Tennessee Titans fan reaction to MUCH BETTER joint practice with Atlanta Falcons on day 2!
Tennessee Titans fans, day two of joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons has just come to a close and thankfully, mercifully, it was better than day one. If you watched my video yesterday, if you saw the reports coming out of the joint practice yesterday, you know that yesterday, Tuesday, was not a good day of joint practice for the Tennessee Titans. We were hoping they would recover, rebound, have a better day today, and the good news is it appears they did. All reports coming out indicate that while this was not perfect by any means, it was better. They came out with more life. They came out with more grit than they did yesterday, not looking so flat, not looking so tired. Let’s take a look at some post coming out of the Titans Falcons joint practice day two. As Terron Davenport says, Ray Ray Mloud just beat Marcus Harris deep for a touchdown. That’s not good. But he goes on to say, “Titans Dline and Falcons got into it. Both sidelines cleared and they continued at it for another five minutes.” So the Titans coming out showing some fight literally today. The Titans a big brawl broke out between the Titans and the Falcons that like he said went on for five minutes and then when they would try to run another play another fight would break out. Then they would try to do a special teams period and another fight would break out. We’re hearing about Fiola Dejo doing some pushing and shoving. We’re hearing about Mason Kinsey doing some pushing and shoving. Now, you got to get that stuff under control. I understand you do that in a game. People are getting penalized. People are getting suspended. You got to get that under control once the actual season gets here. But I’m not going to lie, I am glad to see some fight literally and some heart and some pride from this Titans team that got kind of embarrassed yesterday. In fact, Eastston Freeze went on to talk about it and said, “Just saw an aftershock of the original fight a few plays later. Things threatened to get out of hand on that field again and the coaches shut it down.” Remember Jarvis Brownley calling yesterday BS for the defense? They came out today like a group who was thinking about it all night. And while today was not the greatest for the defense, I’m not going to act like the defense just came out and was perfect. The defense showed some fight, showed some heart today that we didn’t really see yesterday. And I like the way that Eastston said it there. Jarvis Brownley after practice yesterday called the whole thing BS. He said their performance in joint practice yesterday was BS and it seemed like the Titans thought about it all night and were ready to get out there and redeem themselves. That’s a good quality to have responding to adversity. When the chips are down, you come back and you and you make it right. It’s kind of what life is all about. I would like to get to a place where we don’t have to make up for it because we never come out flat in the first place. That’s where the Titans got to get to. But I am glad to see that they slept on it, came back today, and were fired up, ready to go, ready to fight. Not just going to lay down, not just going to roll over. But no, it’s only August 13th. We’re going to come back and we’re going to make this right. I’m glad to see that from the Titans. Glad to hopefully see leaders stepping up. We saw the pictures of Cam Ward addressing the team yesterday after practice in a heartfelt speech. I don’t know how that can’t fire you up, especially now seeing that they came back today and had a better day. Cameron Ward, this is from Terron Davenport. Cameron Ward just found Calvin Ridley deep for a touchdown over AJ Terrell. Ridley spiked the ball and pointed to the crowd. So, here’s what I want to say about this. Obviously, the Cam Calvin connection is is hitten in full force and it has been throughout all of training camp. We saw it against Tampa Bay the other night and we’re still seeing it now. Calvin Ridley looking better than he did even a year ago at this time. He’s got some fire. He’s got some heart at his old team that he used to play at. He’s pointing to the crowd. He’s spiking the ball. He’s having a good time. Calvin Ridley, I’m expecting a big season from him. And I think he’s going to absolutely be the most reliable target for Cam Ward. I don’t want to put a damper on that cuz I’m happy that Cam and Calvin have that connection, but somebody else is going to have to step up for Cam Ward. It can’t just be Calvin Ridley because if it’s just Calvin Ridley, then opposing defenses are just going to double team him and dare somebody else to beat him. Somebody else, whether a wide receiver, a tight end, somebody has got to step up and be a reliable, good target for Cam Ward. It can’t just be Calvin Ridley. I feel like every time we get a major highlight report from one of these practices, it’s always Calvin Ridley. And while I’m thrilled to hear that cuz we’re paying him a lot of money, I’m looking at Ellio Manor and Chim Ray DK in particular, the two rookie wide receivers. I’m saying, “Hey, I know it’s early.” I’m not saying I’m like giving up on you guys, but