Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 14, 2025 MLB Season
There’s Keshaw, American League player of the week. Last time he was at Target Field at a walk-off home run here on Sunday against Kansas City and Ober’s first fast ball is ball one to Colt Keith dhing tonight. Hopefully continues to add velocity on the fast ball. We’ll see hitters have to maybe cheat a little bit. It it was eye opening because he’s not a guy that chases and he pops it up and Eddie Julian clearly calling and catching and there is a ground ball weekly hit to Keith Shaw and a great start for Bailey over 11 pitch one two three first inning for the tall bearded nightmare but pretty good numbers on the season for Scooble punched to the right side but caught by Torqulson. and pull that somewhere to the left side. Sky two playable right center for Carrie Carpenter. Trying to make him work a little bit more. Being patient isn’t the worst thing on earth. There’s good contact to center field, but Bayz is there to make the play. He can look down and see where his foot is landing to know that he’s in line. And Riley Green strikes out for his major league leading 159th time. and grounded back to Bailey. Outstanding start for over. Six up, six down. And Lewis reaching here on a change up. And in from right comes Carpenter. That’ll make the play for route number one. And a double play ball to short. And Torres the return. And a 643 inning ending double play. And the Twins second is over. Waits for the one-two. This one queued to third. And Royce Lewis playing well off the bag. We’ve seen him check at that. We’ve seen him swing at it. Struck him out. Same spot with no walks as Julian unloads to right field and deep. Back it goes. And that is gone. The first lefty to take deep all year is Eddie Julian. And the Twins have a one- nothing lead. Slider double play. Outside of that, it’s been fast balls. That’s a fair ball down the left field line. Austin Martin on his way to second base. So backto back extra base hits. Line to short and into left field. Austin Martin will stop at third base as Buckton took a big turn. Buckton stays 3-2. Chopper weekly left side only played a first as Martin scores. RBI Ryan Jeffers his 41st RBI and that was back in 2022. Line to left center field over the head of Trey Sweeney. Byron Buckton scores another two out. Impactful swing from the rookie Luke Keshaw. It is three nothing at Target Field. Two on, two out. Scooles 01. Shop weekly back towards the mouth. School will flick to first and the inning is over, but the Twins, he’s been interrupted a couple of times with a couple of IIL runs with a hamstring injuries and adds two of those numbers. Another extra base hit to the right field corner and a two-out double from Carpenter. And this is now a one-run game. Riley Green a two out long home run. And the Tigers answer right back. Full count to Javier Bayz. Second 3-2 count he’s had. And that’s going to be a fair ball. And that will find the right field corner. So Javier Bayz a leadoff double. And the Tigers have the tying run at second base to begin the sixth inning. To right center field and this will be a tie game. Bayz will score. Keat on his 24th birthday drives in his 37th run and the Tigers answer back. It’s 3-3. This one rolled weekly. It’s Thunderberg Fielding has to throw and Julian kept the foot on the bag. Big pitch right now. 20 to right and playable. Trevor Lick will squeeze it and the inning end as Lee sends it in the air to left center field. Bayz back. Bayz jumps up and makes the play up against the fence to center and plenty of room for Austin Martin. Two down. Really good bounceback season after some rough years as a Yankee. Some good years as well as Brooks Lee throws him out. Nice job there for Michael Tan. Three up, three down as Buckton leads off. He swings and hammers into left field and deep back. It goes and at the wall it’s caught by Riley Green. Riley Green went up to the wall and caught that ball up against the padding. 234 here and strikes out Jeffers and there are two down. So we saw the blood and the cut as some light rain is falling here. And he’s taken a bunch of time in between. Ghaw check. Oh, and rung up at first base by Junior Valentine. And that’s out number three. Carpenter faced Cody Thunderberg. Thought this would be why to right center and Austin Martin was playing that direction into some higher lever spots. We’ve seen that fast ball tick up just a little bit. Slicing and it’s Martin this time in left center. It’s Keshaw. He’ll flip to second for the force on Torlson and the inning is over thanks to Kaw on Sunday. Got under it and Green makes the play. One away. Two now as Holton strikes out Lardic. Line to right center field in the gap and that’s going to roll. Lee to second. He’ll stop there. Winning run at second base. A ninth inning double from Brooks Lee. And now a base hit away from winning this ball game. Play shallow to left center field. Riley Green angling over and we play on. So the Twins had a chance. Roden flies out and more baseball coming up. He struck him out. 95 top rail popped up left field shallow. Racing in comes Rod and Allen will get there. Down and away in the hole. Backhanded by Fitzgerald. Long throw skipped and stretching and safe at first base is Bayz to right center and shallow. Here comes Austin Martin. He’s got it. And the Tigers do not score. The bunts it first base. Well done. And he’s tagged out. Check swing to first. Coming home is Roden. The throw the slide. He is out at the plate. So Torqulson gloved it, came home with the throw and Rhoden tagged out. He stays lined short and caught by Bayz and the Twins unable to score. So we play on 11th inning. way outside. Gets by Jeffers and Keith advances to third. This will be playable but deep enough to score a run. Lick the catch. Keith heading home. The throw from Lick is close but not in time. So the Tigers capitalize on the wild pitch to shallow right. Keshaw going out and over his head. Right side. Gasper will go second for one. The return throw from Fitzgerald. Double play. Deck again. The O2 to Jeffers. One out. Foul. Oh, Jeffers saying that hit the ground. It certainly looked like it did. Jeffer saying that hit the ground. And for now, John Bacon is saying that was a clean catch. This is not reviewable. There’s no way. You it up, man. And Rocco’s been thrown out and the hat comes off. He wasn’t happy with the strike zone early. If this ball hits the ground, it’s a foul ball. That did not happen. Tap weekly to short. It’s third. It’s McKinstry on the move. Close play and Khaw is out. Check swing. He went. Ball game over. And the Tigers rally back and beat the Twins 4-3 and 11.
