Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 13, 2025 MLB Season
It is a Wednesday night in downtown Houston as we welcome you to Dyken Park as the Astros wrap up a three-game series against the Red Sox. Winner of this game wins the series. Astros tied for first in the AL West coming in. Guess where we are? Not in the broadcast booth. We are up here in the Crawford boxes getting ready for a little baseball. Ready to go as we call this game from the Crawford boxes. And the first pitch from Hunter Brown is delivered for a ball off the plate, says Ryan Blakey, the home plate umpire. And we’re starts out tonight in a 3-1 count. Pops this one towards left and it’s in our general direction where Jesus Sanchez will make the play headed towards the foul line. We’ll be eventually to the only run allowed in the game. This ball hit through the middle, but right there’s Jose Altuve bobbles, recovers, and throws out his former teammate for the second out. Chaz McCormick hit him in the ninth inning. Ball sky deep to left center field. All the way back on it is Jesus Sanchez and he’ll make the play right in front of the warning track. Pñena hits it deep to left field towards us and it’s gone into the Crawford boxes. JP3 visits us here in the Crawford boxes for a one- nothing lead. Put a point on the board. It’s going to You’re fine. You’re fine. How about Sanchez trying to snap an 0 for 10, but he hits a line drive laser that is caught by Sharon Durant. That the Astros and runs scored with 66. That ball lofted in the shallow right going back is Raphaela. He’ll make the play. Alt’s off the bag, but the throw is wide and Alt is going to reach in his career 324 average. And he goes after the first one and delivers a single to the left. Here comes Altuve. No throw. Astros lead two nothing. He’s aggressive early and he got a cutter up in the zone that he could handle. Didn’t smash it. Maybe a little bit off the end of the bat, but that ball popped up in play. First base side in foul territory making the play. Romy Gonzalez. That’ll bif focals on. Ball shot to right down the line. It’s a fair ball towards the corner. Cam will dig it out of the corner. Story gets to second base with a stand up double. He’s a leadoff base runner for the Red Sox. Their first runner of the game. Ground ball towards Altuveet. He’ll flip it to Pena for one turn for the double play. That’s how you draw it up. Hunter Brown gets the double play ground ball with first and second. Nobody out. Tried to hold up and he does. That’ll be the second walk of the inning. That’s the ball into left field and it’s going to be down for a hit. The walks do come back to bite Hunter Brown as coming in to score. Runner goes again. The pitch is taken. That’ll be a stolen base without a throw for Raphaela. His 18th steal of the year. Got him. Hunter strikes out Wong for his first strike out of the night to strand a couple against Walker Beller. He faced him in Boston. shoots this one to right field. Back on it is Abrau and he puts it away. A couple of hard hit outs tonight that he was dealing with and they didn’t want to mess with that the next day so he got the day off on that Saturday game as Saddam Raphaela makes the play on Jacob Melton for the second out. Perfectly placed pitch at the bottom of the zone. Pñena goes down looking. First strike out for Beller. And we’re going to head to the third. Got him. Roman Anthony, we talked about his patience. He has looked at a couple of called strikes in this series against the Astros. Alex sends this one pretty deep to center, but playable for Jacob Melton. He’ll put it away. He doesn’t realize the pressure he has in this during the seventh inning stretch, does he? Oh, more on that later. Hunter picks up a strike out two in the inning. That one chopped towards the right side or towards the middle of the diamond. Story will make the play. Emotional there as well. Just to give you a little bit of a preview. That’ll be Sunday after the game. That’s special on Billy Wagner as Buer gets Keratini to end the third inning. Hits this ball sharply. Walker backhands it. Flips it to Hunter. And Hunter races pass towards short on one hop. Pñena will make the play to first and that’ll do it for the Red Sox in the fourth inning. Two hits, two left on Astros lead two to one. So much fun to be around. Oh, Tapper towards third. Bregman getting challenged and he makes the bare hand play and a pick at first. What a play on both sides. We’ve seen Alex make that play hundreds of times on the ground. Story to his left makes the play. Cam retired for the final out of the inning. Three ground ball outs for Walker Buer who was set who has settled in