New Orleans Pelicans TRADING Zion Williamson To The Philadelphia 76ers? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the New Orleans Pelicans be trading away Zion Williamson to the Philadelphia 76ers this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Philadelphia 76ers receiving Zion Williamson, Carlo Movic a 2027 first round pick and a 2029 first round pick and the New Orleans Pelicans receiving Paul George. So yeah, this trade to me is a bit of a headscratcher because Paul George just isn’t the player that he once was. And if you’re trading away all of this, you know, Zion, of course, being the main stay or the main focal point here, plus draft capital, you know, you’re getting rid of Paul George, you’re getting that back in return. That’s an absolute steal from the Philadelphia 76ers perspective. And if you’re the New Orleans Pelicans, why on earth would they make this deal? like why would you willingly take on Paul George which is fine at the right price but you’re giving up Zion who’s still a very talented player still pretty young as well plus draft capital because this team by the way they may be a draft lottery team for the foreseeable future and if they keep trading away their draft picks or draft picks that they own it kind of defeats the purpose of being in the draft lottery as well as rebuilding so I know that Zion’s you I guess future in New Orleans could be up for grabs like maybe he does get dealt at some point that’s very possible especially with new management coming in that didn’t draft him in the first place. But is it really going to be to the 76ers plus draft capital for Paul George who’s older, injury-prone, and regressing? Like, I don’t get this. Financially speaking as well, it does make sense for both sides because it’s a pretty similar deal. But like I said before, why would the Pelicans do this? I have no idea. From the 76ers perspective, I would definitely take this gamble. Like I would take on Zion who’s a little bit younger, injury-prone for sure, but when he is healthy, that front court of Joel Embiid who went healthy as well. Plus Zion would be absolutely electric. I guess there are some injury concerns by having that front court for the foreseeable future. But if you’re taking on draft capital as well, it’s kind of a win-win if you ask me. Uh, from a future standpoint as well as a current standpoint. So, I think the Pelicans do extremely well in this deal. I think the sorry, I think the 76ers do extremely well. I think the Pelicans do terribly. Uh, those are just my thoughts, but as always, leave yours down below.
