Pirates vs. Brewers Game Highlights (8/13/25) | MLB Highlights

Hottest ticket in town, the Milwaukee Brewers, the hottest team in major league baseball looking for a series sweep against the Pirates and looking for their 12th consecutive victory, couldn’t imagine better start for Woody after being on the injured list, almost two years been outstanding last time against the Mets. Seven innings. Three hits, two runs only needed 79 pitches to get through those seven innings. He had eight punch outs. Ronnie Simon, 25 years old from the Dominican Republic off the end of the bat, Siegler fields it and he will throw out simon one up and one down early contact against brandon Woodruff Horowitz one for four last night and it’s popped up. This one is going to be playable shallow, right? Frelich is there and makes the catch two away and that will bring up Brian Reynolds. So there’ll be four Pirates including the first three in the order that bat left handed against Woodruff lefties are hitting just 1, 32 against him, putting a two out man on for pham. So here is Pham 260 on the year five home runs, 33 driven in cracks. This one into left center field and over to cut it off. Perkins. Tommy Pham continues his surge against brandon. Woodruff. Gonzalez has never faced Woodruff but look what he’s done last 11 games. 3, 62 ground ball off of Woodruff’s glove to Ortiz on the backhand throw to first. Something’s going right in Milwaukee 163. It goes and Woodruff puts up a hero in the first. That’s Keller looking to play Stopper in this ballgame making his 25th start. Andrew Vaughn Bryce Tang here against Keller had a 123, 1st 12 called third strike sinker. It was up and Jelic is letting Bill Miller know that that was up. Christian. Not happy about it. Vaughn hitting 243 on the year to center field Sowinski back over his head and off the wall. Vaughn hustling for second. He is in with a double, just missed a homer swinging the ball flared to left. Pham will come on a step or two and make the catch for the second out two away and Blake Perkins is coming to bat and so , and it’s double and Vaughn is stranded through two. It’s nothing, nothing in Milwaukee. Mitch Keller is back to work. Still no score as we begin the bottom of the third with Siegler getting the start at third base today. Ground ball right back up the middle of base hit. Siegler leads off of the single , a slight. Here’s the 22nd base Siegler in taking advantage of every little inch. Those are the kind of plays the Brewers make better than any team in major league baseball. Here’s Ortiz groundball right side that is a productive at bat from Joey Ortiz Siegler ends up at third. Now, let’s see if Sal can get Anthony Siegler home and a base hit up the middle one, Ross in the first one of the game, first pitching pitch and with the infield in no chance for anybody to get that got to be hit right at an infielder when they’re in like that. Collins is the reigning national league player of the week. Three to two. Runner goes swing and a miss barks throw to second base is into center. Frelick gets up and stops the stolen base for Sal Frelick. He’s in scoring position for Contreras and he takes ball four , sets it up for Jelic two on two out and all of a sudden the pitch counts climbing for Mitch Keller Jelic into shallow. Right. That’s a base hit. Frelich is going to come around and score to third goes Contreras two nothing Brewers in a big two out run scoring single and that is hit sharply but right at Gonzalez, that one stung his palm. Brewers get a couple of runs to score column first with a pair in the third one out for Blake Perkins three for 16 on the home stand for Blake 31 pitch called the ball again, ball four and Perkins is aboard Joey Ortiz productive team at bat in the third. There he goes down low Barnes throw to second base late. That’s a heck of a throw but late right on the bag through the hole of base hit Perkins center out third. He’ll score another two out RB I for Joey Ortiz and another breaking pitch. Keller has made some mistakes with that pitch today. Now, Frelick drives the first pitch to deep right back goes simon track and it’s off the wall on a around third comes Ortiz, he will score no relay to the plate as Frelich rips a run scoring double Brewers all of a sudden leading four to nothing bottom of the order has been really good today. A couple of hits, a walk, two runs scored. Collins down into the corner. Frelick scores. Collins trades places with them five nothing, three consecutive base hits for the Brewers with two outs, three consecutive hits to drive in runs and a five to nothing lead. Contreras here comes Collins throw from three straight RB. I hits this one. William Contreras through the left side. It’s six nothing Milwaukee and into the ball game for the