since the first. Got him. Good breaking ball. Hunter Brown picking up a strike out of Anthony for the second straight time. Bregman hits it high in the air to center field. Pretty well tagged but to the deepest part of the ballpark and Jacob Melton puts it away for the final out of the inning. that one well but as plumber said to straight away center now Pñena towards the backhand of Story. His offbalance throw is low. Romy Gonzalez. So two quick outs and here’s Jesus Sanchez. Sanchez shatters his bat but hits it towards second and just like that the Astros are out of the inning. Hits that ball towards right coming in. Cam Smith has time to get under it and will make the catch. No chance for Durant to go anywhere. That’s the first out of the inning. Hits that ball to the right side. Another chance for Hunter to practice a three to one put out. There’s two away. Ground ball right side. Walker’s there. Hunter covers for a four time tonight and gets through the sixth inning on a three to one put out for the second straight out. into right field. Coming on to make the play is Willard Abrau out to retired for the first down as he drills one high and deep to left field. All the way back and gone. Ger Diaz a two-run home run with two outs in the six. And the Astros now up four to one. Oh, out here with the folks. I need me a yonder bomb and I got it. Little check swing and it’ll be caught in the air by Romy Gonzalez to end the inning. Ground ball to short. Pñena will flip it to Altbe for one. The turn in time for the double play. Hunter avoid this situation. But that ball grounded right to Jeremy who attacked it. Gave a good flip to Aluve and a strong throw gets Raphael. A big double play the Astros infield behind Hunter. Got him. Three straight sliders and that’ll do it for the Red Sox in the seventh. Hunter Brown for Jacob Melton to lead off the seventh inning. On the ground, Bregman down to the ground after he backhands it and makes the play on Chaz for the first out. Self into pretty important role in that pen. He really has. Bought into right. Your brau will make the play for the second out. Muffin didn’t have anything to show for it. on the ground to short. Mats will have a one, two, three inning as Story puts it on the money for the final out. West to east. It’s a little more north to south with it. Ground ball played by to his left and Raone throws out the opposing third baseman for the first out of the inning. Get that slider across the plate and get some soft contact. There you go. Beautiful pitch by Souza going across the plate after throwing some pitches in. Got him. Great job by Bennett Susa striking out three of the four batters he faced and he got all four players. Look at you guys. You and Marwin. Well, we’re not going to get visited by Alt on this swing as he breaks his bat and Bregman throws him out. Who wants it? The catcher is being called off and the first baseman Romy Gonzalez calls off Conor W. in the air to center. Jiren Durant will put it away for the final out of the inning. That ball into center field and that is down for a hit or left center where Maurice Uduban makes the play. So the Red Sox will bring the tying run to the plate here with nobody out in the ninth. In the air, shallow center. Pñena’s got it under control. Infield fly rule in fact is invoked. Foul tip caught by Yer. That’ll be a big second out. Raphaela goes down. There’s a strike. [Music] [Music] Yeah, it’s already touched 101 in this inning. Why not try it again right here? Got him. Slider. Slider ends the game. Brian Abrau pumps his chest on his first save of the year. And the Astros take two out of three against the Red Sox, winning four to one tonight. That is a good series win against a team that swept you on the previous road

Playing Buehler alone should get Cora fired… he’s been god awful this season
sox offense is terrible
we wonby🤘🫡
I was there it was electric!
Ese piche habridor cada vez que picha perdemos fijense
Lets go Houston lets hope seatfle loses
Buehler's past his prime, and this should be his last season. The '25 Sox were never meant to be among the elite, not by a long shot, and this is completely intentional as this ownership continues not to bring in top talent time and again at crucial times!
The young core is promising, but this team lacks veteran depth, especially elite starting and bp arms.
The playoffs will be interesting though. I see the Dodgers and Brewers in the NLCS and the Blue Jays and Tigers in the ALCS.
never seen a team swing at bad balls like the sox
Go Astros!
Abreu looked like he belonged as the closer…goes to prove that the 'Stros can't do without a stout pitching staff in the close ones…
