[Music] 963 964. We’ve got Derek Crochet and the Red Sox at – 165. Christian Javier and the Astros plus 146. Total of 7 and a half with some juice to the under at minus 120. Kenny Astros, another team. Uh all of a sudden Ryan Gusto is not on the team anymore. I don’t know where the hell he went and is pitching somewhere else like the Pirates or something. Ryan Gusta or the He’s just he’s been pitching for the Astros all year. He’s gone. And now you bring back Christian Javier who’s certainly a talented guy or he was a talented guy when he was a regular part of this rotation two years ago. He hasn’t pitched major in the major league since May of last year, debuting tonight. And Red Sox were another team I was thinking of their run line here, but uh I don’t know. Baseball’s weird. All signs. Are we getting a short price here on Garrett Crochet? I mean, we’re getting Javier here at first first game in 18 months almost and we’re just getting minus 165 on Crochet. What do you think here, Kenny? Red Sox Astros. Just a spot that I don’t really know what to do with. I feel like we’ve had we’ve had a lot of games this year where it’s like pitchers making their first, you know, a a pitcher that has like a pretty high pedigree that when they’re really good, they’re really good. Yeah. But like that kind of pitcher making their first start in two years, I mean, that’s just the nature of baseball right now. Everyone’s getting Tommy John, everyone misses a year. So, I’m really curious to see what kind of stuff he has coming back. Um, I feel like most guys that have returned from Tommy John, if as long as they can avoid a reinjury, like they they look good and at times their stuff even looks better. It’s just a question of sort of what kind of, you know, what kind of leash you think that they can reasonably expect. So, I haven’t looked at Javier’s recent like rehab starts or, you know, what they what they’ve maxed him out at, but I mean, I was surprised to see they’ve got him at, you know, over under four and a half strikeouts. So, there’s at least, you know, some level of respect for how long they think he’s going to play. Um, I debate it doing something with with Crochet K’s, uh, and, you know, in Red Sox money line. I just I don’t know. This this Astros offense is kind of sneaky, right? Is kind of sneaky. And I think right now, like they they feel like they’re been on a bit of bit of a heater. Altuve, I feel like, homerred like three the last four games. Jeremy Pena is swinging hot. So, I don’t know. There’s certain teams I I feel like I’m I’m more comfortable to to to take pitches against. And right now, this Astros team in Houston, I just I got a I got a weird feeling about this one. Again, I’m a I’m a crochet guy. I think crochet is unbelievable. This game feels I think trappy for for lack of better words. I don’t know why. Yeah, you don’t want to take 8Ks at even money. That’s actually reduced price. You’re getting a buy down on Crochet. It’s typically 9Ks at like plus 15. So, you’re getting a little bit of a buy down at 8 at even money. Uh Dixon Cider says, “I don’t like to bet on guys with women’s names, but Lordis Guriel should eat today.” Bdub. Uh so two questions. One, Red Sox Astros. What are we going to get out of Christian Javier? Uh that four and a halfk iss a lot of that baked into it is Red Sox strike out a ton. And uh number two, BDub, do you will you make a wager? If you see a guy’s name, does it make you more inclined or less inclined? I certainly do this with horses. If I see a great horse name, I’m betting it. Even even if it’s not fast, I’m betting a cool horse name. Does this happen to you though where you’re like I can’t bet this guy? No, I I definitely I would bet it. I would I wouldn’t. It doesn’t bother me. In fact, like if you had a name like Madison or I saw a guy’s name the other day, his name was Kim. You know, you you figure you got to run with that your whole life. So, you’re going to be really in touch with your feminine side. I think that that kind of tough, right? Kind of fighting off the bull. Yeah. But yeah, you can you could be you could look at it from that side, but I think that you’re going to be versatile and you got to be versatile in life. So, no. I think that if anything, it’s going to help the person out. But I I’m really glad I was not named Jean or Kim or something like this, you know? Yeah. Kelly, my my ex-wife, the the the bridge troll, wanted to name my son Kelly, and I’m like, well, that’s not going to happen. I will I will Lacy Peterson you before I name my kid Kelly. I just want you to know that. It was a big uh big argument naming my son. She wanted to give him a girl’s name. I’m like, it’s not happening. That’s not going to happen. We are not naming him Kelly. I don’t know why ladies like to do that. They It’s cuz they want their sons to be like their little girlfriends. I don’t get it. I don’t get that. That crap. But nonetheless, I digress. Bub, what do we think? Red Sox Astros. So, this game I’m going first five Boston second leg of the base winner parlay. And the base winner parlay today pays one plus 153. We had a nice little run last week until it was you you mentioned uh Scubble like got hit a little bit by the Angels and that does get go to show you that uh you know nothing’s guaranteed in baseball but I think some of these numbers are really compelling for Crochet. You you look at his strikeout percentage Kyle and Kyle who’s who’s got the highest strikeout percentage on the board today. Well I know that’s Garrett Crochet. It’s got Miles Nicholas that’s who it is. It’s Taiwan Walker. No, he’s I think Taiwan. No, the lowest one. Kenny, good job. The