Milwaukee Brewers. Shelby Miller number 55. He’s having a spectacular season , 10 saves on the year 188, a 180 opponent average Ronnie Simon’s third pirate at bat and there’s Ronnie Simon with a base hit to start here in the fifth, his first pirate game Here’s Spencer Horwitz, here’s the pitch high and away and a walk to Horwitz, he’ll advance that way here in the fifth inning with the game presents opportunities. Now, shall we made his focus on one thing? And that’s getting ahead of the count here with Brian reynolds. Reynolds with a drive to right field to the wall and clear the deck cannonball coming a big swing from Brian Reynold his 12th and it’s 6 to 3. Brian reynolds got a first pitch breaking ball from Shelby Miller and he was expecting it 12th home run for reynolds and the Pirates right back in this game after that bouncer blast, nick Meares takes over rock. We saw him last on Sunday against the Mets and he picked up a win top of the order. Ronnie Simon, pick up his first pirate hit. Here’s a 10, swinging the ball line sharply into the left to center. A base hit for simon. Last time up. Brian reynolds hit a three run homer banning here. Just love a base hit, just chip away and a fly ball to right field, an American family field deep and it’s a two homer game anchor down. He’s hovered twice in two innings and now it’s 65. The Pirates within one here in Milwaukee. Brian reynolds is not going to want to leave Milwaukee after this ball game six to five. Brewers. Joey Ortiz leads off against Majin here and try to get some start against Carmen Magin in this sixth inning with a one run lead and he walked him good A B from Joey Ortiz. That’s ball four pretty at bat on the 10th pitch. He draws the walk. One of the things we’ve seen from these Brewers is when the other team lands a punch, they’ve got one stored up for them themselves and that’s a field corner, two runs will score. And Contreras comes through. Gonzalez has twice single to right field in this game. Each of his last two times up against two different pitchers, Gonzalez to short Ortiz spins. Look at him. He got to that baseball able to spin around instinctively knows where first base is. Hey, take it for granted, don’t do it. That is not easy. And Blake Perkins is the hitter Perkins 041 a walk and a hit by pitched. That’s up the middle of base hit Perkins hit number 10 for the Brewers pitched by Nicholas missed down low. He walked him. It’s just a broken record of continuously fantastic plate appearances. Base hit an RBI a walk to run scored for Joey Ortiz towards the middle and a base hit Perkins scores Siegler trying to get the third, the throw there late Ortiz follows. He’s at second base. It’s an RB I single by Ortiz. He goes to second on the throw and the Brewers had run number 931 misses high five pitch walk to Frelick who’s on base for the fourth time this afternoon and the bases are loaded. So it’s Contreras two at bats with run scoring hits and he walked him 1/4 RB I in the game for Contreras make it 10, 5 bases still loaded with two outs for Jelic Yelly. One for four. Ortiz is in Felix’s in Contreras to third. The Brewers have hung a dozen on Pittsburgh. Here’s your knockout punch right there for christian. Jelic. These guys are something and they’ll put the ball in the right arm of Tobias myers 10th game in the big leagues. Brewers trying to win their 12th in a row. Tobias Myers kicks and deals for the Brewers and it’s burger time in Milwaukee. What a run for these guys, these guys have turned this season around, offense, defense pitching. It’s been magical.

  1. This was some of the worst umping I’ve seen. It’s like Angel Hernandez came back from the proverbial grave to curse baseball again in the form of Bill Miller.

  2. Just like the Packers archived a 12-0 record in the 2011 NFL season since the Brewers’ undefeated 12-0 record in the month of August including their 12 game winning streak got my attention as a Brewers and Packers fan.

  3. Cmon now, crying about umpiring You've just gotten beat 26 to 5 these past two games. Not because it was so unfair but because your team frankly isn't that good. Keep it real, I'm a Phillies fan but as far as I'm concerned, the Brew crew are gonna be tough to beat no matter who plays them. They really make pitchers work and that leads to a lot of quality at bats which translates to scoring a lot of runs😎

  4. Not a fan of either team, but if you’re a Brewer fan, you gotta be worried the last six postseason they won one playoff series a great regular season team not a good playoff team. I hope they turn it around this year in the playoffs for their fans

  5. Idk man I just don’t see the brew crew losing 4 games out of a 7 game series this year. Only time will tell the pressures gonna be on come late September