one of you guys at least needs to come along cuz this guy’s got to have more than just one one good wide receiver. He’s got to have more than just one guy he can depend on. I’m looking at the tight ends, Conquo, Gunner Helm, whoever the third tight end is. Looks like it’s going to be David Martin Robinson right now. Somebody’s got to step up. It can’t just be Calvin. As much as I appreciate Calvin and love Calvin, I’m excited about Calvin, there’s got to be somebody else, right? So, but glad always glad to see Cam and Calvin hooking up in the in the practices for big plays and see Calvin pointing to the crowd, having a little more swagger, a little more mojo. I think Cam’s helping bring that out of him as well. Paul Koharsski says, “Johnny Hecker shankfest right now.” Now, Johnny Hecker, the new punter for the Titans, and it’s not off to a great start. Not off to a great start with Johnny Hecker. Didn’t exactly have a great game against Tampa Bay the other night in the preseason game, and now today he’s kind of stinking it up in the joint practice. Little concerned about our punter. We got rid of Ryan Stonehouse for this guy. Little concerned. Little concerned about the punter. Let’s Let’s get it together. I’m not going to freak out about it now, but I mean, come on. especially after special teams were so bad last year. Terry McCormack said Cedric Gray running with the ones the first team in this team period. Just wanted to throw that in because we’ve talked about all offseason that inside, excuse me, that inside linebacker position is kind of open auditions right now. You got Cody Barton, sure, but somebody’s got to start beside of him. I still think James Williams is probably the front runner, but Cedric Gray, I was always excited about Cedric Gray. I know he kind of got behind the eightball last year because he wasn’t able to do training camp and all the preseason stuff. So, he was just kind of behind. He never got that meaningful playing time. I’m still excited about Cedric Gray. I think he started off kind of bad the other night in the preseason game, but he got better. I still think he could be something and interesting to see that he’s going with the first team. I think the Titans are still treating it as though it is open audition for that other linebacker position and they’re going to give every everybody a chance. They’re going to give Cedric Gray and James Williams and anybody else their opportunity to go with the ones and I’m excited for them to get that opportunity especially I mean I like James Williams but I really like Cedric Gray and I hope he can figure it out. Another one from Paul Koharsski. This was interesting. This was toward the end of practice. This was uh Cam Ward’s only interception of the day I believe. Paul said, “Will Levis level throwaway?” Will catching shade there from Paul. Cam Ward flushed right by Brendan Dorius, picked by D. Alfred on sideline as Ward didn’t get the throwaway out of bounds. So, the reason I included this in here, like I said, I think this was Cam’s only interception of the day today. And what it appears when you look at the other reports, what it appears happened here, Cam rolled out of the pocket, was going to throw it away, but he didn’t throw it far enough away. It was still in bounds and somebody came down with an interception. The reason I include this is because he kind of did the same thing against Tampa Bay in the preseason game the other night. The only difference is the Bucks players couldn’t close on it in time and it fell harmlessly to the ground incomplete. But it was his second pass of the game on third and five or whatever it was on the Titans first possession. He ran out of the pocket which he didn’t need to do cuz he had a clean pocket. rolled to his right and was going to chunk it out of bounds, but the ball landed in bounds and there were two Bucks defenders nearby and if one of them had been closer, they could have picked it off. If this is his big problem, it’s not a terrible problem to have because I mean, I think any of us could coach him up on this. If you’re going to throw it away, throw it away. Aim for the concession stand. I mean, do not give it any chance to be caught in bounds. It’s a It’s a pattern. I mean, he’s done it a couple times now that we’ve seen. Just tell him to throw If you’re going to throw it away, chunk it. Throw it away. Do not give anybody a chance because if you try to throw it away, but you don’t put enough on it and you just get rid of it and then somebody picks it off. Like Paul said, that’s getting over into Will Le territory. That’s Will Levvice just shoveling the thing out there and somebody picks it off. We don’t want that anymore. We don’t we don’t want to live that life anymore. So, if you’re going to the moral of the story, if you’re going to throw it away, throw it away. Don’t kind of throw it away. No, I mean, you’re throwing it away. It’s going to be incomplete. Just chunk it into the stands. Got to get that under control. But I’m glad he’s learning it now and not in the regular season. Dear Lord. Terry McCormack says, “Cam Ward said he feels like the Titans could be a top 10 offense, but said it will take everybody focusing and doing everything right