#DallasCowboys Fish Live: Unboxing Aikman; Trade Tolbert for Breece? Blue’s Clues

The Aman unboxing, the trade rumor that just won’t go away, and Blues clues TGIF. Thank god it’s fish. And Friday here on the Fish Report, 75,000 fish heads in Cowboy Nation cannot be wrong. As we hang out here every morning, 8 a.m. live and fish at 6, breakfast at fishnes. those three items on the Breakfast at Fishes menu for you. Let’s get right to it. Look what I got. It’s a box. It’s from Troy. You know, Aman named dropper. This is the eight bongs on the wall, by the way, for those of you who wake and bake. Aman, friend of the show and apparently a viewer of the show. uh one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, one of the greatest NFL players of all time, a gigantic civic leader in Dallas and in Texas, uh and in sports, and a hell of a guy. And he just sent me a package. [Music] That’s a beard scratcher. What? [Laughter] Uh, apparently the good people at 8, not uh not official sponsors of the program, although I drink the beer, they they admire the fact that I’ve worn out this hat. Worn out the original eight hat. So now I need a new eight hat. Oh, thanks, Troy. That’s item one, the unboxing. Item two. Uh, chat sports. Oh, Tom, I think came up with this themselves this time. The Bree Hall to Dallas idea is not new. That’s the trade rumor that just won’t go away. Again, rumor, report, media idea, whatever. The Jets are very much on record as saying, “We are not trading Bree Hall.” In fact, the new head coach, Aaron Glenn, called him after the draft and said, “Ignore what you’re reading. You got nothing to worry about. You’re good. We’re not trading you.” But he’s in the final year of his contract. They’re not trading him, but they’re also not paying him. They have Brillan Allen behind him. the uh the burly running back who could be in in theory who could be a full-time NFL runner. So that might be Bree Hall who’s got star quality. Former second round pick. He’s done some really he really has done some spectacular things when healthy. Uh if if he was fully healthy and the team was any good, Bree Hall might be a superstar. Casey Addison $5 pitch in. I love the hat and a comment about sugar that I’m sure she’ll appreciate. Although she’s not coming back till Sunday. If Bree Hall played on a good team and was healthy, I think he’d have superstar reputation. Instead, he’s kind of just viewed as just a guy uh who has underperformed. He’s on a Jets team that’s probably not going anywhere. and he’ll be out of there next year. So, all those things add up to this idea that, well, why don’t they just trade dump him? And I’ve argued about the Jet situation. He’s still on a cheap rookie deal. They don’t know they’re going to be bad yet. I might move him at the deadline, but I’m not trade dumping him. I’m not just moving him to move him. Give me something for him. if I was the Jets. Give me a lot of something for him. Give me something I need. Todd P, uh, a huge supporter of ours along with about 1,500 of you now. Uh, we’ve been doing this for two and a half weeks at fishportscowboys. And it’s an overwhelming success thanks to you, Todd Peterson. Uncle Fish, you’re my only source for all things Cowboys. We’re just glad to be somewhere on your map. That’s all I want to be somewhere on your map. Rodney O. Will Jerry respond to Denzel since he loves the soap opera? 100%. Uh, that’ll be a that’ll be a Saturday nighter with Jerry at AT&T Stadium, guaranteed. And it won’t be an argument. It’ll be an acknowledgement. And Jerry will ride the Denzel coattails and enjoy every second of it. even though he will be ignoring the idea that oh man look at the millions we made in PR by having Denzel on ESPN talking about us ignoring look at the whatever we lost by having one of our our most famous and loyal fans who has a gigantic following himself the number of people that might go you know Denzel you’re right I’m kind of sick of this who uh while I’m reading many of your comments, I always invite you, of course, and I know it ends up having us go zigzaggy around here, but we invite you to get in, get on, be good, and to bring something of intellect to the table, and to please hit the like button. Uh our our videos now between 10,000 and 100,000 people every time. So, there’s no reason that we can’t have 100 people, please hit the like button. Do it. Do it. Sean Hannah signed Parsons, please. I know. Bryce K fish, can we bring in Gilly? They make noise like they’re just not interested in that, which is maddening. If if Gilmore was is here, of course, you can’t bring him in the day before the Eagles game. If if Gilmore was here now, he would be starting at quarterback. You’d have Elim as a starter. He’d be the other starter and Bland would be in the slot. No question about it. Wookie, Uncle Fish, do you ever play Sugar Sugar by the Archies? Play it. I live it. So, what if you could and you’re the Jets and you you’re not giving up on being contender yet. You believe in Brillin Allen. You view Bree Hall as valuable but expendable and you could get something for him. That helps you. Carrie C. Uncle Fish Premium also a big helper at on our Substack. Allen didn’t do anything last year. Why would they trade Bree? Again, the the belief would be the move would be based on the belief that Brilen Allen can do things. That’s the idea. What if you could trade Jaylen Tolbert for Bree Hall? Now, we can pitch in there Jaylen Tolbert plus if you want to. If if the if you view Bree Hall as being a more valuable commodity than Jaylen Tolbert, fine. And a pick. They have one receiver there who can play and Garrett Wilson. And of course, he can play at a very high level. They have one. You and Jaylen Tolbert have somebody who I think we’ve talked a lot about. It’s not that Jaylen Tolbert’s not a good NFL player. It’s that we’ve discovered the ceiling and he has now been usurped by Cavante Turpin as the number three guy and there’s three other guys that are nipping at the heels of Jaylen Tolbert. So, we do a good job, I think, around here, and I know you appreciate that. We do trying to separate the rumor from the story, the fact from the idea. I said it last night, I’ll say it again today. I’m I know I’m a fish swimming upstream for some people. The Packers Parson’s idea. The idea is real. I believe it is. This one is purely media. Bree Hall for Jaylen Tolbert. And that’s okay. I think it’s I think it’s more than okay as long as we outline that. This is a media idea and it might be a good one. Bill Matrinko Tolbert is the only extra guy with trade value around here. Um, a backup offensive lineman might get you something, but what what gets you what gets you a starting running back? And listen, with all due respect to the guys in this roster, in my opinion, Bruce Hall is a better starting running back than anybody they have here. Uh, somebody points out, what about S Gardner? Yeah, they just they’re not trading him. They just gave him the the big bucks, the primo bucks. He’s not expendable there. He’s might be their best player. Bryce K. Uncle Fish, you’re the best in the business. Dan B, Cowboys Nation, smash that like button. JT Fish, I think Parsons of Green Bay is fake. I think his agents pointing stuff, but wait a minute. I I number one, I appreciate you guys aren’t killing the you guys aren’t killing the messenger. I’m not telling you Michael Parsons is getting traded to Green Bay. I’m telling you what the report suggested and then we’re breaking it down. But JT, here’s where I break off from you. If you’re suggesting that the agent has planted the story that the Packers are interested in trading for Parsons, that’s a story. That’s real. The agents agent’s a real person. Yeah. So anyway, the Cowboys in terms of expendable talent, they don’t have expendable talent at safety, quarterback, linebacker, pass rusher. Okay, so pass rusher and wide receiver. And I don’t want to trade a pass rusher or a wide receiver to get a six round pick. That’ do me any good. BJ, have I already given up on my Sanders? No. And he is uh supposedly going to play Saturday. I’m not giving up on Miles Sanders, but he hasn’t. And injuries have of course dinged him up a little bit as they so often have with him. Um, he can’t get up and over Gavvante. So, the question is, is Bree Hall better than Javvante Williams? And I think the answer is yes. JTU, Uncle Fish Premium, Uncle Fish, can you give us some insight when we can expect Diggs to play? He says, don’t put me on pup. Meaning he thinks he can play in the first four games. The Cowboys keep telling me we’re looking at mid-season, so I’m sticking with that. X-Man, don’t trade a pass rusher. I wouldn’t trade one for a pick. But would you trade a pass rusher for a an equally talented one technique nose tackle for equally talented starting quarterback? I would. Item three, and we bringing up running backs, Blues Clues. So, initially, Shotti said, “Wait and see on Jaden Blue, University of Texas speedster, fifth round pick, and somebody that Cowboy Nation very excited about. Wait and see.” Now, there’s an update. This is going to be a, and you don’t have these very often in the preseason, but here we are. This is going to be a game time decision. They’re going to get Jaden Blue out there on Saturday and we’ll be there of course at AT&T Stadium. 6 p.m. kickoff. Ravens in town and he’s going to test it in pregame. They really want him to play. The sooner that he establishes because he hasn’t established he’s an NFL player yet. the sooner he is established he’s an NFL player then the sooner can come the next step which is he’s a rotational running back and then could come the next step where he’s he’s he’s not big enough this and he’s not experienced that and what about pass pro and all that but this vision I don’t like the the Daryl Sprouls comparison that’s not good enough let’s let’s go with the Lions running back Gibbs comparison That’s the one he uses. That’s the one blue uses. But let’s get there first, step by step by step. And the first step is how’s that bruised heel working Saturday night at about 4:30 at the stadium. We’ll be there. We’ll monitor it. Then we will monitor all things Cowboys, of course, at cowboyscountry.com. Thanks, Troy. Thanks, Fish Heads and Cowboy Nation. Fish out.

