of a competent quarterback, I understand competition is what it is, but like he showed things that translate regardless of who you’re playing and if this is the end of the Shador training camp experience because he’s gonna miss 2-3 weeks potentially with an oblique injury. It’d be a bummer and it feels very, you’re right, browsy and that that’s how it would come to an end on a pre-practice warm-up throw that he strained an oblique on. I just can’t believe that they had 4 quarterbacks and 3 of them have already been hurt. The old guy. Mid August Pick it with a hamstring and we’re gonna get ham, right, yeah, as well, yeah, and now on the lake it’s like, dude, what are we doing with our quarterbacks. Quarterbacks should be getting like muscle injuries, and you would think between the four of them there’s fewer reps to go around and it’s not like it’s just one guy to and it’s like, oh, he threw a million passes. — It’s
— 4 guys have an elbow or a shoulder, you know, something they’re actually, you know, putting a little wear and tear on or like, you know, you take a shot and you’re out with a concussion or something like it’s, it’s a hamstring, yeah, yeah, and now an oblique. I just hope you know we were talking earlier about picket. If the job was his, he’s not take 7 on 7 reps. I just hopes the door doesn’t try and rush back, give this thing time to heal, and, and hopefully it is just a few days. I’d be surprised because obliques typically are not just a couple of days. It, it would have to be very, very mild for it to be just a couple of days. Not good. Not fun, yeah, not, not, not ideal. I just. I wanna see what the kid could do and the more preseason games that’s when he was gonna get his most reps, his most opportunities and you know hopefully to Jason’s point it’s, it’s a day or two kind of thing, couple days, but. I just go back, you know, you know is gonna want to compete and he wants to play. So if it’s, if it’s a serious thing and he can’t go, then it’s, it is what it is. But if it’s not, he’ll he’s going to want to be back out there to play in this game. He knows he needs the reps needs opportunities to prove he’s a competitor. I mean, the guy tough ass kid Deion Sanders kid, man. Like he knows how to compete. Yes, that’s all I’m saying. I mean the kid knows how to compete. He may not be able to read a playbook yet, but he knows how to freaking compete. — And
— when you look at what he took and the punishment he took at Colorado behind that offensive line, like there’s no question this dude’s toughness. This dude is proven on a football field. He’s a good he’s a good kid and, and all those things. — He just needs to learn how to play the position at a professional
— level, and that’s what preseason games are for to help him expedite that process.
The Cleveland Browns QB competition just took another turn as reports out of Philly say Browns’ rookie Shedeur Sanders suffered an injury during joint practices against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Shedeur Sanders suffered an oblique injury while throwing during the early portion of practice today and was held out for the rest of the session.

This "Injury" is so there isnt pressure to play him Saturday. Now Gabriel can go out and fall flat on his face and ruin any trade value he may have
Let’s see what Dillon Gabriel or Kenny Picket do in the next game
That manning kid is the goal & also making sure sanders name and likeness contract clause is sabotaged.
Dude you all are so blind when you watch him cook and now you hate!
Wow, that voodoo doll really worked. Go figure.
6:58 He might not be able to read a playbook??????? DUDE S Y B A U
3 QBs hurt a week apart? Sounds suspicious to me
Shedeur didn't practice to get hurt. Let's call out the Browns organization for all these fake injuries. Dillon still received reps while injured. Why isn't Shedeur receiving reps?
Shedeur can rest now he’s lock in any way , let Flacco and Gabriel warm up too see how they do
We need to see DG play anyway why does it matter Shedeur already showed that he could play we need to see that elite computer processing everybody been talking about ..😂😂
The watch can't stay Healthy
Well, guess will tune in to other teams, no need to watch Browns
Flaccos beating fathers time while everyone else is getting hurt
Flaccos team now bitches
Browns done fumbled the bag!!🤦🏾♂️
And we tuning out!!! ✌️
He'll be fine rest up youve proven your value now get healthy for next time to shine
Thats bullshit he was walking around using the medicinball Cant watch any Cleveland based talk anymore its just not truthful reporting. This type of reporting has contributed to their losing culture. Then you try to drag out a mush brain vet to legitimize this bs? Earnest Biner left to get a superbowl ring, art modell left and got superbowl winning teams. All Cleveland has is mary kay, tony and 30 plus quarterbacks in and out how pathetic..
Pretty soon they'll have to talk about Flacco and get off sanders nuts
Smart move 12. Force them to play Gabrielle for 3 quarters since you had to do it
Whats wrong with Cleveland quarterbacks. They can't breathe without hurting themselves.
Everyone will be waiting for Dillon to play horrible 😂😂😂
No problem. We'll get the preseason debut of the "Compaq Presario". 🏈💻🔌
Mikey Mcnumbnuts. Maybe you should wait before you make dumb twitter posts.
