Will Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Have His Number Retired by the Edmonton Oilers? #Oilersnation #oilers

He might be the only player that gets his number retired who isn’t a Hall of Famer. Under 100 games now away from being uh number one all time in games played for for the Oilers in the first season. Yeah, he’s he’s about 11 games behind Ryan Smith. Nan Hopkins is at 959. Ryan Smith’s at 971 and Kevin Loe’s at 1,37. And that was with Kevin Low coming back at the end of his career to get a couple more a couple more games in. Yeah. So So by the end of next season, he’ll probably be 33 years old and will own the Oilers all time games played record. So, I mean that that that probably is the legacy right there. This is your all-time games played leader. He has to at least win a Stanley Cup for that. They haven’t done that yet. So, say he wins a Stanley Cup. He’s already top 10 in points. He’s seventh in points in 700. Pretty high in playoff points, too. He probably just ends up sixth all time cuz the top five in points are dry, Messier, Curry, McDavid, and Gretzky. They all have over a,000 points. He’s just going to hang out right below the superstars. Yeah. Right where he belongs. And his number will be retired. As my bold take.