  1. we don't need to trade for Breece…we have plenty of RB's. 3 ppl have yet to even see play. Mafah looks promising. we need a starting caliber CB and starting caliber DT. the defense sucks

  2. Fish, you seem to think that miles sanders will be the guy he was with the eagles 3 years ago
Carolina signed him for good money and he didn't do anything while chuba Hubbard was successful on the same team. Therefore I think we shouldn't expect much from sanders.

  3. Gotta ask yourself if you would trade Parsons for Mazi, Guyton, and Booker cause that is what your last 3 1st round picks have netted you. You would have to get a great player and multiple picks to make it worth trading him. What team out there has someone you would trade for that could also guarantee top 10 picks? Need to use that 30 million to add talent to this team not trade away your good talent, but with the front office history we will do neither.

  4. Troy is a classy guy. Nice thinking to look out for another one in Fish. /salute Cowboy FFL, even though Jerry loves trying to change that.

  5. Who cares what Denzel thinks ? ( i like his movies) just like i dont care about some movie stars politics.
What, because they're famous their opinion matters more ?
I prefer the opinions of fishheads , plumbers, carpenters, assembly line workers, ect.
    Go Cowboys.

  6. Why do Cowboys fans believe nonsense like this? The Jets, while not ran well, aren't dumb enough to trade Breece Hall for Jalen Tolbert.. But Cowboys fans are dumb enough to believe this is a possibility 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂

  7. While nostalgia can be enjoyable, excessive dwelling on the "good old days" can become a trap, preventing Dallas fans from acknowledging consistent issues of the present or demanding resolving problems or concerns of potential in the future.

  8. Here is what I would ask for for Micah two number ones in 26 two number ones in 27 two number twos in 28 a third in 29 a starting corner and starting defensive nose tackle take it or leave it

  9. Tolbert for B. Allen. Would be great to me. Allen looked really good last year when he got his chances. Hall they will not trade Hall for Tolbert.

  10. DAL will not sniff the playoffs this year. They should start a 3-year plan to get back to relevance. Get maximum for Parsons. Develop players. Fans stayed will DAL in the lean years when the early 90s dynasty was being developed. Remember the 3 – 12 year but feeling the potential?
