This is right down the line and you’re looking to see if it’s going to hit the foul pole. I don’t know if it grazes it or it’s just I saw it looked to me like it changed direction when it got out there right in the corner. Mhm. [Applause] Bouncing ball to second. Rojos backs into the outfield grass and throws him out. Padres’s getting the board and the home run from Oriano. chases a fast ball that’s riding up there by his chin. But the Dodgers score twice and take the lead after three innings. Two to one. Kind of a hole offensively. He’s chased hits, swung more as a result. Pokes this one to right field. Tatisel will pick it off for the first out of the fourth. And then because his body doesn’t feel good and his swing doesn’t feel good these last couple seasons. Chopper to third. Bets calling. He’s there. That’s the inning. Dodgers by a run to the bottom of the eighth. [Music] Got him. Breaking ball. Change up. Pass. Grounded to short and Bogarts low throw but a pick from Arise. Strike three up the 102 to finish off a 1238. Fasten those seat belts tight onto the ninth. 3-2. Some of those changes Kirstson was talking about. First year with the Dodgers and he strikes out Bogarts for the first down of the ninth and his first save opportunity. Another 3-2 into right center field. That’s down for a base hit. Can Pahz or can Dean hold him to a single? He can. Justin Dean guns that ball in and two. Got him. Two out in the ninth. That loosened 50,000 for Merrill who even when he’s healthy, not a great fast runner. Then he seemed to roll his ankle coming out of the box as well. Tying run over there. Drier to O’Harn with a 1-1 pitch. Lifted to center field. Dean is there. The Dodgers are back in first. They’ve taken the first game of this highly anticipated matchup for the Padres’s. The first of six over 10 days goes the way of the Dodgers.
