INSANE 11TH INNING! 🤯 | Brewers win 14th straight game
Well, Trevor McIll surrendering a run in the bottom of the 10th inning, but we’re still tied 2-2. Here’s the big curve ball to De La Cruz. And there’s a good one, too. Got him to commit. Tried to hold his swing, but he went around. I mean, this entire at bat a little puzzling if you’re a pitcher just trying to read his swings, but great job by McIll and Contrarus getting the out. gave him one fast ball as Joel Lorsa left-hander pitched in last night’s game. Had a one, two, three ninth inning. Faces the bottom third of the order. Durban the runner and Terang squared to bunt pulls it back for ball one. So Durban the automatic runner at second base in the 11th. Corners are playing in for the Reds. Derang missed the bunt. One and one. Looks like Andrew Monasterio has a bat in his hand. He would hit next for Tyler Black. Terra lays it down. That’s a good bunt. Lorsa gives to Hayes. The throw is going to be late. Terrain beat it out. Just a little indecision with Hayes and Lassour almost colliding. It’s a base hit bunt for Terra. Brian Hayes may even have stepped on Lorsa, but you’re taught to go after you’re called off. Hayes calls him off, catches the ball, and then has to step right into Lorsa who abandon ship, lays down, plays dead. That’s what you’re taught to do. Get out of the way. Terrain just too fast. Great punt. Monasterio hits for Tyler Black. Brewers doing the little things tonight. Brian O’Nora making the adjustment on his lineup card. [Applause] Corners are in. Double play depth up the middle. They can turn one up the middle. They can also come home. Fly ball deep left. Monasterio out and here. What else is new for the Milwaukee Brewers? Someone new stepping up night in and night out. You’ve got to be kidding me. Ambush first pitch via Dios three-run shot for Monasterio. Unbelievable. What else is new? First pitch to Lockage. Down and away from Monisterio. That is so fitting for him. shows up every day ready to work. Smile on his face. Never takes anything for granted. Lockidge a ground ball to short. De La Cruz throws him out. Murf talks about putting guys in the cooler. Monasterio, he came out hot. Wow. Murf had a hunch. Let’s go with this guy. Pinch hit for Tyler Black. Monasterio hits it out. Now Freelick pops it up. Ellie Dea Cruz makes the catch. Two away. [Applause] Still got to get three more outs in the bottom of the 11th inning for the placed runner. When you’re talking about Monisterio and you know hadn’t got a lot of playing time, but one thing you can say about this man is he comes to the field and he is ready to play. He is ready to play. He’s got all the gloves cuz he plays everywhere and he’s ready for any situation and we all got to witness it pay off here tonight. Time was called by Seagler. How about Monasterio as Nick Mirs is getting ready in the Brewers bullpen. He’s started just a couple of ball games, but he is seven for4 with three doubles, a homer, and six RBI’s now during this winning streak. Seagler swings and misses. And it’s 0 and two. [Applause] And now we’re going to see how he does in left field again. Pitch to Seagler. Pokes it to right. A base hit. inning continues. [Applause] What a moment. Down to your final out of the ninth inning. You tie it on an error, a throwing error by Ellie de la Cruz. Score a run in the top of the tenth only to give up a run in the bottom half. And now Andrew Monasterio taking center stage as Contrarus is at the plate looking to add. He hits it. Foul. Brewers fans have not left. As soon as that ball left the bat of Andrew Monisterio, I would say most Red’s fans got out of their seats and headed for the exits. Yeah, a lot of people wearing red are leaving. Contras [Applause] [Music] takes inside. One ball, one strike. And Contraras wants some stickum. Christian. Nope. I don’t want that. I want something else. How about Andrew Monasterio? Incredible. Always ready. Admir, Freddy Peralta giving him a bad time, man. Just so good. That’s what this thing is about. All 26 guys on that roster. And they love Monisterio, man. Every single day. They love to see him. They’re as happy. Probably happier for him than Monasterio is happy for himself. Fouls it away. The kind of teammate he is. and like you said, shows up every day with a smile on his face, willing to work. We’ve seen him do infield practice at multiple positions. [Applause] Runner goes one, two, foul back. We’ll do it again. Started with the infield single by Bryce Terang on a bunt. Bad communication. Almost a collision with Hayes and Lorsa. And then Monasterio on the first pitch. Yatsi. [Applause] Battle continues with Contras. You know they say each