consistently.” And then this is the part I want to zero in on. called his receiving unit a top five group. Um, this has kind of been Cam’s thing that he does even before he got drafted. He was on the Fortnite live stream this before he got drafted and people were asking him who’s your who’s your favorite running back in the NFL. He’s like, I’d say Tony Pard or Taj Spears. Who do you think are the best wide receivers in in the NFL? Oh, Calvin Ridley, Taylen Burks, uh, Bryce Oliver. like he would always he only named like who who do you think is the best coach in the NFL? I’d have to say Brian Callahan. This is what he’s done since like March. He sucks up to his own players. He sucks up to the home team and he he talks them up. This is what he does. So he says today he thinks the Titans can have a top five receiving core in the in the NFL with Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, Van Jefferson, Bryce Oliver, Ellio Manor, and Chim Ray DK. I mean, I hope he’s right, but I just, you know, here’s the thing. I I know it’s like nonsense, but I like the fact that like I’m not even going to give other teams the time of day. I’m not even going to talk about players on other teams. I’m going talk about my guys. I’m going talk about how good my guys are. I’m fine with that. I mean, it’s rid I mean like nobody would say the Titans have a top five receiving court in the NFL, but you know what? If somebody’s going to, it needs to be the quarterback throwing them the ball. Right. Finally, this is the last one of the day. Buck rising. Calvin Ridley walking off the practice field said, “We won today.” Y’all write that. So, Calvin and the Titans apparently feel like the Titans had a much better day. I wasn’t there, so I’m not going to try to tell you who won and who didn’t win. Joint practices are weird. It does appear that the Titans had more fire today. They had more fight. Um, showed more heart. Probably not as pretty still as you would like it to be. Not like they had the greatest practice of all time, but it was better than yesterday. And whether they won or not, yeah, I’m glad to see that there’s so because Calvin was pretty quiet last year. The fact that Calvin’s talking a little bit, showing a little fire, running that mouth a little bit. Hey, good. Good. That’s fine with me. Like, let him whether they won the practice or not. If if he wants to if he wants to get fired up after it’s done cuz he felt like he had a good day, no problem. Go ahead. Going forward. I mean, obviously tomorrow is is Thursday, so they’re not really going to do anything tomorrow. And then Friday is the game. Friday, Titans, Falcons in Atlanta, and Brian Callahan says that just like the other night, it’ll be about the same. Cam Ward and the starting offense will get two possessions. No Jeffrey Simmons, no Kevin Zitler, and Brandon Allen, who got hurt yesterday, will be back. Trevor Simeon has replaced Tim Bole. And uh that’ll be Friday night. And I’m excited for more preseason action. And I’m excited that the Titans were able to come back and have a better day today, but they need to get even better. I’m still concerned about the coach, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. God bless you everybody. Tighten up. My

In regards to Cam throwing the ball out, I had no idea in College the ball has to pass the line of scrimmage when throwing it away so its probably just a brain lapse moment im certain itll be a non issue
Y’all got smoked again today dbs pissed wanna fight a qb over 7on7 is crazy work 😂
how they bounce back with all those ints are you kidding me they was mad because they got embarrassed by the falcons in all areas he had 2 ints one in the end zone by the rookie

Love u Brad
😂😅 Titans were getting whipped again in practice…thus, the fighting. Stop spinning the truth. Titans loss both days. Glad to see some fighting vs winning the actual rep? That's actually dumb.
Just let ward play the next two preseason games for real
Gunnar Helm my friend Gunnar Helm
Speak it into existence Cam!
Literally glorifying a fight where the Titans allowed a deep ball TD? That doesnt sound any better it sounds worse. Football is suddenly about fighting?
Them Tennessee boys accepted all smoke today, and gave it back with vengeance. That’s my guys through better or worse⚔️💯
Freaking out about practice is the silliest shit ever
much better? they wanted to fight cause they was getting cooked
Friday is my birthday all i want is 2 tds from cam ward
Bunch of undisciplined football is all. Get our butt kicked on the gridiron, decided to start assaulting people. Just what I expect from a Cally lead team. Worst team in franchise history last year.
To be fair, the brawl started after giving up a deep td. Not exactly instilling confidence, more so instilling spiraling from sucking
The Titans players starting fights caused both teams to lose out on valuable reps.
I respect your team very much as a Falcons fan. But don't go hurt my QB because he torched your team two days in a row. Just because your are mad that you are worse or playing bad does not make violence ok. If you dish trash talk, you got to be able to take it.
I am not impressed with this team
fighting back by throwing picks and starting fights? lmao
