Pirates vs. Brewers Game Highlights (8/13/25) | MLB Highlights
Hottest ticket in town, the Milwaukee Brewers, the hottest team in Major League Baseball, looking for a series sweep against the Pirates and looking for their 12th consecutive victory. Couldn’t imagine a better start for Woody after being on the injured list almost two years. He’s been outstanding. Last time against the Mets, seven innings, three hits, two runs. Only needed 79 pitches to get through those seven innings. He had eight punch outs. Ronnie Simon, 25 years old from the Dominican Republic. Off the end of the bat, Seagler feels it and he will throw out. Simon, one up and one down. Early contact against Brandon Woodruff. Horowitz one for four last night and it’s popped up. This one is going to be playable. Shallow right. Freelick is there and makes the catch. Two away. And that’ll bring up Brian Reynolds. So there’ll be four Pirates including the first three in the order that bat left-handed against Woodruff. Lefties are hitting just 132 against him. There’s a walk. Putting a two out man on for Fam. So here is Fam. 260 on the year. Five home runs. 33 driven in. Cracks this one into left center field. And over to cut it off. Perkins. Tommy Fam continues his surge against Brandon Woodruff. And Gonzalez has never faced Woodruff, but look what he’s done last 11 games. 362. Ground ball off of Woodriuff’s glove to Ortiz on the backand throwing to first. Yes. Something’s going right in Milwaukee. 163 it goes. And Woodruff puts up a zero in the first. Mitch Keller looking to play stopper in this ball game. Making his 25th start. Yell. Andrew Vaughn. Bryce Terang here against Keller at a one two three first. One two called third strike sinker. It was up and Yelich is letting Bill Miller know that that was up. Christian not happy about it. Vaughn hitting 243 on the year to center field. Suinski back over his head and off the wall. Vaughn hustling for second. He is in with a double. Just missed a homer. Swinging the ball flared to left. Fam will come on a step or two and make the catch for the second out. Two away and Blake Perkins is coming to bat. High ball. Fam and Sinsky. And it’s fan double and Vaughn is stranded through two. It’s nothing nothing in Milwaukee. Mitch Keller’s back to work. Still no score as we begin the bottom of the third with Seagler getting the start at third base today. Ground ball right back up the middle of base hit. Seagler leads off with the single. A slight bobble. Here’s the throw to second base. Seagler’s in. Taking advantage of every little inch. Those are the kind of plays the Brewers make better than any team in Major League Baseball. Here’s Ortiz. Ground ball right side. That is a productive atbat from Joey Ortiz as Seagler ends up at third. Now let’s see if Sal can get Anthony Seagler home. And a base hit up the middle. One- nothing Brewers. Sal Freelick drives in the first run of the game. First pitch, breaking pitch. And with the infield in, no chance for anybody to get that. Got to be hit right at an infielder when they’re in like that. Collins is the reigning National League player of the week. 3-2 runner goes. Swing and a miss. Barks throw to second base is into center. Freelick gets up and stops. Stolen base for Sal Freelick. He’s in scoring position for Contraras and he takes ball four. Sets it up for Yelich. Two on, two out. And all of a sudden the pitch counts climbing for Mitch Keller. Yelich into shallow right. That’s a base hit. Felic is going to come around and score to third goes Contraras. Two nothing Brewers in a big two out runscoring single and that is hit sharply but right at Gonzalez. That one stung his palm. Brewers get a couple of runs. Crack the score column first with a pair in the third. One out for Blake Perkins. Three for 16 on the home stand for Blake. 3-1 pitch. Call the ball again. Now ball four and Perkins is aboard. Joey Ortiz productive team at bat in the third. There he goes down low. Barks throw to second base is late. That’s a heck of a throw, but late right on the bag through the hole. A base hit. Perkins sent around third. He’ll score. Another two out RBI from Joey Ortiz. And another breaking pitch. Keller has made some mistakes with that pitch today. Now Freelick drives the first pitch to deep right. Back goes Simon. track and it’s off the wall on a hop. Around third comes Ortiz. He will score. No relay to the plate as Freelick rips a runcoring double. Brewers all of a sudden leading four to nothing. Bottom of the order has been really good today. Couple of hits, a walk, two runs scored. Collins down the left field line. A fair ball and into the corner. Freelick scores. Collins trades places with him. Five nothing. Three consecutive base hits for the Brewers with two outs. Three consecutive hits to drive in runs and a five to nothing lead. Contras a BB in the left. Here comes Collins. Throw from FAM is late. Three straight RBI hits this one. William Contrarus through the left side. It’s 6 nothing Milwaukee. And into the ball game for the Milwaukee Brewers. Shelby Miller number 55. He’s having a spectacular season. and 10 saves on the year. 188 erra, 180 opponent average. Ronnie Simon’s third pirate at bat. And there’s Ronnie Simon with a base hit to start here in the fifth. His first pirate game. Here is Spencer Horowitz. Here’s the pitch high and away and a walk to Horowitz. He’ll advance that way here in the fifth inning. When the game presents opportunities, now Shelby May is focused on one thing and that’s getting ahead of the count here with Brian Reynolds. Reynolds with a drive to right field to the wall and clear the deck. Cannonball coming. A big swing from Brian Reynolds. His 12th and it’s six to three. Brian Reynolds got a first pitch breaking ball from Shelby Miller. And I think he was expecting it. 12th home run for Reynolds. And the Pirates right back in this game after that Bowser blast. Nick Mirs takes over Rock. We saw him last on Sunday against the Mets and he picked up a win. Top of the order, Ronnie Simon picked up his first pirate hit. Here’s a 10. Swinging a ball line sharply into the left to center. A base hit for Simon. Last time up, Brian Reynolds hit a three-run homer. Banning here. Just love a base hit. Just chip away. And a fly ball to right field in American Family Field deep. And it’s a two homer game for Bray. Anchor down. He’s homered twice in two innings. And now it’s 65. The Pirates within one here in Milwaukee. Brian Reynolds is not going to want to leave Milwaukee after this ball game. Six to five Brewers. Joey Ortiz leads off against Majinski here. Try and get something started against Carmen Majinski in this sixth inning with a oneun lead and he walked him. Good AB from Joey Ortiz. That’s ball four. Gritty at bat on the 10th pitch. He draws the walk. One of the things we’ve seen from these Brewers is when the other team lands a punch, they’ve got one stored up for them themselves. And that’s a fair ball down into the right field corner. Two runs will score and Contraras comes through. Yeah, how about that? My goodness. Gonzalez has twice singled to right field in this game. Each of his last two times up against two different pitchers. Gonzalez towards short. Ortiz spins, fires. Got him. Look at him. He got to that baseball able to spin around instinctively. Knows where first base is. Hey, take it for granted. Don’t do it. That is not easy. And Blake Perkins is the hitter. Perkins 041. A walk and a hit by pitch. And that’s up the middle. A base hit. Perkins. Hit number 10 for the Brewers. Pitch by Nicholas. Missed down low. He walked him. It’s just a broken record of continuously fantastic plate appearances. Base hit and an RBI. A walk, two runs scored for Joey Ortiz towards the middle and threw a base hit. Perkins scores. Seagler trying to get to third. The throw there late. Ortiz follows. He’s at second base. It’s an RBI single by Ortiz. He goes to second on the throw. And the Brewers had run number nine. 3-1 misses high five pitch walk to Freelick who’s on base for the fourth time this afternoon and the bases are loaded. So it’s Contrarus last two at bats with runc scoring hits and he walked him a fourth RBI in the game for Contraras. Make it 105. Base is still loaded with two outs for Yelich. Yelli one for four. Line drive. Base hit. Ortiz is in. Felix in. Contraras to third. The Brewers have hung a dozen on Pittsburgh. There’s your knockout punch right there for Christian Yell. Well, these guys are something. They’ll put the ball in the right arm of Tobias Meyers. 10th game in the big leagues. Brewers trying to win their 12th in a row. Tobias Meyers kicks and deals. Struck him out. 12 in a row for the Brewers. And it’s burger time in Milwaukee. Wow. Oh, what a run for these guys. The way these guys have turned this season around. Offense, defense, pitching. It’s been magical.