lowest one is Micas at eight eight in the eight percentile. So, Kenny, he doesn’t get hit around. I don’t get the Miles Molas thing, man. It stresses me out. He stresses me out. When I just see his name, I get anxiety. I don’t know why he stresses me out, dude. Well, that’s that I don’t know, man. Maybe got to seek help for that one. Um, you’re So, anyway, Crochet stuff plus 97th percentile pitching plus 91st percentile. And sometimes you see these guys get hit hard if they have stuff. Plus, uh, that’s good. But like this guy’s uh, hard hits per nine at 92nd percent. Uh, I think the guy can deal and you know, Javier, you guys both mentioned, you don’t know what you’re going to get with him. And at his best, he’s really good. He’s got a disappearing pitch. I can’t remember which one it is. It might be the It might be like the the the um two seamer. I think he’s got a two seamer that disappears. It’s a It’s an invisible pitch and when he throws it, it’s good. based on what he’s done. Um, and I think he hasn’t pitched since last year. Uh, I’ve he was really struggling last year. So, I I think that we have a big uh pitching advantage here. You know, this Boston offense better than Houston. I think you throw that into the mixer. Uh, I think the thing should be priced like probably about 20 points higher than it is. So, uh, first five Boston to Texas base winner parlay. And, uh, we’ll just see. Oh, you know, one of the things too about this game is I watched Crochet pitch uh his last start and he was really really good. I think that sometimes you gota you got to maybe put that out of your mind, man. He went he’s on. So hopefully he’ll stay on and and we’ll get this one and we’ll get the base winner parley today. Kyle Kenny, two things. One, you want to add a live ad here. You got a play that you like. And number two, Ba mentions the invisible pitch. If you could have superpowers, what are you taking? You take invisibility. you taking super speed, super strength? If you could get one of the superpowers, which one are you taking? Like, is is time travel an option? I don’t know if that’s a superpower, but uh it all comes back to focus on your fantasy here. So, yeah, sure. I mean, so if if it has to be, you know, you get a superpower, but you have to live in the present. Um I mean, the ability invisibility is rapey, right? Invisibility is rapey. There’s a lot of there’s a lot of we like Like, put it this way, too. If like every if the whole world knows that you had a choice and a superpower and they know that you picked invisibility, like they’re gonna have a lot of questions, right? Yeah. All right. Give me the ability to fly. There you go. I’ll just The ability to fly. Good one. The super speed really entices me. I’m not going to lie, but uh uh just running over water. Yeah. Yeah. Like that. Like that’s pretty awesome, you know? Like running on water. That’s pretty dope. But uh nonetheless, what do you think here? Uh what’s your live ad in this game? Do you like a hitter that you like in this? Yeah. I you know I’m going to just I’m going to drink some of the narrative Kool-Aid here, but I was just I wanted to confirm the game logs. Uh this will be Bregman’s uh first appearance back in Houston as a member of the Red Sox. They’ve played the they’ve played the Astros a few times, but they were in Fenway. So this will be Bregman’s first first time playing in Houston, not as a member of the Houston Astros. Um and again, really good splits really throughout his entire career, but especially this year uh against um against lefties. And as I’m saying against lefties, I have to confirm that Javier is No, Javier is a righty. Javier is a righty. I think Javier is a right. Don’t worry. Breakman Spitz are still really good. But it’s funny as I was saying that I was like I’m confusing him with Fran Valdez. I I know I am. That happens to me all the time. I mix up I mix up Frammber and Javier like way too much. But nonetheless, again, I would have preferred a lefty. But plus 117 still the really good price. That’s the best price that I see uh in the market here. And I I think Bregman might be giving Javier a welcome back to baseball uh home run shot in the first inning. We shall see. Yeah, a little reinde narrative. Bdub, before we move on, what are you taking? The super speed, the super strength invisibility thing. Yeah, I think that’s cool. You could probably You can’t do it though, dude. But you could probably steal a bunch of stuff being invisible. And then it would also give you the opportunity to really see how people feel about you because you just be there and be like, “Oh, that guy’s an asshole.” Basically, I can’t stand that. No, it’s good. It’s just No, I want to know the I want to know the truth. And if you think I’m an [ __ ] just tell me in my face. I want to thank think think the left of you. But here so so so this is so getting back to the game. So Christian Javier’s invisible pitch I was correct refers to as forseam fastball. You know Kyle it appears to rise unexpectedly. It gets on them faster than anticipated. I don’t know if that’s good or bad in baseball according to that pitch. It’s really good but I I just I looked at that and I said well gosh sometimes you don’t want it to rise unexpectedly. Sometimes you do. You really don’t. And you don’t want to get on things unexpectedly, especially if you’re invisible. That’s real rape. Then oh my goodness, we’ve crossed so many lines. You know what I mean? Uh yeah, superheroes. Yeah, superheroes in real life. Oh god. Nonetheless, for purposes of the show, we got a couple plays here. We got the live ad, Alex Bregman. Over one and a half total bases for Kenny.
