  1. 6th Astro to earn a save this season! 2025 truly the year of all hands on deck

Our run allocation committee dominated this series

  2. Abreu is now 9 for 9 with a 0.00 ERA in 9th inning save situations in his career. He’s better than at minimum 20 other current closers. Sucks for Hader to get hurt but we will be fine in the 9th inning without him.

  3. SERIES WIN!! Thank you HB, Pena, Yainer, Sousa and Abreu! That was one stressful game. Now go other orange team!

  4. Three straight series dubs after our last series loss and a nice rebound after what happened last night. Always nice to go into an off day with in win.

Whatever happens with the Mariners/Orioles, this division is still ours for the taking. For the moment, we’re back in 1st. We have what it takes to finish on top.

  5. Honestly, I’m not too concerned about our closer situation with Abreu. It’s the 7th and 8th innings that concern me, but if Sousa can keep it up, then I’ll be comfortable

But man. It is REALLY hard to complain about being 3-1 in series post-ASB. I just need to see a notification of Jake and Yordan returning to have full hope restored

  6. To all the doomers who were crying end of the world yesterday, this team has won it’s third consecutive series. This team is not cooked. Was it pretty? No. But wins and losses all count the same no matter by how much. This team now has 16 games left in the month of August, and only 3 of them are against teams over .500. Now is the time for this team to go on a heater of their own while the M’s have to go play the Phillies and Mets on the road (yes the Mets have been bad, but they’re not really as bad as they’ve looked). The division is still very much in play. We take care of us, and let the chips fall where they may. Go Stros!

  7. I switched over to the Orioles game and Rodriguez immediately hits a fucking triple

  8. Wins are fun.

We did a lot right. Solid pitching performance and Abreu handled the traffic well.

Our batting lineup still seems to cruise through the early to middle innings a bit at times. We let Buehler off with some easy innings, but we applied the pressure and got the runs when we needed them.

Nice day off tomorrow which our bullpen will appreciate.

Garcia also pitched 4.2 very nice innings in Sugar Land. 77 pitches, 6 Ks, gave up one run on a balk.

  9. I peeked in their sub earlier and their mods sticked a note telling them to stay out of our sub. Called us snowflakes lol. I got a good laugh out of that.
