Carmelo Anthony believes the Nuggets gave Nikola Jokic #15 to erase his legacy. Jokic responds by saying he has wore #15 his whole life.

  1. Jokic was a second round draft pick. No one expected him to erase anyone’s legacy when he was given #15.

  2. He forced his way to New York the relationship ended badly. He doesn’t need his jersey retired in Denver. Sorry buddy THATS Jokic number now

  3. Melo wanted out, so he’s out. The Nuggets are not obligated to uphold his legacy as a former player. He only had one playoff run past the first round with the team (2009), and more credit could be given to Chauncey’s arrival via mid-season trade than to Melo’s overall performance. It was a heady play by DEN to cleanse itself of that era.

  4. Melo’s own fault. Tired of seeing players demand off teams while still feeling entitled to being honored by them.

  5. Melo had no legacy in Denver. Jokic made them champions! In Denver Melo was a cool player like Abdur Rahim was in Vancouver.

  6. Just to put it in perspective. When you play basketball in Europe or Blakans in this case, number on the jersey goes from 4 to 15, higher the number larger the jersey. That’s why he wears #15

  7. lol isnt his brand Me7o or whatever, just be happy with 7 and keep it moving, his 15 is merely a footnote

  8. One time i read a comment about teams having 1-15 numbered jerseys only for youth players. The higher the number goes the bigger it gets in size and that 15 was the biggest one so fat jokic probably got his jersey number like that 😂 He really thinks the nuggets predicted that a late round draft who got drafted during a food commercial will erase his legacy (he did)

  9. Tf you talkin about Melo

Jokic came in as a a 2nd rounder — no one knows who he will become.

What he like, change the jersey outta nowhere? Lol

  10. Ridiculous take! Who would’ve thought that a second round pick, announces his name during a commercial will be a superstar in the NBA right now? And it just so happen that the guy also wore #15.

And BTW, what legacy is he talking about? He erased it himself when he leaves that team and joined the Knicks!

Don’t get me wrong, Melo is a great great scorer, no doubt about it! But that’s it! He’s a scorer. A far cry from being a winner and a champion. 🤡🤡

  11. main character melo, i dont even think about that shit but im talking about it on a broadcast, they dont love you like that me7o, oh wait you wore 7?

  12. This type of comment alone proves why Melo wasn’t fit to be a superduperstar. He doesn’t rise above the situation, focuses too much on himself. It’s also why he couldn’t accept his decreasing role at the end of his career.

  13. Yeah, I get Melo feeling some type of way about the Nuggets, but he gotta stop dragging Jokić. They don’t love him like they love Joke, now he just looks bitter and delusional.

  14. Number 15 Jokic for Nuggets > Number 15 Carmelo for Nuggets.

Jokic dragged that team to the finals, while being regular season MVP. These old heads need to give it a rest

  15. Melo thinks he has a legacy in Denver which is the funny part

16-29 in the playoffs and forced his way out of town because his wife wanted to do reality tv in New York, build the statue

  16. Jamal Murray has a significantly better chance of getting his number retired over Melo

  17. As a Nuggets fan, fuck Melo. We hate your ass, you never got a homecoming because we hate yo ass.

Also Jokic was a second round pick that no one knew would be a star. There’s no way the nuggets had the foresight in Jokic’s rookie year to give him 15 to steal melo’s legacy.

    These are some dumb motherfuckers
