Andy Reid: ‘There’s a Lot of Things We Can Learn From’ | NFL Preseason – Week 2 Press Conference

All right. Um, so we had a a few injuries uh here um as we went and we’ll just see how they turn out. Jack Cochran knee, Nazi had a shoulder. Um, and again, we’ll have to see with the MRIs and the things that go forward here. Uh, null Williams had the concussion, Mike Edwards hamstring, uh, Felix had a hamstring. So, um, and then Omar came out and then went back in. But I I thought um you know this is this is a a good place to get some of your young guys some reps here. They always have good crowds. Um and it’s a great environment out here to to see what you’ve got. And so a lot of these guys are battling to make the team and and we were able to get them in there so we can evaluate them. And I thought this game here that was most important. the ones will get a little bit more time uh next week as as we go forward or on the Thursday game. So, uh but again, there always some good things, but there’s a lot of things we can learn from in here, too. So, that time’s yours. Andy, just your reference to the ones that this is more about next week, but do you expect Patrick sat tonight? Is he likely to play next week? Yeah, there’s a I’ll give you all that as we get closer by, but there’s Yeah, there’s a chance. We get a little more work with him. And you were talking about the evaluations tonight. What did you did you get a chance to lock in a little bit on on Simmons at all again during Yeah, he got he got a few plays and it looked like the the one offensive line did a pretty pretty decent job. I thought Menchi played had a good game, too. So, um I thought he handled things well, made some nice throws and checks and all that stuff. So, any any impression of Kingsley tonight? Yeah, I think the offensive line did okay. I I think I mean I want to take a look at it and see what we had but um I thought they did did okay that group you know and Skye’s night I guess changed dramatically with the punt returns you had he struggled what yeah listen he just he had a couple drops that’s not like him you know he’s a lot better than that so he had the three kind of bobbles and drops in special teams and with throws and then he came back for the big play so I’m I’m proud of him for that, but um you know that’s it wasn’t his best night up to that point. Um one thing that struck me as unusual anyway and I suppose for you it looked like Drew Lock came over and found you as you were leaving the field. Did you did you have a nice exchange with him and unusual as Yeah. No, I did. I mean, you know, obviously with his dad and all the things that went on there, he was getting bombarded with things, but he wanted to make sure that he, you know, I sent him a little message and that he got it and he appreciated it. So, he’s a good kid. Okay. Thanks, coach. All right.

  1. 1. Suamataia did not have a good night. He got tossed like a ragdoll again.
    2. Skyy Moore of course went full Skyy. "He had a couple drops, that's not like him?" LOL okay… That's PRECISELY like Skyy Moore. Dude couldn't catch an STD at ASU.
    3. The defense looked like a complete joke, and now three more injuries to already thin positions. ONL looks bad, FAU is a huge bust for a 1st round pick (and now has a hammy), and the entire defense couldn't dream of stopping the run tonight.

I know it's preseason but that was a total embarrassment.