I asked my dad if this was like 82. That team had multiple hall of famers. This team is truly a bunch of average Joes on a single objective

FIRE UP THOSE GRILLS, GEORGE!
I'm very excited for the people that get burgers!!! What a day!!
This umpire had his zone all over the place. Same pitch would be a ball then later a strike then back to a ball. No consistency at all
Man I miss good old GW…
Reminds me of the 87 Twins. They had a huge win in early August and never looked back
Surprised Murph didn't have a burger in his pocket to celebrate 😂
5 RBI’s with two swings is crazy
Keep your burgers. Four straight series sweeps 🧹 I love it
Awesome job Brew Crew! Reynolds always has his way with us, otherwise, I don't worry too much about the lineup. The guy literally has more career hits against us than any other team and has a lifetime batting average of .317 going into this game.
Let’s go
I was there. It was electric
Here we go Brewers, here we go!
Cards fan here 😅, I hope they can pass the 2rd &. Represent the NL Central 😅
I haven't seen a team this dominant in a loooong time

GO BREWERS!!!!
This team is like the 82 team. A coach that let's his players play and be themselves. A bunch of blue collar kids having fun.
I really appreciate that you use broadcasters from both video and audio teams AND from both teams' broadcasters. Thank you for making the game about all the players and all their fans.
Can't wait for them to give free pancakes!
From korea, you are the best!❤❤❤