level you go up in the minor leagues, the game gets a little bit faster. Then you get to the big leagues and you already know the game is fast. But what the Brewers do really well is they make the game speed up, especially for the pitcher with the pressure they put on the defense. I mean, you saw the bunt play. He has he’s going after it. He has to duck out of the way for Hayes and the next pitch, three-run blast. That’s not coincidence all the time. That’s because of pressure and kind of being out of your element and the game speeding up on you and you’re not able to stop it, especially with the pitch clock nowadays. I mean, it just keeps going. [Applause] A lot of Reds fans in disbelief, but this is what the Brewers have done all month long. [Applause] Runner goes. Contra fouls it away again. Yeah, you give the Brewers an inch, they’re going to take 90 ft. Told you he’s got a lot of gloves in that bag. He’s going to break out that outfield glove. That’s high and away. Good at bat here with Contrarus. Get fouled away. Four straight. Get some good love for the utility men of the world. Monasterio being a hero tonight here in the 10th. Sorry. 11th. Not yet. Still got to get three more outs. Got the big hit. Yeah, it is a big hit. Brewers been looking for that big hit all night. Three and two on Contras. Two out. Seagler will run and a popup shallow center for Freedel. That will end the top of the 11th inning. Andrew Monasterio, the man of the hour, his second home run of the season. First pitch he saw in the game. See you later. The Brewers three outs away from a franchise record. 14 straight wins. [Music] Takes a full roster. And tonight using almost all of it. Andrew Monasterio big three-run home run in a pinch hit capacity in the 11th inning. He takes over in left. And Nick Mirs who has seven professional saves all in the minor leagues. Is coming on to try and pick up his first career big league save. Came in early of yesterday’s ball game. The fifth inning through a scoreless one. Struck out a batter. You’re going to see that curveball slider at the bottom of the zone and usually a fast ball the top or bottom of the zone. Very deceptive in his delivery. Hides the ball really well. He’s got a three-run cushion. Ellie de la Cruz is the place runner at second base. Miguel Anduhire the hitter and takes down and away ball one. Mir’s worked last night as you mentioned, one strikeout. Worked an inning and a third the day before that. Two out of four for And Duhar. And it seems as if we’re having a communication issue with Mirs. There was used six bullpin guys in last night’s ball game using six here tonight. Probably running out of those pitchcom devices. Six guys last night to cover seven and two/3 innings. Tonight trying to cover five and 2/3. One and0 on And Duhar who’s facing Mirs for the third time. He’s one for two and a popup foul. One ball in one strike. You know, watching and Duhar these last two games, this guy’s this guy’s a threat, man. This guy knows how to hit. He’s a righty that has pop to the right side. You can tell he’s very smart at the plate, trying to figure out what pitch he can select to try to do something with it. And Doohart fouls it away. It’s one ball and two strikes. That slider is such a good pitch for Mirrors. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] And Doohar into the gap in left center for Lockidge. He is there. Makes the catch. David Cruz tags. He’s headed for third. The throw there late. He can take third. No big deal. Still got a three-run lead as Espal hits for the first time. At this point, it’s a countdown to that final out. Espolu [Music] came in to play in left field after Freillley got hurt. Both teams have used three different left fielders tonight. [Applause] Swing and a miss. 97 for Mirs. It’s three straight games for Mirrors. Yes, there was the off day on Thursday. Needs two more outs. [Music] There’s a strike. One and two. I think you gladly exchange a run for an out if that’s what it comes to, but if not, strike this guy out. One, two. Fly ball center field. Lockage is there tagging Da Cruz. He’s going to come down the line and score. It’s 6 to4, but you will absolutely trade that out for a run. You have an Espanol who enters the ball game in that situation. I mean, it’s almost a it’s a free ride. Like, you know what? I’ll swing for the fence. Worst case scenario, get an RBI out of it. Well, down by two. That tying run is in the on deck circle. Mirrors trying to get Noel Vi Marte. Two away in the bottom of the 11th inning. The Brewers looking for win number 14 in a row. Marte fouls it away. Third base side. And all the Brewers fans that are in attendance in Cincinnati are