Julio Rodríguez helps REBUILD home for woman in the Dominican Republic ❤️ (feat. Vic Blends)
[Music] I had my friend Big Blends. He was like trying to find like a kid to make a story like in the Dominican Republic in the city of Puerto PLA. I was waiting with a few of my friends until he texted me where he found somebody to to like cut their hair and all that. And once he sent a message to us, I remember we just started walking. And when we got there, I remember just seeing like Vic uh, you know, talking to to this little kid, you know, cutting his hair, like kind of sharing his stories, kind of like what he does. After a while, I noticed like this old lady that came by, you know, kind of questioning like who we were and what we were there for because we were kind of at his at her front yard. And when I noticed, I start I started talking with her. I told her I started telling her like what what we actually do and like, you know, that we try to help people sometimes. And like that’s what Vic was there for kind of sharing their story like to you know see if we can find some help for the kids somehow. When I said that to her I was like okay like you guys help people then come take a look at this. We started walking to this house you know and like we walked in and you know that’s when you know I got I got to talk to Agriina is her name. you know, she started telling us the story and what happened with the flooding in Puerto Plat. There was a lot of rain and all that, you know, you know, it was a very it was a very like, you know, tough moment. I would say, you know, to realize, you know, that she was living in those conditions and wow, [Music] you know, that’s when, you know, after we start, we stopped talking, that’s when we decided like, man, like I cannot leave this place and not do something about it. I feel like God is going to punish me. He brought me here for a reason, you know, out of the completely blue. And you know, to be able to met that lady over there, it was a very special moment for me. I mean, at the beginning, you know, she was a little skeptical because she didn’t know me and like, you know, there’s always a lot of people that say that they’re going to do things and never really do it or just kind of say it just to say it. And like, you know, I gave it reassurance. It’s like, no, like we’re going to do it. You know, like uh thankfully like a good friend of mine, he’s from Puerto Prada, too. And like he knows a lot of a lot of people over there. And as right that same day, like he called somebody that was like a like a contractor type of thing, you know, and like he started seeing the house that same day and like kind of said the things that they were possible to do or that the house needed and like I was like, you know, I told, you know, my the name of my friend, his name is Brian. I told Brian like, “Hey, like we got to do this.” You know, we got to do this. Like we came we came here in a very special and organic way. And it’s like, you know, God brought me here for a reason. Like we we have to do it. From that point and on like she started seeing like things moving and you know we got it done fairly quickly which it was really really fun and I remember like just kind of the look on her face when things actually happened. You know it was a very special moment. We we finished the house. I remember getting on the phone with her and like talked for a while and just like saw her happiness how she felt after you know she actually had her house remodeled and all that after you know all the things that happened to her like how she felt like helpless in the way and like you know being able to help her. It definitely, you know, it definitely was a good moment and I just kind of seeing her after I talked to her that time. It happened during the season too like like we did the remodeling and all that. I couldn’t go back to Pto Plata. I’m looking forward to go this off season and like I like I told her like just get a get a cup of coffee and just hang out with her and that with that it will be enough for me. I know there’s a lot of people in need, you know, in many different ways, you know, like I love, you know, let’s say my town. I love to give back with my with toys, baseball equipments, help out with the with sports and all that. But, you know, this was a completely different area of need. And, you know, I feel like it’s so important to me to be able to help out because I have so much opportunity, you know, so much opportunity. And I just feel like I live I I love to live a very simple life, but at the same time, also there’s a lot of people that they are in need in many different areas. And I feel like I will always try to help in in whatever it is that I can help. I will always try to lend a hand because I just know that there’s so many people in need. And I was I was a person in need at some point in my life and you know God blessed me with with talent to play this sport and you know with a lot of things to share for for other people. So I feel that’s why it’s important to me and that’s why I want to continue to do it.

Let's go thats what a real man do Seattle mariners style much love
The Seattle Mariners are a poverty franchise with zero rings and zero pennants.
God bless Julio! The joy for doing this i bet it's priceless. Follow your calling.
That’s crazy old people living like that. One thing about it though, them Hispanic grandmas don’t play hahah they are direct and blunt and will say it how it is.
That’s a good dude, unfortunately though there is WAY TOO MANY in need and one man can’t help everyone.
Love this story. This is the story and actions of a real man! Using his power for GOOD for those who need it. Seeing the need and taking action. This world needs much more of this!
