New York Yankees Highlights: vs St. Louis Cardinals | 8/15/25
[Music] [Applause] [Music] Maybe it’s in honor of my school Northwestern. Maybe. Judge hits it hard to short on the backhand win. Zings it across. Gisham will score. Chisum rocks that to right field and that is gone. a laser out to right for Jazz Chisum Jr., his 21st of the season. And the Yankees have put up a three spot in the first. You know, I never understand why pitchers pitch jazz in because he can turn around anyone’s fast and he’s really good at keeping it fair cuz he stands fairly close to the plate. Might get him going, too. They did turn him loose. There you go, Joe. base hit left field. Dominguez swinging 3 and 0 supporting Joe Gerard’s Emmy reel and it’s 4 nothing Yankees. Yeah, his last game he’s really struggled. He’s 0 for13 I think one for 19 and you get a chance where you know what’s coming. But what do we talk most about? Pizza. Yeah. Line to right. Oh, nice sliding grab. Cabayro flashing the leather. One down. Well, the Yankees defense has been outstanding in this game. The two double plays. We’ve seen two excellent plays by Bellinger. Now you look at Caviierro who’s a shortstop coming in on this ball making a nice sliding catch. This ball is sinking and going away from him. It was like glitter. That one over first. That’ll be a base hit. Here comes Nbar around third. Mason on his way to second with a double. The Cardinals are on the board. Well, this is Mason Win, I think, at his best covering with two strikes. He’s one of the better two strike hitters a year ago. Chevy pit track change up. This ended up away and just covers it right. Gets it out there, slashes it right over Bellinger. Swing driven down the right field line. That is fair into the corner. One run scores. Here comes Pahus. He’s got the red lightly. Oh, Victor Scott with an RBI double. That makes it a two-run game. Well, Victor Scott showing off the lightning fast hands inside. This is 98 mph. A cutter. It’s up. It’s in. It’s on the plate. No balls, two strikes. That one’s going to get away. That one’s going to score. Passes. We got a one-run game. So, the Yankees in the seventh inning are self-destructing. clean things up defensively also, but offensively stroking it. That one off the end of the bat and what a great catch by Victor Scott. I can’t wait to see the metrics on this baby. He ran forever. Well, your Central Bank replay, you know that Victor Scott II has gamechanging speed, but the jump is what made that play happen. It’s an amazing story. And Poso rips that to left. Oh, what a catch. Bellinger off his shoestrings and ending the game. Yankees win it 43. Well, Belly, I know he didn’t have a lot of hits, but his defense was so important. Involved in three double plays, a great c. If he doesn’t catch that and he gets by, Bozo’s on second base. He doesn’t run very well, but the jump and the extension and the length that he has allows him to be a great defender in so many places. Anticipation. What a great play. What a great night for Cody Bellinger. And Bedar locks down another save. The Yankees hang on to win the opener. [Music]

No te da verguenza?
Once again, the Yankees win the game depending on home runs, not just contact with the ball for a hit in the field. When a dominant pitcher controls them, like in the last game against Minnesota when they couldn't hit home runs, manager Aaron Boone doesn't have key plays, key movements to put the team to win. If that's what they think they're going to go to the finals, they're very wrong. Aaron Boone had a lucky hit in years past as a baseball player, hitting a home run against Boston against Tim Wakefield in 2003. That was a lucky hit, and the ball must be played wisely, not just with luck. Aaron Boone, please resign, you are a disgrace as a manager. You don't have the courage to make decisions at key moments. Aren't you ashamed?