on their feet trying to get a taste of history. [Applause] Marte deep left. That’s a problem. It’s a one-run game. 65 as Marte unloads. [Music] [Applause] Well, just like the Brewers, Reds are not going quietly into the night. This slider Mirs does not get back. Middle of the plate. Marte sends it. His ninth homer of the season. One more out to get this slider. Had some hang time on it. And Marte knew it. Still down one. Matt Mlan digs in for the Reds. 0 for four with four Ks and a swing and an S. It’s 0 and one on MLAN. Well, this game has had a little bit of everything, huh? Mike Palms haven’t stopped sweating since the eighth. Mom spaghetti, I hear you. You knew Marte was going to be a tough out just because going back to early in the ball game when he misplayed that ball in right field off terrain was bad. You always want to have that redemption story. So guys like that that have that in the back of their mind, you know they’re going to be dangerous at the plate. It doesn’t surprise me that he got a good swing off against me. Mlan’s got pop 11 home runs. Mirs needs one more out. He threw the slider low again. has never had a big league save as the Brewers bullpen starts to heat up. [Applause] [Music] Mlan fly ball center field. Lockage is back. Lockage makes the catch. 14 in a row for the Milwaukee Brewers. The hottest team in the land comes from behind and they win it in 11. [Music] Brewers fans soaking it all up in Cincinnati, seeing something that has never been done in the franchise’s history. 14 straight wins and they needed everybody on their roster tonight to accomplish it. Thought last night was a wild one. This one may rival that. Incredible game. Heroes all around. Brewers once again making history. What a season. What a team this has been. Consistently going out there and playing amazing baseball. McGill with the win. Mirrors with his first save of his big league career. Monasterio playing hero. Three-run blast. Incredible stuff. [Applause] Nick Mirs able to put the finishing touches with that fly ball to deep center. Lockage had just enough face Andrew Monasterio. He was the guy with the big hit today. And the Brewers fans in Cincinnati are loving every single second, [Applause] 14 straight wins. Sophia Midard is down on the field with tonight’s hero Andrew Monasterio. Mona, it’s the hardest job to do to come in and pinch hit late in the game. What was your approach? What did you want to do? So, it’s different when you play every day. When you don’t play, you have to like change your routine. I think that the key for me is my is my routine, you know? So, like when I’m starting, when I’m not starting, I have to change my routine. It’s tough, but it’s part of my job. Uh it’s part of my job. So like uh I love this journey, you know. I love this uh I love this. So I love this part of my job. So obviously everybody want to play every day. But like I love this first pitch change up. What do you like about that pitch to put such a good swing on it? To be honest, I want to to put the ball in play. I want to go to the other way, but he hanging that sha so I take advantage of it. What will you remember about the reaction from your teammates in the dugout and this crowd here to help this team get a 14game winning streak? So it’s amazing. Uh we we set the franchise record. Yeah, it’s a new franchise record. So it’s amazing. So it’s something I I get blessed, you know. So be part of it, be part of this team is amazing. Um you know, so like we want to like clinch obviously. We want to win it all. We want to win the World Series mentally. So Pat Murphy say the since since the day one. So like be ready to win every day. So that’s like part of my job. Help the team to win every day. Mona, last one for you. It’s a different guy every night. Tonight it was your night. Yeah. This is the eighth comeback win in this winning streak. What is it about this team that you guys are able to do this so consistently? I think never give up and take like inning by inning, you know. So like yesterday the guy show up. So that’s so the the the job like the job talk for for himself, you know. So it’s amazing. So it’s God bless, you know. So God bless like we are part of this and it’s amazing. All right. Enjoy it from these fans and these bullpen. What a great moment. Mona, congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. Fitting number 14 is the one that delivers the 14th straight win. Andrew Monisterio, a three-run home run, and it held up as the Brewers come from behind and win it by a final of six to five in 11 innings. A franchise record, 14 straight wins. Why not make it 15 tomorrow afternoon to go for the sweep against the Reds?
The Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds entered the 11th inning tied at 3. The Brewers scored 3 in the top of the inning, and the Reds came exceptionally close to extending the game even longer!

To everyone saying the Brewers will exit in the first round, two things. First, if that's all you can say, don't say anything at all. And second, we are NOT like the other Brewers teams.
I give up. Brewers are the Reds daddy. As a Reds fan we are never beating this team. They are in our heads. 13th straight series loss, and 44-16 over that stretch.
14 gives 14!!! Uecker magic….damn. ❤🎉❤
Wow.
That's amazing.
Ignore the Dodger Doomers
the reds gave two straight games to the brewers ,the reds are a minor league baseball team
This run is the most fun ever as a Brewers fan!! I remember exactly where I was when the 1987 team won 13 in a row to start the season, I was in the Air Force and stationed at Malmstrom AFB driving the road! Tonight, I was so stressed out I decided to go to bed the top of the 9th hoping I would wake up to a Uecker miracle and by #14 player get that home run to help keep the streak alive it was more than I could have ever dreamt up!!
Vaya… con dios
MLB has BETTER HIGHLIGHTS THAN THE ACTUAL BREWERS CHANNEL #BREWERS
DUDE YOU AINT LASORDA GTFO OF THE MLB
Let's f-ing go, Brew Crew!!! It's magical. Keep brewing, Brewers!
First pitch to Lockridge.. Just a bit outside…
The reason they won today was because they won yesterday. 13 was gonna be tough? It always is. But I knew it was gonna be a lucky number for them.
Watching those 14 games seemed like watching the World Series for some reason. Every game got that excitement going, and it's only August?
im wonderign what the cubs are think rightn ow despite them wining also 5 games next w the brewers after they finsh sweeping another team no doubt if the brewers jsut take it one patient bat at a time the pitchers stay focus the vubs have no chance agaisnt them evne if the brewers let them have an 8 1 lead in 3 inning cubs should jsut say we sut let u ahvethese 5 games
Wow How Happy I am as Mil-Town for life as always forever be to finally witness something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. I thought Brewers will never become this Elite and It is finally happening. Wow! We are witnessing history! I remember my dad taking me to the Milwaukee brewers game was so much fun.
cubs will beat this in the playoffs
MIL fans toast every night fortnight🍻
That whole thing where a runner is on second base in extra innings, automatically… really? really? Who thought of that? Whoever did, should be banned from watching baseball forever
414 ❤
first pitch just blasted
Is this one of the top games of the year? The drama, energy and passion felt like a playoff game
So far so good the best Brewers season in my 42 years of life. Go crew
🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱DODGERS🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱
ONLY ONE WAY TO GET TO THE WORLD SERIES
Honeyball
Man the goose bump moments keep piling up. Unbelievable 🎉🎉🎉
So to be real. Minus the errors, the brewers lose 4 of 5 to NY+CIN. I love the crew an can't wait till the postseason but enjoying the ride there. But c'mon, every team we play enters the twilight zone for 3 games. Really curious what happens in Chicago?!!
Brew crew is it. They have power this time
Dang, lol Phillies, Dodgers, Mets, Padres, Reds, Cubs, and some sneaky teams this year has made this years season so much fun to watch.
Can yall just say a prayer for my man Zack Wheeler!!
I was in junior high when the Brewers started the '87 season 13-0. Of course, Bob Uecker was a big part of that as I could only ever "watch" games on the radio. I miss Bob so much!
This year's team, wow, wow, wow, so unreal! Regardless of win loss record, this is the best Brewers TEAM. Murphy and his staff, the front office, are the toast of MLB as the smallest market with a Bottom 10 payroll.
