BREAKING NEWS! Miami Heat trade Haywood Highsmith to the Brooklyn nets 😱

So, we do got some breaking news, Miami Heat Nation, and we’re going to break down this trade. I’m currently at work, but I needed to get this video out because I’m completely shocked. So it says the Miami Heat have traded Haywood Highmith in a 2032 second round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for a protected 2026 second round pick. Now this is very very unfortunate because if you guys didn’t know Haywood Highmith is dealing with an injury, right? He probably wasn’t going to be ready for training camp and possibly could miss the beginning of the season, but he was important piece for this team. Now I know the reason why they did this trade. this move gets the heat under the luxury tax and they said they’re gonna try to do any way any move to get Kai Jones or not release Simone and they feel like moving off Haywood Heismith was the best option. Now I do think um Haywood Highmith did not have the best season last year. I will say that. But I still think he was definitely one of our top perimeter defenders and I thought he could have had a better year, especially if he just turned into not turn into a better shooter, but just improved his shot and a new season. No more drama and stuff like that. So, this tells me two things. They’re keeping Simone and they’re probably going to bring in Kai Jones as the backup center. They probably like what they seen so far. Um, he’s still got to go through training camp. He’s still got to go through preseason stuff like that, but that that’s what it indicates. And it also indicates that they weren’t bringing back Haywood Icemith. So, you know, we didn’t really get much out of this. We gave up a second round pick and got a 2026 second round pick. But hey, right, the Miami Heat are actively making moves if that’s what you want to, you know, go with and stuff like that. So, once again, let me know in the comment section what do you guys think. Now, it’ll be interesting to see though, does Brooklyn keep Haywood Highmith or does he go be a buyout candidate? And I hope he doesn’t because like I said, he’s still a very good player in my opinion defensively and wings are needed and I just don’t want him to ruin his career, sign with the Lakers and agency or stuff like that. Like we just don’t need that happening or the Boston Celtics or anything like that because when you look at the Brooklyn Nets, they’re a young team. They’re going to play their young guys. They’re not playing for anything, you know? And I’m not saying Haywood High Smith is going to be that guy that’s going to be like, “Well, I need to play this and that, whatever.” But I just don’t think he fits the timeline of it at all. So, if he does stay with the Brooklyn Nets, that’s unfortunate. If he does go to Contender, just don’t go to the Lakers. Don’t go to the Celtics. I’m completely fine. Where else you go? But, like I said, the Miami Heat were super focused on getting under the luxury tax. They finally did. They got rid of Haywood Icemith. Follow for more Miami Heat content.

  4. I’m not mad at this…got under the tax and bringing in a quality backup center….this team is getting younger and filled with guys that play well on both sides of the ball…i love Haywood but he was a liability on offense

  23. What the hell dude, we gave a second pick to only get a second-round pick swap. I'm tired of this front office; all they know how to do is give away picks and draft good. They should have kept Highsmith, and who cares if they owe tax? The owner is rich; he can afford it.
