Didn’t even make the latest pitcher power rankings. Shameful
“Doomers” is to r/Astros as “Woke” is to Fox News
Typical season. Every team has good and bad streaks. Seattle was up by 7 games in June. Stros up 7 in July. Currently, Stros in a little slump while Seattle couldn’t lose, until yesterday- two game losing streak). Stros have just finished playing several playoff teams while Seattle played sub .500 teams. The Astros have an “easier” schedule than Seattle the rest of August.
More interesting will be how quick our “replacements” coming back play at a major league level. It took Hunter a couple of starts to look like the good Hunter. Spencer has two substandard starts. Hopefully, third start has the kinks worked out. Question will be when all of our pitchers from the last couple of years come back – who is in the starting rotation, who’s in the pen, who’s left behind.
Yea, but Hader is gone. Doomers still alive and well. I can feel them pulling into the darkness.
He’s still young and young in his career, has room for improvement (control) and mastering other pitches, and is in contention for Cy Young. He sometimes takes a beating in the beginning but makes proper adjustments. I think he’s great and getting locked in. Ain’t no reason to doom over Hunter. And Okert, Abreu, and Sousa have shown bullpen resilience as of late.
Sparky was talking about how pitchers tend to get dead arm at around 100 innings every year. He said their arms would just feel fatigued and that it causes younger pitchers more issues. Idk if that was the issue but he was slumping around IP 110-120.
I was one of those doomers, I won’t deny, but only because I have just witnessed our starters get their elbows blown out so often now that seeing him do poorly immediately made me paranoid.
He had some traffic that ended with a double play and this is just peak for me.

Yes diesel I love you
No Decel for Diesel
Maybe I missed it but what is that hat. It is dope
Hunter is the least of my dooming concerns, of which I have plenty.
