Has a GM every failed a rebuild this badly? Genuinely curious. Colorado is the only one that comes to mind.
He’s been good in the minors. At least we’re giving a younger player with less appearances a chance so that he can possibly become a part of the team. We’ve been wanting them to bring up minor guys so we can at least attempt to get somewhere in the future, so we shouldn’t be unhappy about getting it.
I hate the nonstop crying about Cherington in this sub… but the last 4 years have to be the worst 4 years of pirates lineups in a row, no? I mean this is literally embarrassing. Not even embellishing the word here – this team is embarrassing.
Like I haven’t bought pirate merchandise in years because that P logo is embarrassing to wear 😂😂😂😂
I’m fine seeing Simon since he’s been playing pretty well in AAA & I believe he has some speed too (shouldn’t be batting 1st though). Seeing Triolo play everyday and Cam Devanney still playing in triple A is just stupid. And Jack Suwinski playing this much now over giving Nick Yorke a chance. Cherington is such an idiot.
We haven’t had a true leadoff hitter in what feels like my entire lifetime. I’m curious why this is your rock bottom moment lol
I’m not even sure what rock bottom is when it comes to the Pirates?
On one hand, at least we don’t have to see Davis go 0 for whatever. On the other hand, we have to watch Suwinski go 0 for whatever.
This is a rough lineup for sure but I prefer to see them at least giving a chance to some of the AAA players in a lost season than trotting out the same guys every day. They don’t have enough good players to be able to hide someone at the bottom of the order without having a sub .600 OPS at the top
Rock Bottom? Maybe if Henry was catching we still had Hayes at 3rd. That’d be a contender for worst lineup in pirate history.
Either way I took the under. I’m confident.
I don’t mind the fact we’re giving this guy a chance with Cruz on the IL for a bit. Having him lead off, though??? There’s no real structure with the lineups anymore
At this point, what could it hurt? Bring in the B team from the minors and let them get some experience. Bring ‘ em all up.

This is my first year not following the team daily. Is that lineup the worst in the league? That looks like the OPS of a 42-120 team.
I do not have the time or energy to care about the Pirates day to day lineup at this point in the season
This guy will hit three home runs and then sit for three games. nothing really matters.
Someone tell Nicky he won’t be traded to the Yankees this year.

Ikf has a nice thing going. Racking up years to qualify for that magnificent pension. Marvin Miller deserves a special hof room as the goat. Pham doing the same. If I were in their position, that would be my strategy. Get those 10 years in for full benefits.
