We got Major League Baseball on the board. We got WNBA action, a fivegame card on Friday. We’ve got uh week two NFL preseason action for me. And if you have, if you’re new to our channel, welcome. Let’s start making you some money with this matchup between the Houston Astros and the Baltimore Orioles. For the Houston Astros, it’s Fran Valdez listed as the starter in this one. While the Baltimore Orioles will counter with Brandon Young. And for Brandon Young, it was a rough outing last time out. It was three innings of six-run ball. Gave up six hits, had two home runs allowed in that game as well. This is just not a uh not a strong outing for Brandon Young. And that was even at home. And now you go on the road where yeah, Young has had some decent outings here and there, but he’s usually a forward ining three-run guy. And the problem for me with Baltimore is how poorly this team has been hitting. That could be a recipe for disaster. Now, the Orioles have not been as bad against left-handed pitching as they’ve been against righties in the month of August, but still hitting just 230 against left-handed pitching. And team OPS numbers are bottom 10. The isolated power numbers are not terrible. They’re actually pretty good. But that just tells me that the few hits that the uh that the Orioles are getting are have a chance at leaving the yard. They’ve been hit they’ve been hitting some uh some balls with hard contact. Now Franber Valdez getting the start for the Astros here in two starts in the month of August so far against the Red Sox and the Yankees on the road combined 10 um 10 runs, nine earned 11 and two/3 innings of work. But he also hasn’t allowed a home run in five straight starts. You look at Valdez’s numbers at home at Dyken Park this season and he’s got a 1.6 65 RA, a 5-1 record across 11 starts, a 202 opponent’s batting average. I just think that there’s just there’s it’s a tough spot for the Baltimore Orioles coming into this series. Yeah, like I said, they they were able to get the series win over the Mariners to start the week, but I just think that Framberald is just a different animal at home and just with how inconsistent this Baltimore offense has been has been over the course of the last few couple weeks, it’s just hard to really feel good about the position that they’re in. The Houston Astros still a respectable 258 batting average against righties in August. The team OPS numbers are just outside the top 10. Low strikeout rate at 17%. I think that the Orioles, excuse me, the the Orioles are in some trouble here. I think the Astros get it done. Give me Houston and that’s going to be my free pick.
